Chapter 174 Apocalypse or Rebirth

For one person, tomorrow is destined to be an extraordinary day, because fate always loves to play tricks.

At 11:59 PM on December 20, 2012, as the world was about to usher in a new day, many people were already soundly asleep.

In front of Li Sisui's special care ward, the emergency bell suddenly rang. Immediately, the on-duty doctors and nurses rushed into the ward. Seeing that the heart rate monitor had become a straight line and the heart rate was zero, the doctor immediately used electric shock to try to save Li Sisui.

When the electroshock equipment was set up and the doctor was about to begin administering the shocks, the entire space suddenly became incredibly viscous.

The doctor raised the defibrillator with both hands, and then lowered it with incredible slowness. Everyone's movements became incredibly slow, just like a slow-motion scene in a movie, but this time it felt so real.

Everyone was gripped by panic, their terrified eyes unable to believe what they were seeing. Their desperate screams were like a tiny, powerless bubble rising from the surface of a turbulent sea.

The last thing the doctors and nurses saw was that the entire ward was filled with dazzling white light!

My body felt a burning sensation, as if I were naked under the scorching sun.

Outside the window, it was as bright as day, but after only a few seconds, they disappeared as if evaporated by the high temperature.

At this moment, Li Sisui, who was lying on the hospital bed, was enveloped in white light, which gradually formed a viscous band of light, and it gathered more and more.

The familiar world outside the window is gone; the whole world is collapsing and sinking.

Countless bottomless ravines appeared on the ground, tearing everything apart swiftly and powerfully, accompanied by a rumbling sound from underground.

The city's skyscrapers collapsed one after another like dominoes being toppled.

In this apocalyptic scene, there was not a single human screaming for help.

Besides the booming sounds of buildings collapsing, there were explosions everywhere.

The mountains that once stood proudly on Earth for countless years are now seeing their snow and ice melt and evaporate.

Accompanied by the rumbling sounds of collapse at the foot of the mountain, its towering form gradually disappeared amidst the tearing force of nature.

It was as if countless giant beasts were running underground, and the enormous sounds were like playing an apocalyptic symphony, mournful, desolate, grand yet inspiring.

The mountains that were once mountains have become plains, and the plains that were once plains have risen up again to form mountains.

Countless forests and grasslands were engulfed and buried underground by the churning soil.

And what was once buried underground was able to see the light of day again thanks to this earth-shaking power.

This force of nature is like the wheel of history, which is powerless against anyone and anything, rolling forward and crushing everything in its path.

The calm, deep sea now appears to be boiling, with bubbles constantly bursting and rising.

As sea levels continue to rise, scalding seawater overflows past former coastal cities and mountains, flowing into rivers and lakes.

Then keep going, immersing the whole world in it!

No one can imagine what kind of natural force could possess such power.

Mountains were burned and seas boiled, the sky was ravaged and the earth was submerged. Human civilization instantly reverted to its primitive state, and the entire world was left desolate and devoid of life.

Looking down at this blue planet from space, you'll find that it now shines as brightly as the sun.

It was as if something was burning fiercely, and time no longer mattered at this moment, because no one cared about time anymore.

The entire Earth, the entire world, was plunged into destruction.

In the endless wait, the once radiant blue planet began to dim, like a red-hot iron block falling into cold water, gradually returning to its original state.

However, the temperature did not stabilize soon; instead, it continued to drop, and the cold gradually covered the entire Earth. The once blue planet had become a cold world enveloped in ice and snow.

After being subjected to alternating cycles of scorching heat and frigid cold, the entire human civilization has been utterly devoid of life, shrouded in a deathly stillness. As far as the eye can see, there is nothing but silence, a deathly silence, and the Earth has fallen into silent destruction.

In some unknown place on Earth, in a small space of only sixty or seventy square meters, there are many monitors on the walls that display "NoSingle".

The cluttered space was constantly trembling from the surrounding walls, and the monitors on the walls were shaking so much that they seemed ready to fall at any moment.

The room was filled with all sorts of unknown instruments, flashing dazzling lights and occasionally emitting piercing alarm sounds.

In this chaotic environment, a middle-aged man with a hunched back and simply dressed stared silently at the only monitor displaying an image in front of him.

His hands, white from gripping the table so tightly, revealed that his outward calm could not conceal the turmoil within him, or rather, a raging storm.

The screen displayed a scene of utter destruction, with the sky collapsing, the earth sinking, and the clouds churning.

As the camera position continued to descend, it was soon swallowed by the sea, and then the screen went black, displaying "NoSingle".

The middle-aged man, as if he had survived a disaster, collapsed to the ground, exhausted, breathing heavily. His labored breathing filled the small space.

After an unknown amount of time, a piercing alarm sounded, startling the middle-aged man from his half-asleep state.

"Warning! Equipment temperature too low. Warning! Equipment temperature too low."

The middle-aged man jumped up and quickly ran to a machine, pressing several buttons.
