Chapter 181 The First Appearance of the Tail Clan

"These mere ants of the Tu tribe dare to injure my dignity and challenge the might of my tribe! They shall be slaughtered! The glory of the Wei tribe shall not be tainted!"

Even on his deathbed, the cat-eared man gritted his teeth and spoke with a resounding voice, showing no fearlessness in the face of death.

The bear-man seemed to be infected by the cat-eared man's resounding voice. Watching the cat-eared man gradually lose his vitality and become shriveled up, the bear-man was filled with resentment and roared to the sky, which echoed through the mountains and forests.

After the cat-eared man performed the procedure, his blood mysteriously evaporated and disappeared into the void, turning him into a dried-up corpse in just a few minutes.

After hoisting the cat-eared man's corpse onto his back, the bear-man roared hatefully in the direction where the Cloud Piercer had disappeared, then turned and ran into the depths of the forest, vanishing without a trace.

The Cloud Piercer, carrying Wu Fan, sped off again. The light wings on their backs had become dim and lifeless, and soon after, they collapsed and disappeared with a "bang".

The Cloud Piercer and Wu Fan also fell from mid-air. Fortunately, due to the lush trees around them, although they fell in a rather disheveled manner, they were not seriously injured.

Before the Cloud Piercer could confirm the location, he suddenly felt an unbearable itch on his right arm.

Upon closer inspection, one could see that the blood on his right arm from killing the cat-eared man was slowly gathering into a strange scarlet pattern, and his entire arm was visibly deflated, like a balloon losing air.

Chuan Yun's left hand shimmered with light, and with a swift movement, he severed his own right arm in an instant!

He then tore off his clothes with his left hand and wrapped them around the shoulder where his right arm had been lost to stop the bleeding. Perhaps the pain was too intense, for Chuan Yun's gloomy face trembled uncontrollably, and he forced out four words through clenched teeth:

"Tail Clan's sorcery!"

Although the Cloud Piercer did not understand the language of the Tail Clan and did not know what the two Tail Clan members were talking about, he had traveled all over the country for many years and was knowledgeable. He had also heard of the Tail Clan's sorcery, and now it was happening to him.

If it weren't for the Cloud Piercer's decisive act of severing his right arm, he would probably have turned into a dried-up corpse like the cat-eared man in no time.

The Tail Clan's sorcery uses blood as a medium, harming both the user and others, taking two lives with a single technique, fierce and bloody.

Chuan Yun leaned against a large tree, panting heavily, large beads of sweat streaming down his forehead.

It seems that although he was brave and decisive in cutting off his right arm, the pain he endured was beyond what ordinary people could bear.

Wu Fan watched as the usually silent and serious Cloud Piercer severed his right arm, blood gushing out, the clothes covering the wound quickly becoming soaked with blood. He didn't know what to say; everything had happened too suddenly.

Even now, Wu Fan still doesn't know exactly what happened. He only knows that he just encountered the Tail Clan. The Cloud Piercer suddenly attacked and killed one person and repelled another. The Tail Clan used sorcery, forcing the Cloud Piercer to cut off his arm to survive.

After an unknown amount of time, a sliver of light appeared on the dark sky, and the gloomy, dark forest began to brighten.

A ray of light pierced the night sky, tinging the dark and silent horizon with a rosy hue, revealing the dawn's first light; the day had finally broken.

Blood continued to flow from the Cloud Piercer's right arm, dripping through layers of cloth and onto the ground. Enduring the excruciating pain, the Cloud Piercer gritted his teeth and said to Wu Fan:

"Pull up the three dark green weeds in front of you by the roots, remove the branches and leaves, and bring them to me!"

By the faint light of sunrise, Wu Fan noticed that there were indeed several dark green plants standing quietly not far from his feet.

The crystal-clear morning dew clung to the branches and leaves. A gentle breeze blew by, and the branches swayed, scattering the dew all over the ground.

Wu Fan dragged his numb left leg and limped to the dark green plant. Following the Cloud Piercer's instructions, he quickly uprooted it, removed all the branches and leaves, and handed it to the Cloud Piercer.

Chuan Yun took the plant root with his left hand, put it in his mouth and chewed it quickly. After crushing it, he spat it into his palm, mixed it with juice and saliva, and removed the tattered cloth binding his right arm. With his left hand, he pressed the dark green clump onto the wound on his right arm.

He then began to re-bandage the wound. Completing this series of actions seemed to have exhausted all of Chuanyun's strength. He leaned against a big tree, panting heavily, completely devoid of his usual seriousness and indifference.

"Stop the bleeding first. It's already dawn. Once we recover some of our cultivation, we can reach the stronghold in one go. If anything else goes wrong, we'll have to risk our lives for a chance of survival. Just in case, we should send out a distress signal once we reach the vicinity of the stronghold and wait for our clansmen inside to come out and meet us!"

The Cloud Piercer looked up at the gradually brightening sky and thought to himself.

The look in her eyes as she looked at Wu Fan became complicated. Was this a case of "good things come to those who wait"?

The Cloud Piercer took a deep breath, stood up, and gestured to Wu Fan to continue forward. Wu Fan followed behind the Cloud Piercer with a limp, and the two gradually walked away and slowly disappeared into the woods.

The wind in the forest suddenly grew stronger, and the branches swayed as if they were trembling in fear of some ferocious creature.

Wu Fan followed behind the Cloud Piercer, hanging at a distance that was neither too close nor too far.

In the early morning, the mountain forest is alive with life, and the fragrance of grass and trees mixed with the breeze makes one feel completely relaxed.

Their steps quickened unconsciously, and as they got closer to the Tu tribe's stronghold, Chuan Yun's tense nerves gradually relaxed, and the wound on his right arm finally stopped bleeding.

The massive blood loss left the Cloud Piercer feeling weak, but fortunately, the sunlight helped him recover some of his cultivation, preventing him from becoming completely powerless.

However, the recovery speed was rather slow, and I was unable to condense the light wings despite several attempts.

If we rely solely on walking, it will take quite some time to reach the outpost.

"Let's gather some more cultivation and send out a distress signal first, just in case."

The Cloud Piercer pondered as he walked.

The bleeding from the Cloud Piercer's shoulder has stopped, and his complexion has regained some color, unlike the deathly paleness he had just experienced from excessive blood loss.
