Chapter 177 Awakening

Slowly, I turned my eyes to look around and found myself surrounded by four or five people of different ages.

Some had white hair and beards, while others held gleaming golden shields, but none of that mattered. What mattered was that none of these people recognized themselves.

Li instinctively tried to curl up and sit up, but found that her body wouldn't obey her commands at all.

With his hands and feet completely out of his control, Li Sisui looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings in terror.

"I'm finally awake. It took fifteen days to regain consciousness. I thought I would never wake up!"

Ah Jing said with a sigh:

"However, this person has been unconscious for too long and is temporarily unable to move. His body needs some time to adapt and adjust."

After speaking, he looked at Li Sisui with great interest, but when they met eyes, all he saw was terror, like a small animal caught in the butcher's clutches, frightened and panicked.

"He doesn't seem to understand us. Of course, I'm not sure; he may have just woken up and hasn't regained his language ability yet," A-Jing said with some surprise.

Upon hearing this, the village elder stepped forward and approached Li Sisui. A golden light flashed behind him as he bent down to look at Li Sisui.

His originally kind face instantly turned sharp, and his aura instantly expanded infinitely, becoming utterly arrogant.

The village elder, having used his cultivation to this effect, intended to test Li Sisui's abilities.

How could a normal cultivator tolerate such behavior from others? Yet Li Sisui's eyes remained filled with terror, nothing else, only a growing sense of confusion.

The village elder stood up and said:

"Ah Hui and Ah Yao will temporarily put aside their current tasks and take charge of this person's food, lodging, and safety, taking turns to supervise him!"

"Without my permission, this person is not allowed to step out of this place, nor is anyone from the village allowed to approach this place. We will make a decision after this person has fully recovered!"

Li Sisui listened to the strange language from some unknown country beside him and watched the white-bearded old man's inexplicable actions, completely unaware of what they were doing.

Soon, everyone in the room dispersed, leaving only Li Sixui, who laboriously turned his neck to look around the simple room in front of him.

It was completely unimaginable that he would have such an unusual experience in a dilapidated building in his lifetime. He glanced out the window at the lush trees, but Li Sisui could not recall a single familiar memory.

An unfamiliar environment, an unfamiliar language, unfamiliar onlookers—where am I?

Is heaven really this simple and environmentally friendly? Or am I still dreaming?

Li Sisui tried to shake his body, but he couldn't muster any strength and struggled helplessly for an unknown amount of time.

Finally, I simply closed my eyes, hoping that I was still dreaming and that when I woke up, I would be back in my familiar world.

Not long after, with deep, heavy breathing, Li Sisui fell into a deep sleep again. Perhaps it was because he had received too many things that were difficult to digest and understand after waking up, or perhaps it was because he had used up too much energy to wake up.

In short, Li Sisui slept very soundly, his first sleep since regaining consciousness, and he slept so peacefully that he didn't even consider whether his current environment was familiar or safe.

Because they have no choice, because they don't know, they become reckless, like newborn infants who know nothing about the future.

In another dwelling in the village, three people sat around a simple square table. Apart from a few water glasses, there was nothing else on the table; it looked clean, tidy, and elegant.

Two of them were the village elder and A Jing, while the other old man was a stranger. He had dark skin, strong arms, and an unknown grass root in his mouth. If it weren't for his hunched back and slightly aged appearance, it would be hard to tell that he was an old man.

"What does Old Chen think of this person? Ah Jing just gave a brief overview," the village elder said, looking at the dark-skinned old man.

"According to A Jing, combined with A Yao's discovery, this person can cultivate and absorb even while in a coma."

"Although he hasn't recovered yet and the specifics are unclear, this alone shows that he is no nobody!"

"Furthermore, if A-Jing's guess is correct, and if this person is indeed the one that the organization is looking for, we must report it immediately and relocate him, otherwise it will be a catastrophic disaster for the village!"

"If the speculation is true, reporting the relocation is a must. However, it is unknown when the Cloud Piercer will return to the village, and we ourselves do not have the power to relocate," the village elder said helplessly.

“It has been more than half a year since the Cloud Piercer left. His return should be imminent. The most urgent task is to confirm his identity as soon as possible so that we can make full preparations,” Old Chen said, stroking the grass root.

Ah Jing, who was standing to the side, didn't say anything more. His solemn expression showed that this matter was of utmost importance.

Old Chen's words were not alarmist; that organization was indeed arbitrary and capricious, acting entirely on its whims and completely defying common sense.

It's not unheard of for someone to kill and massacre an entire village in order to obtain something; it's best to be cautious.

The three exchanged a glance and remained silent, and the room fell into a long silence once again.

Li Sisui slept for two days straight, undisturbed by the wind and thunder outside.

When I woke up again, I found myself still lying in the dilapidated building, with no one around. I slowly got up and moved my limbs, and finally everyone returned to their places and followed orders.

I couldn't help but stretch, my joints cracking all over, feeling completely relaxed. It feels so good to be alive.

Li Sisui finally realized that he was still alive. After experiencing illness, despair, and separation from loved ones, he was still alive!

Is it going to explode?

What about Leng Rushuang?

Where is Yao Shiba?

Where exactly is this? Could it be that we've wandered into another place like last time?
