In such a small and relatively enclosed environment, my attention was originally focused on finding an exit and I didn't pay much attention to my surroundings. Now that there was no hope of escaping, I noticed the unusual activity around me.
The strong man looked in the direction of the sound and saw a body lying in a corner not far away, its body wrapped in black silk, its life hanging in the balance.
Judging from his physique, he is undoubtedly human. His presence here at this time is quite intriguing. The giant forest is boundless and teeming with monsters. Life and death can happen in an instant. How could a human survive in such a place until now?
Countless guesses flashed through the strong man's mind, but once he confirmed that it was human, half of his anxiety subsided. However, he didn't drop the stone that he had casually picked up with his right hand.
It seemed he wasn't entirely without scruples. The muscular man took a few more steps forward before realizing that the black silk wrapped around the human was actually the human's own hair.
Apart from his black hair, his body was completely naked, suggesting that he must have experienced something before losing consciousness, otherwise he wouldn't be like this.
The strong man approached, only to find that the human with black hair showed no reaction whatsoever. If it weren't for the faint, persistent breathing that reminded him that the person was still alive, it wouldn't be surprising if he were mistaken for a corpse.
The muscular man waved his hand in front of the black-haired human, then gently pushed him, but the black-haired human didn't react at all.
The muscular man sat down on the ground and muttered to himself:
"Now, whether I live or die is up to us. Nobody can afford to mess with that thing outside. I can only wait for Brother Yao and the others to come and rescue me by following the mark I left!"
Just as he finished speaking, they heard someone faintly shouting from the cave entrance:
"Ahui, Ahui, are you inside?"
The strong man scrambled to his feet and ran towards the cave entrance, his eyes welling up with tears as he ran, shouting as he went:
"Brother Yao! Brother Yao! I'm inside! I've finally waited for you!"
As Ahui emerged from the cave, he encountered three men who were about to enter. The man in the lead, a middle-aged man with a simple and honest face and a burly build, was probably the Yao-ge that Ahui had mentioned.
Ah Hui was very excited to see Yao Ge, but kept glancing at the open space behind Yao Ge. He saw nothing but a large pool of blood. Looking at Yao Ge with a puzzled expression, he said:
"Brother Yao, did you kill that tusked wild boar?"
The middle-aged man, referred to as Brother Yao, said with a solemn expression:
"No, this is the scene we found when we followed your marks. This place is quite eerie and we shouldn't stay here any longer. We'd better leave quickly!"
The others nodded in agreement.
Ahui said, "There is another unconscious human in the cave, with very weak breathing. Should we rescue him?"
"If it's confirmed to be human, we certainly can't just stand by and watch them die. As for the final decision on what to do, we'll have to wait until we get back to the village!"
