Chapter 60 Shackles

As usual, she changed the tray and was about to get up when the figure on the bed suddenly moved.

The sound of chains clanging was heard, startling the maid, whose face turned deathly pale.

Geng Qi sat up and turned around; the maid was already kneeling on the ground.

"..." Is he really that scary?

Seeing that she lowered her head and did not speak, Geng Qi had a guess in his mind, but he did not care and said in a low voice, "Bring it over."

The maid looked up, her eyes filled with undisguised surprise, but she quickly realized what she meant and replied, "Yes."

Without glancing at the shackles and chains binding the man's feet, she held the freshly cooked porridge to him and handed it to him without looking at him.

After being in a coma for more than half a year, he woke up and began to cause trouble. He then went on a hunger strike for several days. The man's once handsome face had become weak and frail. Looking at his profile, his jawbone was frighteningly thin, and there were faint dark circles under his eyes, making people feel sorry for him.

His Highness the Crown Prince never allowed anyone to have contact with this young master. She was the only maid who was allowed to enter this room. Half a month ago, he was still unconscious. After that, whenever he came in, the young master was either in a daze or lying on the couch. He never ate anything that was brought in. But today, he was acting out of character, which was really surprising.

Regardless of what she thought, Geng Qi scooped up the porridge, which was at a suitable temperature, and put it in his mouth. He was terribly hungry, but after drinking only half a bowl, he felt uncomfortable. He felt it was a waste to leave it, so he forced himself to eat a few more bites.

The maid was heartbroken. She thought that after guarding him for more than half a year, this person must be someone that His Highness the Crown Prince cherished. Who would have thought that after he woke up, he would be tortured like this?

Geng Qi couldn't eat anymore, so he put down the spoon.

The maidservant immediately took it with a tray, curtsied, and turned to leave.

After the door closed, Geng Qi heard the maid say to the servants outside the door, "Go and inform His Highness that the young master has eaten."

The sound of clothes fluttering in the wind could be heard; someone had left the courtyard.

Geng Qi frowned and asked, "Why can they fly?"

"And what about me?"

"..."

Geng Qi pursed his lips, then suddenly thought of something and said, "You said there's almost no spiritual energy in the illusion, which means there actually is?"

"It doesn't matter."

Geng Qi's eyes lit up slightly. It was obviously unrealistic to practice martial arts here; the commotion would be too great, and Rong Yu wouldn't allow him to practice martial arts. If it was cultivation, his current condition was the perfect fit.

Geng Qi smiled: "Shatter his illusion."

Rong Yu hoped he would be "gentle and weak," but he refused. No matter what kind of world or what kind of identity one is in, no one can control everything. It is impossible for him to control everyone with his own power!

Soon Geng Qi realized that if he hadn't come, Rong Yu might have been able to control everything with his own hands!

After lunch, Geng Qi thought dinner would be served on time, but in reality, he waited until it was completely dark, and no one stepped into the room.

Around 7 PM, he suddenly smelled a sweet, cloying fragrance. He felt dizzy, realized what was happening, quickly covered his mouth and nose, and lay down on his side on the bed.

Having spent so much time with scorpions, he was extremely familiar with things like "date rape drugs."

Rong Yu actually drugged him!

He's so thin now, just skin and bones, and that person even drugged him? What was their intention?

He felt a strange sense of anticipation, but the thought of being tormented and suffering terribly in reality sent a chill down his spine.

The fragrance didn't last long. Geng Qi let go of her hand, closed her eyes, and lay quietly on the bed. After a while, the door was pushed open, and barely audible footsteps approached, getting closer and closer, before stopping beside the bed.

The person on the bed felt their heart race, but relaxed even more, pretending to be fast asleep.

Pretending to be asleep is his specialty!

Rong Yu, being of "mortal eye," certainly wouldn't be able to tell.

However, the person behind him remained silent for a long time.

Although his cultivation was gone, his spiritual consciousness remained. Geng Qi could feel that the person was staring at him. His heartbeat was steady, but his emotions were complicated.

Rong Yu stood by the bed and gazed at him for a long time before sitting down on the bedside. He felt a slight itch on his ear; it was Rong Yu's hand. He seemed to hear a helpless sigh as Rong Yu moved to the back of Rong Yu's neck and gently lifted his upper body.

Approaching the familiar embrace, Geng Qi instinctively wanted to snuggle closer, but he forcibly restrained himself.

The two of them were in a position that didn't seem like they were going to do *that*, which made him even more suspicious, and he pretended to be asleep even more earnestly.

A moment later, something pressed against my lips, warm and moist. Before I could react, something entered my mouth.

It has a slightly sweet taste and a slightly bitter taste. The flavor is quite good. After swallowing, you can smell a faint medicinal aroma!

Soup? 'Medicine'?

After two words flashed through his mind for a while, Geng Qi finally understood what the person holding him was doing.

When Geng Qi wanted to go on a hunger strike, he couldn't persuade him or let go, so he used this stupid method: if Geng Qi refused to eat during the day, he would find other ways to feed him at night. By keeping him like this, apart from feeling unwell from hunger during the day, his body wouldn't really develop any serious problems in the short term.

Lost in his thoughts, he forgot to swallow, and a few drops of the medicine slid out from the corner of his mouth, which were quickly wiped away with a cloth. The practiced movements showed that he had done it many times before.

There was a sound of the bottom of a bowl hitting the tray. Geng Qi waited for a long time but nothing came to eat, and he couldn't help but frown slightly.

He's still not full!

Just as he was feeling regretful, his body suddenly rose slightly. Before he could even wonder what was going on, he felt a warmth on his lips as a large mouthful of medicinal soup was suddenly poured over him. Caught off guard, he choked on it.

"Cough! Cough! Cough..."
