Chapter 2 A Bizarre Journey (shuhaige.net)

"etc……"

Luo Qiushui said weakly as she climbed onto the back seat to take out a delicate, miniature bag.

"Danger!" the electronic butler cried out.

The mechanical arm that extended from the flying car quickly blocked Luo Qiushui from getting into the back seat, leaving Luo Qiushui stunned.

"All luggage has been delivered, and the young lady has arrived at the station. This mission is complete. The intelligent system predicts congestion at the station exit in three minutes. Evacuate now!"

"Bang!" The car door slammed shut.

"Squeak—" The mechanical arm retracted.

"Screech!" The wheels turned on the asphalt road and sped away, leaving Luo Qiushui surrounded by dust.

"My electronic bracelet... ugh..."

After retching in the bathroom, Luo Qiushui, half-dead, took the elevator from the bathroom to the waiting room.

"Excuse me, are you taking this bus?" the waiting room attendant stopped her.

"To Banbu."

Luo Qiushui explained it simply and clearly.

"Your name?"

"Luo Qiushui".

The electronic screen spun rapidly, and a query message popped up, which the waiting staff saw.

"Your train K525 is about to depart. Please proceed to waiting room 1 to check in as soon as possible. K525 will stop at the station for another five minutes, where there is a special express green channel."

A gust of wind blew in, and Luo Qiushui rushed into the waiting room like a gust of wind. There was a long queue in front of the only elevator. She cursed under her breath, looking at the height from here to the second basement level.

"Seven meters?"

The screen displayed a suitable position and movement for jumping down. She opened the adapter, loosened her joints, and then leaped over the railing!

"Excuse me, I'm in a hurry!"

She weaved through the crowd and ran to the flight attendant as fast as she could.

"Train K525 is about to depart. Please fasten your seatbelts!" The electronic voice announced repeatedly over the microphone.

Please show your ID.

She rolled up her sleeve to reveal a white QR code. An electronic light flashed across her arm, and after scanning it and confirming that everything was correct, the flight attendant let her board the train.

After boarding the bus and finding a seat, there were only three minutes left before departure.

"We made it."

Luo Qiushui breathed a sigh of relief, but felt a little flustered as she sat down.

"We made it in time. The electronic butler is still useful. Let's take a look at the electronic..."

Her smile froze on her lips as she suddenly realized she had left her bag on the flying car!

"You incompetent housekeeper, I'm going to uninstall you when I get home! Humph!"

-

The car slowly moved forward—

The time on the bus was incredibly boring. The passengers around her were watching movies, chatting, or making phone calls using their electronic wristbands, while Luo Qiushui just stared blankly out the window.

"How about I go to the restroom?"

She wanted to cry but had no tears.

I reached into my pocket to look for tissues, and a ring-shaped object landed in my palm, with a metallic feel.

"This is?"

She opened her palm, and an electronic bracelet came into view. It was from the holographic online game she had registered for that day; she'd heard it was very popular in recent years.

Wearing the bracelet on my wrist, I closed my eyes and heard upbeat music playing in my ears. When I opened my eyes again, an operation screen appeared before my eyes.

"An ancient story is circulating in Kyoto..."

The exquisite visuals played out before her eyes, and Luo Qiushui's eyes lit up. This game is so generous; the graphics and special effects are fantastic!

After watching it once, she felt something was off. "This game came out a long time ago, why is a holographic version being released now?"

After the opening animation finishes, three powerful characters appear: Onmyoji.

"This is it. It's been running for many years, and it's become popular again in recent years, I think it's because of something..."

The word lingered on her lips, but she couldn't say it. She rested her chin on her hand, a hint of curiosity in her eyes.

She had heard of this holographic online game, but had never tried it.
