Chapter 210 The Silent City (Final Chapter)

Rumble...

The stone slab fell behind them, and as Qiu Shui was stunned, she heard a voice from behind her.

"Finally found you! Get out of here, hurry..."

Several gunshots rang out in the air, and some things fell behind her. Qiu Shui sat blankly on the ground, looking at the bloodstains on her arm.

There was no movement behind her. She looked up and saw the end of the city, where crimson sunset clouds billowed across the sky, igniting the entire world.

"Blackwater..."

...

...

A helicopter entered Tianxi, bringing life back to the place. Qiu Shui stood beside the stretcher, his face pale, staring down at the woman on the stretcher.

The beautiful woman's face was unusually pale, and blood was seeping from a black hole in her chest.

Qiu Shui looked at her. Beside her stood a man and a woman.

The woman stared intently at the stretcher, her lovely face expressionless. The man also looked down at the stretcher, his gaze indifferent, finally settling on Qiu Shui.

"It's all my fault. If I hadn't barged in, Blackwater wouldn't be dead..."

Qiu Shui stared at the white sheet on the stretcher, her face deathly pale. Her right hand was tightly gripping a gun, the bloodstains on it already dried.

Huang Mu sighed, walked to the stretcher, lifted the white sheet to take a look, and placed his finger on Black Pearl's face.

He looked at her, his gaze filled with lingering sadness and helplessness, his eyes deep with a deathly sorrow, until finally, only silence remained.

“It’s not your fault. She knew she was going to die before she ambushed us here,” Huang Mu said in a hoarse voice.

Qiu Shui's eyes reddened, her nose tingled, and tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably.

Huang Mu sighed, "Does she know that the person she saved is you?"

Qiu Shui remained silent for a few seconds, then shook her head violently. She didn't know... she had died before she turned away...

Huang Mu lowered his head, his eyes filled with gloom. He was wearing a white suit today, with a red flower pinned to his chest.

A flower was gently placed on Black Pearl's heart, and a red flower was placed over the bloody hole; these were the only vibrant colors on this woman's body.

No one knows what he was feeling when he received Luo Qiushui's call, leaving everyone else to insist on coming here.

Today is his wedding day, and also the day she parted from him.

Several policemen walked by, and he sighed deeply. His voice was faint and ethereal, like gauze drifting in the air.

"It's not safe here, you should go back. We should never see each other again."

Upon hearing this, Huang Mi looked up and stared blankly at Qiu Shui for a moment. Huang Mu didn't give her a chance to speak; he glanced at Black Pearl one last time and quickly led her away.

Qiu Shui watched them leave, then turned to look at Hei Shui's cold, lifeless body on the stretcher. Just a few days ago, Hei Shui had been talking to her and smiling at her...

As she looked on, tears welled up in her eyes, and she sat on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.

The housekeeper landed beside her to comfort her, while a grieving policeman came over to comfort her as well. Qiu Shui covered her face and wept bitterly.

Kuroshui, you're dead. What will happen to your shikigami? They're still waiting for you in Heian-kyo...

...

Sitting alone in the flying car, Qiu Shui declined the police officers' offers of help and looked at the completely silent city in front of her.

A few days later, this place will be burned down by the armed forces, and all the people who were here and those who died will turn to dust and disappear along with the city.

The butler opened the car door and brought in a rice ball and a bottle of fruit tea. Qiu Shui picked up the cold rice ball, and thinking of Heian-kyo, her eyes couldn't help but redden.

"If I ever encounter a black witch again, I will definitely eliminate her completely!" she said fiercely, taking a big bite of her rice ball.

The butler remained silent. He entered the operating system and piloted the flying car toward Banbu.

Qiu Shui leaned against the car window, looking outside, not wanting to think about anything. Her bracelet beeped as it received messages.

She's leaving for Luoyi tomorrow, but Blackwater is dead. How can she concentrate on the competition? And how can she tell Blackwater's shikigami that their father is dead...?

She wiped her face, then piloted the flying car towards Banbu, with her butler accompanying her.

...

...

Back in Banbu, after meeting up with Xu Yu and Yue Qunshu, Qiu Shui drove a flying car, taking them and another female student with him.

Chai Xi sat in Rong Ziran's car in the back. The others were not familiar with Qiu Shui, so they all sat in Rong Ziran's car.

Because Qiu Shui arrived at different times than them, Xu Yu looked at Rong Zhi Ran's helpless face behind her and still drove a flying car to balance the number of people in each car.

With a blank expression, Qiu Shui listened to her junior's timid explanation as she got off the bus. Her eyes were fixed ahead, seemingly unfocused.

Yue Qunshu looked at the female student behind him, then turned to look at her through the rearview mirror. After a moment of silence, he asked, "What's wrong with you today?"

Qiu Shui replied expressionlessly, "I'm fine."

Yue Qunshu lowered his hand from his chin and said hesitantly, "Your expression tells me you're lying. You can't go to Luo Yi like this."

"Yue Qunshu, your words are utterly absurd!" Qiu Shui started the flying car, her deep voice cold.

What happened to your hand?

Yue Qunshu's gaze fell on her hand. There were two red marks there, as if something had been pressing on it all along.

"Sit in your car and shut up."

Qiu Shui coldly withdrew her fingers.

After a few seconds of silence in the car, Yue Qunshu continued, "No matter what happened to you, it's too rude of you to talk to me like this."

Qiu Shui slammed the steering wheel shut, ignoring Yue Qunshu behind him.

"Autumn Water? Luo Autumn Water, Luo Autumn Water, Luo Autumn Water!"

Qiu Shui quickly stopped the car. The vehicle was undergoing exit inspection. She looked ahead and asked coldly, "Why do you keep bothering me?"

"I just want to ask you some questions."

"Shut up, be quiet."

Qiu Shui said indifferently.

"You're here again."

Yue Qunshu sighed.

What do you want to ask?

"Do you know what a 'witch' is? There's a type called 'black witches,' and they're living in very difficult circumstances right now, they need..."

"Alright, shut up!"

Qiu Shui suddenly turned the steering wheel around.

The car flew hundreds of meters in an instant. She looked ahead and said coldly:

“Those people are social parasites; only a fool would pity them. If I ever encounter them again, I will wipe them all out.”

Upon hearing these words, Yue Qunshu's eyes widened suddenly, and the last remaining concern in his eyes turned into a sense of loss after a struggle.

He didn't say another word to Qiu Shui during the rest of the journey.

A few hours later, a towering, majestic city appeared on the horizon; the technological metropolis of Loy was right before our eyes.

"Please undergo entry inspection..."

The flying car stopped in the aerial tunnel, and Qiu Shui passed through the immigration checkpoint and entered Luoyi City directly.

After flying through the air for a while, the flying car landed in front of the Machinery Museum. Qiu Shui stopped the car, and Yue Qunshu opened the door and walked out silently.
