"Because an annoying person has been bothering us, I need to ensure your safety."
Quan gave a helpless smile.
Let's leave tonight.
After finishing her sentence, the Snow Maiden picked up the flint and steel again and played with it, lighting it and extinguishing it again and again, enjoying herself immensely.
"Yes, we should leave late at night when everyone is quiet." Quan put down his bag, feeling incredibly stupid.
"If I don't go downstairs, will he still come up to find me? It'll be fine by evening."
The old monk settled down at the table and drank tea.
As night fell, the sky grew dark, and the footsteps coming and going in the inn faded away. Quan packed his things and ran out from behind the kitchen with Xiaoxue Nu.
"Phew...finally we're gone."
Quan smiled and walked under the night sky with a lamp in her hand. Little Snow Maiden broke free from her arms and floated in the air, following her.
"Yes, they left."
An echo appeared in the darkness, and the smile on Quan's face froze at the corners of his mouth.
She took a deep breath, turned around, and saw a handsome man dressed in dark hunting clothes leaning against the kitchen door, watching her.
"Hello, it's nice to see you again."
Quan gritted his teeth and said firmly.
"Yes, we're so destined to meet, so let's go together."
The man chuckled indifferently, turned around, and followed her. Ignoring him, Quan quickened her pace, the man following her with a nonchalant air.
After walking for about fifteen minutes, they came to a bamboo grove. Quan couldn't help but stop and ask, "How long are you going to follow us?"
"Huh? Aren't we going back to the capital together? Of course, the point of reference is when we get back to the capital."
The man gave a sly smile.
