Secret Distress

Secret Distress

An Luoyi woke up from his memories. The person in front of him slowly took off the crown, revealing a pair of stunningly beautiful eyes that were still as captivating as ever.

An Luoyi thought that Xianyoulin had fewer green pheasants than before, and its aura was even more extraordinary.

"It's you."

"Yes, it's me."

The two looked at each other, as silent as when they parted that year.

Xian Youlin said devoutly, "You said we would meet at the summit. Now that I am the King of the Netherworld, I finally have the ability to stand shoulder to shoulder with you."

An Luoyi, who was always serious, burst out laughing at this moment, "You still remember such childish words."

She has been in a high position since she was a child and is well aware of the responsibilities on her shoulders, so she has always been strict with herself and dared not relax at all. Living in the thatched cottage with Xian Youlin is indeed what she wants, but she has to suppress it in her heart, just because she is the "Saint" of the Nine Heavens.

Xianyou Linchi looked at her face and said, "I remember, I always remember, we are still friends, right?"

He knew, he always knew what she was thinking. The two of them were bound by many things and could not pursue what they wanted or get what they thought. He always knew it, so it was good this way.

An Luoyi stopped smiling and looked at Xian Youlin seriously, "Well, we have always been friends."

After what happened just now, the two of them became familiar with each other when they returned to the palace.

Xian Youlin asked, "Why are you here looking for the owner of the jade talisman this time?"

An Luoyi felt as if his throat was being strangled and he could not speak.

"Can't you tell me? It doesn't matter. Just tell me when you can. I will urge the master to come back as soon as possible. I hope it can be helpful to you." Xian Youlin was very understanding.

"Thank you." An Luoyi's heart relaxed.

Xian Youlin still looked like a handsome gentleman: "There is no need to thank each other."

Mu Qianyu would come to Chaoyun Palace every day. She taught Yunti the basic mental methods over and over again, but the immortal power in Yunti's body was like flowers in a mirror. It would dissipate immediately after it was finally condensed. This left both of them puzzled.

Yunti asked bluntly, "Was I like this before?"

Mu Qianyu shook her head. "You are a natural talent. No matter what you practice, you are far ahead of your peers." It is impossible for you to be like now, unable to gather even a trace of immortal power, unless...

"Then why is this happening? Did I really encounter some misfortune when I came to the mortal world this time?" Yunti meditated.

Mu Qianyu comforted her: "I'll think of a way. If you can recover your memory and remember what happened, maybe everything can be solved."

Yunti nodded blankly.

Yunti hid in the house for several days. One day, she heard that A'li helped Da Siming to get something from the Immortal Book Pavilion.

"Ari, where is the Immortal Book Pavilion?" Yunti asked.

Ah Li smiled and replied, "To answer your question, Your Highness, the Immortal Book Pavilion in the Immortal Mansion is the largest library in the entire Nine Heavens Upper Realm. Whether it's any kind of immortal technique or historical materials, you can find them there."

"I see." Yunti thought thoughtfully.

The Immortal Palace was so huge that it took a long time to reach the Immortal Book Pavilion using the cloud ladder without any magic. Along the way, she always felt as if someone was following her, but when she looked back, there was nothing.

The Xianshu Pavilion was indeed as big as A-li said. Several white attics were stacked on top of each other. The attics were narrow in front and back and wide in left and right, making it impossible to see the end.

The servant guarding the pavilion bowed respectfully upon seeing Yunti. "Your Highness, are you here to retrieve that high-level magic book you brought back last time?"

"No, do you know where the books on building the foundation of immortal power are?" Yunti said.

The servant was stunned for a moment, then pointed the way to the ladder: "Saint, please follow me."

The servant brought Yunti here and then left. There was a whole shelf of classics here. Yunti flipped through a few books at random but couldn't find what she wanted.

Suddenly, the ladder was hit by something and she turned around abruptly.

A man holding a folding fan stood behind Yunti. She knew him; it was Fang Jinghe.

"Are you following me?" Yunti looked at him warily.

Fang Jinghe waved his folding fan, looking very elegant and graceful. "How can you say I was following you? I was just passing by."

"Is there anything I can do for you, Immortal Lord Fang?" Yunti said coldly.

Fang Jinghe's pupils widened: "What the hell."

Yunti frowned: "What did you say?"

Fang Jinghe exclaimed in amazement: "You always call me by my name. When did you become so polite?"

Yunti was a little frightened and smiled awkwardly.

Fang Jinghe was even more shocked. "You're actually still smiling! I've known you for so many years, and you always have a sour face. But your smile gives me goosebumps. There's something weird about you!"

Yunti felt that this man was being unreasonable. If he continued like this, his amnesia would surely be exposed. She simply turned around and continued looking for a book, ignoring him.

Fang Jinghe saw Yunti ignore him and asked, "What are you looking for?"

"It has nothing to do with you." Yunti didn't want to say more to him.

Fang Jinghe waved his folding fan and said quietly, "The library is so big. If you keep looking like this, you won't find it tomorrow."

Yunti stopped moving and said angrily, "So, what do you say?"

"Let me help you find it." Fang Jinghe suddenly had an idea.

Yunti thought for a moment and said, "Okay, then you go find it. I need a book that explains how to build a foundation."

Fang Jinghe didn't understand why she was looking for this, but it didn't affect his plan.

"Come with me." Fang Jinghe said.

Yunti followed him to a solid wooden door. Vines were entwined on the door, and several butterflies were lying on the vines. The door was surrounded by clouds and mist, which looked dangerous and charming.

"Why did you bring me here?" Yunti said. There didn't look like there were any books in this place. This guy must be kidding her.

Fang Jinghe stretched out his arms, and a book flew into his hands. He handed it to Yunti and said, "Here you go."

Yunti took it slowly with half belief and half doubt.

Just as she reached out to take the book, a sudden force pushed her down, and she hit the green gate and was sucked in almost instantly.

Fang Jinghe said gloatingly: "An Luoyi, be careful!"

There was originally a barrier around this place, so ordinary people couldn't get in and the things inside couldn't get out. However, Fang Jinghe used some kind of magic to make the ladder fall in.

The suction was so strong that the ladder was thrown to the ground. The bushes in the secret realm could even be called a beautiful sight.

Yunti stood up and looked for a way out. She had no magic skills and had to be very careful.

"Who dares to trespass into this secret realm!" A gigantic beast descended from the sky.

Yunti raised his arms to block the surging air currents. The beast before him was enormous, with horns like a deer, a body like a lion, hooves like an ox, and a long, fluffy tail. It had to be a Qilin! What was this secret realm that required a Qilin, another mythical beast, to guard it?

The dark blue Qilin's eyes were majestic, and the way he stared at the ladder made her tremble secretly.

"Anyone who trespasses into the forbidden area will be killed!" the black and blue Qilin roared.

The ladder couldn't withstand its pressure and retreated again and again, finally falling to the ground.

"Little kid, you don't have a trace of immortal power. Are all the people in the Nine Heavens Upper Realm like this now?" Qilin released his pressure.

Yunti was suffocated by the pressure and she couldn't utter a word. She just felt like she was about to die.

This feeling made her feel both frightened and familiar, as if she had experienced it not long ago.

The air was getting thinner and thinner, and Yunti felt like her throat was being strangled. She tried desperately to breathe, but could not feel any breath of life...

Yunti remembered that she was like this a month ago, on the battlefield... in that man's hands, without any ability to resist at all... Yunti thought, she didn't die on the battlefield, nor in the capital, so was she going to die in this unknown place?

Fang Jinghe was still pacing outside the door. "Strange, I wonder if An Luoyi really got into trouble."

He heard that there was a divine beast with extremely high cultivation here, so he wanted to play a trick on An Luoyi. The barrier of the gate was set up by the previous immortal master and several immortal kings with powerful magic, and his father happened to be one of them, so he was able to secretly open the gap. But why hasn't anyone come out after so long?

"Forget it, never mind." Fang Jinghe gave up the struggle in his heart and plunged into the secret realm.

Suddenly, a huge psionic butterfly flew out from the bushes in the secret realm. It blocked the ladder and used its thin wings to block all pressure.

The ladder was no longer restraining her and she took a deep breath. She looked in a trance at Psylocke who was using her thin wings to fend off the danger.

"Falling Nightmare Butterfly! Why did you come out? Go back quickly!" The divine beast Qilin was a little panicked by this sudden accident.

Qilin stopped exerting pressure, and Psylocke seized the opportunity to get into Yunti's body.
