Chapter 47 Tiger Tribe, Good People

Ling Yun felt someone pulling at his sleeve. He looked down and saw Bu'er trembling. "You, you want potatoes, don't you? If... if you are willing to take in the people of our tribe to sleep in your cave for two nights... I can make it happen and give you some potatoes for free... Please, please..."

The rat orcs were very timid, and Buer's companions all looked at Ling Yun with their round black eyes.

Ling Yun glanced at the males in other tribes. No one had any objections. After all, they already knew how delicious potatoes were in the tribe. It was just that the potatoes in their tribe were too small. Almost all the potatoes in the tribe had been dug up, and there were not enough for everyone to eat for a few meals.

Ling Yun agreed: "Okay, but you can't enter our cave. You can live at the entrance."

"Okay, okay, okay, I can live at the entrance of the cave!"

Hearing Ling Yun's agreement, the entire Bu'er tribe breathed a sigh of relief.

As the sky gradually darkened, the tribes in the trading center returned to their caves.

The rat orcs moved the potatoes they brought and followed Ling Yun to the cave where the tiger tribe was stationed.

"We'll trade the remaining half of the potatoes for animal skins. Here are fifty animal skins. Are they enough?"

Ling Yun threw the bundled animal skins in front of Bu'er, and with a "bang", a pile of mud splashed up.

Bu Er immediately went forward to check: "Wow, these animal hides are really thick."

If a female is divided into two or three pieces, she can get through the winter.

The storable meat brought by the Tiger Tribe became very popular after everyone tasted it. After all, the difficulty faced by all tribes in the cold season is food.

Ling Yun exchanged the two bags of animal meat he brought with him for these animal skins. Their tribe was not short of them, so he simply gave them all to Bu'er. The rat tribe was weak, and it must be difficult for them to survive.

"If possible, all the potatoes your tribe brings will belong to us." Ling Yun said.

"No problem," Bu'er was very satisfied with the amount of animal skins he had exchanged. "Since we have traded all the potatoes, we will set off back to the tribe at dawn tomorrow."

Ling Yun nodded.

The Tiger Tribe had also exchanged all their jerky and pickled meats, and they were planning to leave tomorrow.

"Which direction is your tribe?"

"To the north."

"Our directions should be similar. If you can keep up with our speed, we can walk together for a while." Ling Yun said.

"Really?" Bu'er looked at Ling Yun with surprise. "I've heard that the tiger orcs are very loyal. What's your name? Let's be friends. Next year, when we dig up potatoes, we can send them directly to your tribe."

"My name is Ling Yun." Ling Yun patted Bu'er's thin shoulder.

The rat orcs slept outside their cave, Lin Qiu slept in the innermost part of the cave, and Ling Yun and Song Mu stayed by her side.

The two chatted at night and talked about the wandering orcs.

"Is that wandering orc really coming for Xiao Qiu?" Song Mu felt a little scared when he thought about it now. He actually took Lin Qiu walking in the deep forest alone during the day today.

Ling Yun shook his head: "We have carefully scouted the entire route. If someone was following us, we would not have missed it."

"He appeared near the trading center. It's very likely that he needs something from the trading center."

Lin Qiu suddenly woke up, sat up and joined the conversation.

She felt that wandering orcs lived alone, hibernated during the cold season, and might have some inconveniences in their lives.

"Did we wake you, Xiao Qiu?"

Seeing that Lin Qiu woke up, Ling Yun immediately went over.

Lin Qiu shook his head: "I couldn't sleep well here to begin with. I woke up when I heard you guys talking."

"What Xiao Qiu said is very likely. However, what exactly does that wandering orc want by taking such a big risk to come to where we gather?"

Song Mu actually didn't quite understand. For males like them, as long as they had food and shelter, they could survive. What was so important that made the wandering orcs take the risk to come here?

Ling Yun glanced at the pair of animal leather boots that Lin Qiu had just bought today.

He asked, "Did he change it for a female?"

Lin Qiu suddenly realized, "The cold season is coming soon. Wandering orcs can hibernate, but females can't. He came to prepare things for his females for the cold season."

He was wandering around and was accidentally met by the fox orc, and a fight broke out between them.

The other males heard their discussion and thought it made sense, so they joined in the conversation and said, "If that's the case, then we don't have to worry. We'll return as soon as possible tomorrow. As long as they're not targeting us, that's fine."

Everyone was really worried that this wandering orc was here to steal females.

Even though Lin Qiu is not their female, it is the duty of every male to protect the female from being captured by stray orcs.

Song Mu said, "We've changed a lot of things for females this time, so we'd better be careful."

"Um."

"But we are many in number. If there are females in the cave, he probably won't risk ambushing our group."

Ling Yun thought about it and said, "Before we leave tomorrow, tell the others that if they encounter stray orcs, try not to get into a fight and just give them the things."

"You are always so kind." The males in the tribe teased.

Ling Yun smiled at him and said nothing more.

The next day, the Tiger Tribe and the Rat Tribe set out on their return journey together.

Because of the news of the stray orcs, everyone walked with extra caution. The rat orcs turned into a group of rats as long as arms, walking at the front of the team. They were small in size but ran fast.

This was the first time Lin Qiu saw the beast form of a rat orc. The rats she had seen in Red Stone Village before were not as big as the heads of this rat orc.

Lin Qiu sat on Ling Yun's back and walked in the middle of the team, the other males walked around, and Song Mu walked at the end of the team.

“Stop, stop!”

Bu'er, who was leading the group, suddenly spoke up and everyone stopped.

Although the rat tribe is timid, they are the most sensitive to the outside world.

Bu'er's beard trembled from the roots: "Someone is following us nearby!"

"Be careful! Everyone, be careful!"

Lin Qiu felt the tenseness of Ling Yun's muscles beneath him.

She thought of the stray snake beast that the rabbit tribe depended on. Ling Yun had torn it to pieces with almost no effort. Now not only was Song Mu here, but there were also so many male tiger tribe members here. Lin Qiu told herself that there was no need to be afraid.

Under everyone's vigilance, Song Mu suddenly rushed out.

Lin Qiu nervously clutched Ling Yun's fur and looked worriedly in the direction where Song Mu was going.

Song Mu swung a thick tail covered with scales and horns in the direction he rushed over, and then a giant crocodile was forced to reveal its true form by Song Mu.

Lin Qiu looked at the sharp teeth of the giant crocodile and couldn't help but think of the torn wound on the abdomen of the dead fox beast.
