Chapter 80 Uneasy

Ling Yun looked coldly at Ji Nan outside the door through the fence and saw that he was trying to open the door to come in.

"Let go of my hand!"

Ji Nan knew that the tiger orcs attached great importance to territorial awareness. When he saw Ling Yun getting angry, he felt a sense of fear from the bottom of his heart.

He remembered that last time in the tribe, Ling Yun killed several of his tribesmen in a short period of time, and even he almost died at the hands of his minions.

"I'm here to see Xiaoqiu, please let me in." Ji Nan calmed himself down.

The male rabbits are slender in build, and Ji Nan looked very thin standing in the wind wrapped in thick animal skins.

Ling Yun curled the corners of his lips coldly. If a female saw him looking so weak, she would really feel distressed.

"Xiao Qiu told me to tell you to stay away from our home. She hopes you'll never appear in front of her again," Ling Yun walked forward and grabbed Ji Nan's jaw, as if he could easily crush his head in the next second. "Xiao Qiu also said that she doesn't care about your life. Even if I kill you here, she won't even frown."

Ji Nan felt the strength in Ling Yun's hand. At such a close distance, he could clearly see that the murderous intent in Ling Yun's eyes was not fake.

"Let me go," Ji Nan grabbed Ling Yun's hand, "Are you going to kill people in your tribe?"

"Ling Yun, calm down."

Song Mu came back dragging a bundle of bamboo poles. He pulled Ji Nan away from Ling Yun and frowned at him. "I don't know why you're at our door, but I'm warning you, my brother Ling Yun is a lunatic. He might break your neck in the next second."

Ling Yun: “…”

Ji Nan stumbled back two steps before stopping. He looked deeply affectionate: "I must see Xiao Qiu today. Even if I die here, I won't leave!"

Song Mu grabbed Ji Nan's collar and punched him in the jaw.

Ji Nan tried to struggle away, but Song Mu raised his leg and rammed his knee into his abdomen, throwing him to the ground. He then punched him several times. "I'm telling you, this won't work on us, and it's even less effective on Xiao Qiu."

He grabbed Ji Nan's collar and lifted his upper body up, then pulled his hair to straighten his head so he could look him in the eye. "When we asked Xiao Qiu to leave with you, how did you treat her?"

"That's just, my father..." Blood was oozing from the corner of Ji Nan's mouth, and he bit out an excuse through his teeth.

Song Mu, however, punched him in the other cheek again: "A male who can't even protect a female has no point in living!"

Song Mu's punches hit the flesh, which was not a killing move he sought when hunting, nor was it like his usual fights with other males in the tribe where the winner was decided in a decisive manner.

Every punch he threw was a painful torture for Ji Nan.

Ji Nan didn't know that Song Mu was even crazier. He was lying in the snow, watching his own blood stain the entire field. His vision was blurred by the blood.

"I don't care what your purpose is in coming here. If you dare to get close to Xiaoqiu and harm her, I will make sure you live a life worse than death!"

Song Mu pinched Ji Nan's neck and whispered a warning.

"roll!"

The moment he let go, Ji Nan turned into a white-furred rabbit. His fur was stained with blood, and a trail of red bloodstains followed his escape.

Ling Yun watched Song Mu stand up and pick up the bundle of bamboo again, and sneered disdainfully: "Are you saying I'm crazy?"

Song Mu's hands were still stained with Ji Nan's vomited blood. He glanced at Ling Yun and said, "You talk too much. Open the door."

Ling Yun opened the door to the yard, waited for Song Mu to come in dragging a bundle of bamboo, and then pushed the door closed.

Song Mu washed his hands. Ling Yun entered the house first and said to Lin Qiu, "We've already chased him away. Don't worry, he won't dare come over again for a while."

"Did you fight?"

Lin Qiu grabbed Ling Yun's hand and observed his wound.

Ling Yun shook his head: "I didn't." He paused again: "It was Song Mu who beat me. He also said I was crazy."

When Song Mu brought in a bamboo, he heard Ling Yun complaining to Lin Qiu.

"That's better than you talking nonsense to him."

Song Mu glanced at Ling Yun and softened his expression towards Lin Qiu: "Let's not talk about his affairs. Xiao Qiu, I brought the bamboo back. You tell me what to do."

"Can't you let Xiaoqiu rest for a while? She just worked so hard weaving with me for a long time. Please take this dirty thing out of my room."

Ling Yun waved his hand, and Song Mu took a half step back with the bamboo pole.

Lin Qiu came over and said, "Cut the bamboo into small pieces of this length and width, and slice them thinly for later use. The more the better, of course, but we won't need too much right now, so don't work too hard."

"It's the winter season and there's nothing else to do, so I'll try to do as much as possible."

Song Mu knew what to do, so he dragged the bamboo pole to the living room, took out a bone knife, and chopped the bamboo pole in his hand as if it were Ji Nan.

Lin Qiu heard crackling sounds outside and lifted the curtain to see what was going on, but Ling Yun pulled it down: "Lie down for a while. It's cold outside. I'll make you something to eat."

Ling Yun kissed Lin Qiu and wrapped her up with animal skin.

"I can't sleep now."

"Don't think too much, Xiaoqiu." Ling Yun rubbed Lin Qiu's head, then got on the kang and held Lin Qiu in his arms.

"Ling Yun, I..." Lin Qiu has actually never forgotten the dark experience she had in the Rabbit Tribe, but now she lives a stable life and thought that those memories can be slowly erased.

"Don't be afraid, as long as I'm here, I won't let you get hurt. Xiaoqiu, I will never leave you."

Ling Yun hugged Lin Qiu tightly in his arms and coaxed her in a low voice.

Lin Qiu's arms around his waist gradually tightened, and she pressed her face against his chest: "Ling Yun, stay by my side forever."

"I will."

"Ling Yun..."

"Xiao Qiu." Ling Yun was tidying up Lin Qiu's hair. His fingertips were soft and gentle, which made Lin Qiu feel very comfortable. Lin Qiu gradually calmed down.

After a while, Lin Qiu's stomach growled. Ling Yun smiled and kissed Lin Qiu's forehead: "I'll go make you something to eat."

"I'd better go talk to Song Mu." Lin Qiu's uneasiness was written on his face. Ling Yun felt a little distressed but there was nothing he could do.

"Okay, put on more clothes."

Ling Yun helped Lin Qiu put on her clothes and left the room with her.

Song Mu raised his eyes and said, "Xiao Qiu, please stay away and go back to your room. It will hurt if the bamboo chips break."

Lin Qiu said: "Okay, I'll watch you here."

She sat far away at the door of the room, holding her chin and watching Song Mu work. Song Mu had to be careful when repairing the bamboo slips.

Song Mu knew that Lin Qiu was disturbed by Ji Nan's appearance, and for a moment he felt that he had not hit Ji Nan enough.
