Chapter 280 Hairpin in Disarray
The carriage door was kicked shut with a bang, silencing all sound.
Jiang Zhi could only see Lu Yuan's dark pupils, like a beast enraged to the extreme, breathing heavily and suppressing its anger in the darkness.
The air in her chest was ruthlessly plundered, leaving her lips numb, itchy, and even slightly painful.
"Ugh... Lu..." Just as she managed to get a break, the faint sob that had just escaped was forcefully cut off by him.
The way they were acting was as if they wanted to devour her alive; their movements were fierce and carried a punitive connotation.
Jiang Zhi's hands were pinned above her head, and her waist was forced to press even closer to him.
But he was cold and hard, like a jade statue without any emotion or warmth.
Tears welled up in Jiang Zhi's eyes and rolled down her cheeks tremblingly.
Damn it, how can this be?
Lu Yuan tasted the salty moisture on his lips and stopped what he was doing. His sinister eyes gleamed coldly in the carriage.
"Let me go, I want to get off the bus." Jiang Zhi's hands were still restrained, her lips were still wet, and her chest heaved as she glared at him.
Lu Yuan ground his back teeth, "Are you really that reluctant to part with Shen Ci'an?"
His voice was as hoarse as sandpaper, and his gaze was fierce and cold, like a hawk eyeing an unsuspecting rabbit.
"Lu Yuan, I told you he's my husband. We can do whatever we want with each other. Why are you so angry?" Jiang Zhi was also provoked by him.
However, this time Lu Yuan did not indulge her or coax her as he had before.
Instead, he held her waist tightly, his hands, with prominent veins on the back, deeply embedded in the soft flesh of her waist.
Under Jiang Zhi's astonished gaze, he lowered his head again and kissed her fiercely.
No matter how much Jiang Zhi struggled, it was no use. Furious, she simply bit his lip.
Lu Yuan paid no heed, and the taste of blood spread in their mouths.
"Jiang Zhi, are you really trying to drive me crazy?" He pressed his tongue against his palate, his face pale.
Even though you know he's angry, why don't you say something nice, or even just lie to him?
“I’ll cook longevity noodles for him, give him a birthday gift, and take him to see the flowers,” Lu Yuan said, his teeth grinding together. “No one has ever celebrated my birthday before. Why don’t you remember mine?”
"You're not my husband..." Jiang Zhi muttered softly.
Lu Yuan's vision blurred.
"You asked for this." He laughed in anger and sealed her lips with his again.
Unlike before when it plundered so recklessly, it slowly and deliberately lingered on her, leaving Jiang Zhi powerless to resist. Her body grew weaker and weaker, and her head was spinning.
Then she felt a lightness in her body as she was lifted and sat on Lu Yuan's lap.
She met Lu Yuan's eyes in the darkness, and felt a sudden, inexplicable fear. "You, you wouldn't be planning to... in the carriage..."
Lu Yuan's smile carried a hint of cruelty. "I told you, you asked for this."
The astonished resistance and sobs were completely swallowed up.
The dignified black carriage did not travel smoothly on the rugged mountain road, occasionally bumping over gravel and making a rumbling sound.
There weren't many pedestrians on the road, and even those who were there would instinctively avoid the area when they saw the sign for the Northern Garrison Command in the distance.
No one knows what is happening inside the carriage.
"Open your mouth," Jiang Zhi's sweaty black hair clung to her cheeks as Lu Yuan's rough, deep voice rang in her ears, "Call me husband."
Jiang Zhi stammered, unable to utter a complete sentence, but still managed to call out tremblingly under his wolfish gaze, "My...my husband."
Lu Yuan froze instantly, gasping for breath.
Originally, he was just annoyed by Jiang Zhi's constant use of the term "husband" to refer to Shen Ci'an, so he coaxed her into calling him that.
Unexpectedly, when that name came out of her mouth, a tingling sensation shot from his tailbone straight to the top of his head, so comfortable that he began to tremble from the depths of his soul.
That's how I almost died.
Jiang Zhi frowned slightly as she looked at him. "What's wrong?"
Why is it so frustrating to be stuck in this limbo?
Lu Yuan held her tightly, taking deep breaths to ease the tightness in his chest, and couldn't help but bite her earlobe, "Say it again."
"Husband... Husband." Jiang Zhi's voice trembled.
Lu Yuan felt as if he had been washed away by a heavy rain, leaving only a sense of comfort. "Call me again."
"My lord."
Jiang Zhi glared at him with red eyes, "Are you ever going to stop?"
"My wife is so good." He lowered his head and kissed her again.
...
...
Jiang Zhi couldn't remember how many times he coaxed her into calling him "husband" along the way; she only knew that when she finally got off the carriage, her limbs were weak.
"How useless you are." Lu Yuan wrapped her from head to toe in his black cloak, not a single hair of hers was visible.
Jiang Zhi felt herself being carried off the carriage by him, and there was no sound around her.
When their feet touched the ground and they could finally see, they found themselves in a private room of the Northern Garrison Command.
Lu Yuan sat in his official chair, a smile on his lips, watching her with a relaxed demeanor.
Jiang Zhi felt uneasy under his gaze. "You've messed up my clothes. How am I supposed to go out and face people later?"
It's so unfair! They were clearly both infatuated with each other in the carriage.
But Lu Yuan was dressed neatly, and apart from some dark wrinkles around his waist and abdomen, it was impossible to tell what he had done.
She herself was disheveled and her hair was in disarray, a complete mess.
“It’s alright, I’ll send someone to get it,” Lu Yuan said, pulling her hand and making her sit on his lap. “Take a look at this first.”
Jiang Zhi's gaze fell on Lu Yuan's desk.
There are two portraits.
“This was drawn by my subordinate based on Jiang Xue’s memory,” Lu Yuan said, tapping on another sheet with his knuckles. “This is the second sheet he drew based on the natural aging process of women.”
Jiang Zhi's attention was completely drawn, and she couldn't help but marvel, "What amazing skills!"
The portrait depicts a woman nearing forty, whose youthful beauty is still faintly discernible despite her advanced age.
"So coming down the mountain with me wasn't a bad deal, was it?" Lu Yuan smoothed her slightly disheveled hair. "Being with Shen Ci'an, you managed to get something like this?"
Jiang Zhi secretly rubbed her lower back.
Isn't it a loss?
She's really losing out big time.
Just then, someone knocked on the door. Lu Yuan went to fetch Jiang Zhi's clothes and came in, looking at her meaningfully, "Let your husband help you change?"
Jiang Zhi took it from him, saying, "No need, I can do it myself."
She knew he hadn't had his fill of pleasure in the carriage, and only released her out of pity when they were almost at their destination.
She doesn't want to go through that again.
Jiang Zhi took the clothes to the inner room, changed them properly, and then came out.
Lu Yuan had already instructed Ye Qi to take down the portrait and send people to search for it secretly, telling him to remember not to alert the enemy and to report immediately if anything was found.
“If Hongxuan is still in the capital, it’s only a matter of time before we find her.” Lu Yuan naturally took a wooden comb, loosened her slightly messy hair, and then tied it up again.
