Chapter 351 I've Found You

Chapter 351 I've Found You

Yan Wenhong grinned menacingly, threw her onto the pile of straw, and leaned over her.

“This place is deserted and we have plenty of time,” a mad glint in his eyes. “After I’ve had my fill of you, I’ll slash your face, cut off your hands and feet, and turn you into a human pig to send back—I want to see if those people will still value you or stand up for you.”

Jiang Zhi was completely powerless to resist with her hands and feet bound. Although Yan Wenhong was thin, he was a normal adult male, and his weight made it hard for Jiang Zhi to breathe.

He clearly intended to make Jiang Zhi suffer, and seeing her shrink back, he slapped her across the face again.

"If you dare to move again, I'll chop off your hands and feet first!"

Jiang Zhi was so dizzy from the beating that her ears were ringing and she couldn't hear what Yan Wenhong was saying at all.

She bit her lip, trying to mentally prepare herself.

It's okay, just think of it as being bitten by a dog.

But her body still trembled uncontrollably.

She could feel Yan Wenhong pinching her chin and forcing her mouth open.

She refused to give in obediently and tilted her head to bite his tiger's mouth hard.

"You bitch!" Yan Wenhong tried to pull his hand away, but Jiang Zhi gritted her teeth and bit off a piece of skin from his hand, leaving it bleeding profusely.

Enraged, Yan Wenhong showed no mercy, grabbing her neck with his uninjured hand and gradually increasing the pressure.

Jiang Zhi felt short of breath and tried to pry his hand away, but it was all in vain.

Soon her struggles became lighter and lighter, her neck tilted to the side, and her hands fell limply to her sides.

Yan Wenhong regained his senses, frowned, and threw her onto the haystack to check her breathing, only to find that she had already stopped breathing.

"Dead?" Yan Wenhong was stunned, and felt a little sorry for him.

But he immediately gave a cold laugh and reached out to lift her skirt.

"It's better to be dead. Although it's not as enjoyable as being alive, at least I can do whatever I want with him."

He found Jiang Zhi's bound legs in the way, so he used a dagger to cut the hemp ropes on her legs, got up to untie his belt, and groped around below his abdomen.

Then he leaned forward again.

Jiang Zhi suppressed her nausea and, before Yan Wenhong could react, used all her strength to thrust her knee upwards with tremendous force.

"Ah—" A scream rang out.

Yan Wenhong had no idea that she was faking her death.

Jiang Zhi went all out this time.

Yan Wenhong was in so much pain from her knee hitting his groin that his face contorted, and he rolled on the ground clutching his lower body.

Jiang Zhi didn't dare to delay. She picked up a sharp stone from the ground and ran out of the thatched hut.

Yan Wenhong, enduring the pain, was about to chase after him when he tripped over his half-pulled pants and fell to the ground with another scream.

The area outside the thatched hut was deserted and uninhabited, and it was nighttime, with no light source other than the moon hanging high overhead.

Jiang Zhi ran a few steps before realizing that she was probably halfway up the mountain, surrounded by dense forest, so quiet that only her disordered breathing and footsteps could be heard.

A wave of despair washed over her.

With no one around and no direction, she had no idea who to ask for help.

Yan Wenhong had already pulled up his pants and was chasing after them. "Fine, go ahead and run. I'd like to see where you can run to?"

His intense pain subsided slightly, but his anger intensified.

I've been tricked by this bitch time and time again. When I finally catch her this time, I'll definitely pull out her tongue and gouge out her eyes!

Ignoring Yan Wenhong behind her, Jiang Zhi ran while using the stone she had just found to slowly cut the rope binding her hands.

Her hands were freed, but the effects of the drug had not completely worn off.

Fortunately, Yan Wenhong's limp meant he wasn't very fast.

She knew the gap between herself and Yan Wenhong, and that it was only a matter of time before he caught up.

She ran blindly through the dense forest, unable to see the path clearly. Her face and arms were covered in countless scratches from tree branches, and she could only push herself forward with all her might.

Yan Wenhong's voice grew closer and closer, as if it were right next to him.

Just then, Jiang Zhi stopped in her tracks.

Before her lay a sheer cliff.

The turbulent waterfall cascades down from a cliff tens of meters high, the white ribbon of water crashing into the deep pool at the bottom of the cliff with a thunderous roar.

"Hehe, let's see where you can run now?" Yan Wenhong caught up, the dagger in his hand gleaming coldly in the moonlight.

"I'll gouge out your eyes first, then let's see what else you can do!" He stepped forward, grabbed Jiang Zhi, and raised his arm to stab her panicked pupils.

Jiang Zhi struggled to dodge and kicked his limping leg. Yan Wenhong screamed again, but instead gripped her even tighter and raised his knife to stab her again.

While dodging, Jiang Zhi slipped and fell to the ground, and Yan Wenhong's dagger pierced her thigh.

Jiang Zhi's face turned pale with pain, and she let out a muffled groan. Blood quickly soaked through her dress.

Seeing Yan Wenhong aiming his sword at her eyes again, Jiang Zhi had nowhere to dodge and could only grab his hand and roll to the side.

With a soft "plop," the two of them tumbled down the waterfall.

Jiang Zhi flailed her arms, grabbing at nothing. Yan Wenhong, his face filled with panic, still gripped her shoulder tightly with one hand like a sharp claw, determined to take her down with him.

"Zhizhi!!" In the instant her body lost its weight and plummeted, Jiang Zhi heard a familiar scream.

A figure in black rode on horseback, cutting through the forest with the wind.

The moment he saw Jiang Zhi, he leaped off the horse, using the moss on the cliff edge for leverage, and flew to her side.

As he held her waist with his long arms like iron clamps, he kicked Yan Wenhong, who was holding her tightly, away.

"Zhizhi, I've found you. Don't be afraid," Xie Qi whispered in her ear, his jawline taut and sharp.

Jiang Zhi was nestled within his broad chest, the sound of his vigorous heartbeat filling her ears.

The panic from just now seemed very distant. Jiang Zhi reached out and wrapped her arms around his waist, her eyes even felt a little hot, and her mood strangely calmed down at the same time.

The sounds of wind and water filled their ears as they fell, embracing each other.

With a loud "bang," the feeling of weightlessness was completely overwhelmed by the icy pool water. Although Xie Qi rolled over and shielded her against his chest, Jiang Zhi's vision went black, and the violent impact almost made her faint again.

The hands around her waist were hot and strong, preventing her from being swept away by the current.

The air in her chest was getting thinner and thinner. Xie Qi noticed her discomfort from underwater and pressed his thin lips to her to give her a breath of fresh air. He then kicked off the bottom of the pool with his toes and broke through the water with Jiang Zhi.

"Zhizhi, how are you?" Xie Qi carried her ashore and finally saw her clearly.

Her cheeks were swollen and red, with tiny cuts oozing blood. Her soaked black hair clung messily to her face, and the bruises on her neck contrasted sharply with the surrounding fair skin.

Xie Qi felt an overwhelming pang of heartache.

He had no idea how much humiliation she had suffered at Yan Wenhong's hands, and he didn't dare to ask.

He chased after Shen Fu, encountering several interceptions along the way. If it weren't for his years of military campaigns and his expertise in tracking, he probably would have lost track of him long ago.

Jiang Zhi was unable to speak, only breathing heavily, and her whole body was swaying precariously.

At that moment, with a "splash," Yan Wenhong climbed out of the pool.

He wasn't much better off; his lips were pale and his face was ugly, like a water ghost that had crawled out of the water.

Xie Qi felt a surge of anger, so he first had Jiang Zhi sit down by a rock, then drew his sword and walked towards her.
