Chapter 369 Extra: Xie Qi (2)

Chapter 369 Extra: Xie Qi (2)

The celebratory banquet was in full swing inside the general's mansion.

The matchmaker breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the groom had finally returned with the bride at the appointed time and had stopped acting crazy.

Thankfully, we didn't miss the auspicious time.

An incense table was set up in the main hall, where the tablets of Heaven, Earth, Ruler, Parents, and Teacher were enshrined. Marquis Wuyi and his wife sat at the head of the table, looking down at Xie Qi, who had an arrogant expression. Although their faces were full of disapproval, they were helpless.

Xie Qi now holds military power to guard the border, and has also received an imperial decree from the late emperor to marry Xie Qi. In Yaocheng, far from the emperor's reach, he is practically a local tyrant, and no one dares to say anything no matter how much he misbehaves.

Even the Marquis of Wuyi and his wife were brought from the capital by Xie Qi, who half-coaxed and half-tricked them, just before their wedding. They would be sent away after the wedding ceremony, treated as mere tools for the wedding ceremony.

After paying respects to Heaven and Earth and the ancestral hall, and the couple bowed to each other, Jiang Zhi was led to the bridal chamber, while Xie Qi stayed behind to continue entertaining guests.

Xie Qi was in a good mood today and drank quite a lot without refusing anyone's invitation, but his eyes were always bright and sparkling, like a sky full of stars.

Seeing that he couldn't drink anymore, Xie Qi pretended to be drunk and was helped back home. The rest of the wine was drunk by his personal guards, Wei Yu and Wei Shu.

Pushing open the door to the new room, a warm, fragrant breeze wafted in, and the first thing he saw was Jiang Zhi, dressed in a bright red wedding gown and covered with a red veil, sitting quietly by the bed, waiting for him.

Xie Qi's Adam's apple bobbed, and he couldn't help but rub his face.

Qingxing stepped forward and placed the ceremonial scale in Xie Qi's hand. Xie Qi was inexplicably nervous, his heart pounding as if it were about to leap out of his throat.

He took a deep breath and stepped forward to gently lift the veil from Jiang Zhi's head.

With snow-white skin, a beautiful face, dark eyes, and cherry lips, Jiang Zhi looked up at him quietly and shyly, her delicate hands clutching the hem of her dress. Under the red candlelight, she was breathtakingly beautiful.

Xie Qi's mind exploded like fireworks, and he was stunned for a moment. Then, feeling a surge of heat, he wrapped his arms around her neck and leaned down to kiss her.

"Hey, hey, no, no!" Qingxing cried out in fright, "We haven't even finished the wedding banquet yet, General Xie, why are you in such a hurry? Release my young lady!"

She went to pull him while talking.

Xie Qi kissed her deeply and urgently, as if he couldn't wait even a moment longer. Jiang Zhi was so embarrassed by his actions that, remembering that there were still maids and servants in the bridal chamber, her face turned even redder, and she couldn't help but push him away forcefully.

"Xie Qi, if you keep messing around, I'm not talking to you anymore!" Her breath reeked of his alcohol, and her lipstick was smudged. She glared at him angrily yet shyly, like a flower trembling on a branch, waiting to be picked.

Xie Qi felt a surge of heat in his lower abdomen from her glare, but he could only reluctantly let go and awkwardly touched the tip of his nose.

"Hurry up!" He glanced at Qingxing.

Qingxing wasn't afraid of him at all, and confidently rebuked him, "Young master, only by completing all the formalities can you and Miss live a peaceful and harmonious life in the future. Please bear with me a little longer."

The matchmaker next to him couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle, "I've attended so many weddings, but this is the first time I've seen such an impatient groom. It's clear that General Xie really can't wait."

"Let's finish the ceremony quickly. If we delay the newlyweds from entering their bridal chamber, we won't get any wedding money!"

Amidst the lively laughter, the matchmaker arranged the bed curtains, tied their hair up, and served them the wedding wine. After that, she helped the two of them bathe and cleanse themselves before everyone filed out of the room.

The new house finally became quiet.

Jiang Zhi nervously twisted the sash around her side, somewhat afraid to look up at Xie Qi's wolf-like eyes.

"Zhizhi, I'm finally yours." Xie Qi sighed from his chest.

Who knows how long he had been waiting for this day?

"Mmm," Jiang Zhi replied softly, squinting as she looked up at him.

This glance, however, was like a battle horn, making Xie Qi not want to wait a moment longer.

My heart pounded like a thunderous war drum, and my blood surged like a stampede of ten thousand horses.

He took a deep breath, stepped halfway onto the bed, and eagerly pressed Jiang Zhi back down.

Although she had already bathed and changed her clothes, the bright red embroidered nightgown was still covered in a mess, and the belt buckles were extremely difficult to untangle.

Xie Qi couldn't wait any longer. He used both hands together and with a "ripping" sound, the nightgown was torn in the middle by Xie Qi.

"Ah, Xie Qi! You bastard!" Jiang Zhi exclaimed, raising her hand frantically to cover her clothes.

Her black hair lay disheveled, contrasting with the red and white. The beauty lay amidst the wedding quilts, her pupils glistening with shyness and annoyance, her face flushed with a pale cherry blossom pink.

Xie Qi's eyes turned bloodshot from the beautiful scenery before him, and he couldn't help but utter a curse.

The first time he met Zhizhi was in a cave. He was under the influence of drugs and the light was dim. In his confused state, he was only concerned with releasing the effects of the drugs. He had never seen her so alluring and beautiful.

The veins on his arms bulged, and his forehead throbbed. He took a deep breath and pounced on her like a tiger hunting its prey.

...

"Zhizhi, open your eyes and look at me."

Do you like it this way?

"Touch me, Zhizhi."

"Did you hear that? She's saying, 'Welcome home.'"

...

Jiang Zhi could no longer bear it, her face flushed red with embarrassment, and she dared not look at him. "Xie Qi, you, you stop talking nonsense..."

What on earth is going on in that bastard's head?

Her voice trembled, breaking into broken, unsteady notes.

The bed was in disarray, and she sank into the soft bedding, her ear supported by Xie Qi's hand with its bulging veins, her body feeling as if it had been carved into the bed.

Unfortunately, Xie Qi had spent many years in the military camp and had drunk quite a bit of alcohol today. The shell of good upbringing of a noble family scion had been completely stripped away, and his unruly and irresponsible nature had emerged uncontrollably.

"Zhizhi, do you still remember when you fell into the water at the Crown Princess's engagement banquet?"

"I wanted to do this to you back then."

"On the day we returned from the cave, Lu Yuan was right about one thing: if it were anyone else, I would rather die than do such a thing."

"I just want you, I have evil intentions."

"When you agreed to help me, I was so happy I felt like I was on cloud nine."

"How can you be so kind..."

As he poured out his heart, he spared no effort in making Jiang Zhi uneasy.

"Stop talking, Xie Qi, stop talking..." She couldn't take it anymore and could only plead for mercy in a hesitant voice.

Xie Qi smiled mischievously, "Then give me a kiss."

Jiang Zhi's eyes barely regained a sliver of clarity. She clung to his arm, wanting to kiss him, but Xie Qi took the initiative, cradling the back of her head and kissing her deeply.

She could barely breathe, and she pounded her fists on his hard, iron-like shoulder.

Xie Qi then released her, his eyes brimming with affection he could not conceal. "Zhizhi, what should you call me now?"

Jiang Zhi bit her lip, her voice extremely low, "Husband..."

"My wife is so good."

Xie Qi kissed her again and buried his head to begin a new round of advances.

Qingxing stood guard at the courtyard gate, busy instructing the servants of the General's Mansion to prepare water.

It was late at night, and the guests had all left the mansion. The general's mansion, which had been bustling all day, had quieted down.

Apart from the figures of people coming and going outside the west courtyard, the rest of the area was covered by wind and snow, and was completely silent.

Just then, a loud "boom" startled the servants who were busy outside the new house.

Qingxing was stunned for a while. After realizing what the voice was, her face turned red. She stood at the door of the new house with her hands on her hips, bossing people away.

"Get out of here, all of you. Keep doing your jobs. Don't ask what you shouldn't ask, and don't look at what you shouldn't look at, understand?!"

She sternly chased everyone out of the courtyard before letting out a long sigh of relief.

He wanted to push open the door to see how the young lady was doing, but he was afraid of seeing something he shouldn't, so he stomped his feet in anxiety.

Who would have thought that the groom would break the bed during their wedding night!
