Chapter 343 Zhizhi, please help me blow on it.

Chapter 343 Zhizhi, please blow on it for me.

Lady Wuyi looked distressed. "To tell you the truth, Madam Shen, the Marquis wanted to arrange a marriage for that brat, but he not only refused, but also declared that he would never marry, which infuriated the Marquis."

"Both father and son were stubborn, and they started arguing over a few words. The Marquis was so angry that he not only beat him with family law, but also hit him on the leg with a military stick, which broke."

Jiang Zhi couldn't help but ask with concern, "How is General Xie?"

Xie Qi had just exhausted his inner strength to save the Master a few days ago. How could his body withstand being beaten like this again?

"After all, he is his own son, so the Marquis held back, but that brat has been bedridden for several days," Lady Wuyi rubbed her temples. "He refuses to apply medicine or take medicine, and he even said that if the Marquis forces him to marry again, he might as well just beat him to death. He won't listen to anyone who tries to persuade him."

When Lady Wuyi spoke of Xie Qi, she looked helpless and apologetically at Jiang Zhi, "I really had no other choice but to shamelessly come to Lady Shen's door to ask for her help in persuading him."

“This…” Jiang Zhi hesitated. “I have no relation to General Xie, and I cannot advise him on matters such as marriage. Please forgive me for being powerless to help.”

“I know how much that brat thinks of you. He only listens to you,” Lady Wuyi sighed. “I don’t want Lady Shen to persuade him to agree to marry right now. At least get him to agree to take his medicine and get better first. It’s heartbreaking to see him like this.”

Since Lady Wuyi has put it this way, it would be truly unreasonable for Jiang Zhi to refuse again.

So he nodded, "Okay, I'll try to persuade them."

Lady Wuyi was overjoyed and immediately pulled her to the Wuyi Marquis's residence.

Lady Wuyi stopped at the entrance of Lanxing Garden, where Xie Qi lived, after escorting Jiang Zhi there. She dismissed all the servants and left only a trusted nanny to guard the courtyard.

“I will not allow anyone to approach this place in the short term. The Marquis is also in a bad mood and will not come over. Madam Shen, you don’t need to worry about your reputation being damaged. Thank you for your trouble.”

Jiang Zhi nodded and stepped inside.

Inside the main house, Xie Qi could be seen lying on the bed from afar, his upper body naked, revealing the neat and strong lines of his back.

His muscles were firm and smooth, and his waist had a clean curve, but now it was covered with crisscrossing whip marks.

Although the wound wasn't deep, it was a bloody mess with the skin torn open, clearly indicating that no one had held back.

Xie Qi lay sprawled on the soft pillows, only to hear footsteps approaching. Without even looking up, he immediately said irritably, "I've already said I won't take my medicine, no matter who tries to persuade me! Get out, didn't you hear me? Does this general's word no longer matter?"

Jiang Zhi heard that his voice was still quite strong, so he probably hadn't suffered any internal injuries, which put her mind at ease.

So he smiled and said, "General Xie is quite imposing. Since General Xie does not welcome me, then I have no choice but to take my leave."

Xie Qi recognized Jiang Zhi's voice as soon as he opened his mouth. He turned around with a look of surprise and delight. "Zhi Zhi, what brings you here? If I had known you were coming, I would have gone straight to the door to meet you."

He tried to get off the bed, but the sudden movement aggravated his wound, causing him to hiss involuntarily.

Jiang Zhi immediately stepped forward to help him up, saying, "I was just joking with you. I'm not leaving, so don't move."

As she spoke, she helped him lie back down, asking, "How did you get beaten up like this?"

"It's just a minor injury, I'll be fine in a couple of days. Did you come to see me specifically because you heard I was injured?" Xie Qi asked, his bright peach blossom eyes sparkling as he propped his head up.

He wasn't wearing a shirt, and his physique, honed by years of martial arts training, looked firm and powerful, with his arm muscles appearing even more defined and prominent due to his movements.

Jiang Zhi glanced at him briefly, then turned away shyly, wanting him to put on his clothes first, but he couldn't wear anything due to his injury.

Looking up, he saw the medicine and gauze on the table and said, "How can you not treat your injury? Let me help you."

Xie Qi, who had been reluctant before, obediently agreed and sat up.

Jiang Zhi first took out the wound medicine and used a bamboo stick to dig it out, then had Xie Qi turn his back to her and carefully apply the medicine to him.

"I'll try to be gentle, and tell me if I hurt you."

The whip marks on her back were truly shocking, and Jiang Zhi felt at a loss as to what to do.

Although Xie Qi didn't say anything, the sudden tension in his muscles made Jiang Zhi subconsciously stop moving. "Does it hurt a lot?"

"Okay, Zhizhi, can you blow on it for me?" Xie Qi's voice came.

Jiang Zhi lowered her head and blew a breath onto the lacerated wound.

Xie Qi wasn't really afraid of pain.

But when Jiang Zhi's cool breath, carrying her unique fragrance, brushed against the wound, the tingling, itchy sensation seeped into the skin, even more unbearable than the coolness of the ointment.

Xie Qi's neck veins throbbed, his ears burned, and even his breathing became erratic.

After finally applying the medicine, Jiang Zhi bandaged his wound, then took the outer garment from the rack next to him and put it on him before letting him lie back down.

"Don't be so willful next time. How can you not treat your injury?"

Xie Qi enjoyed her care and felt incredibly at ease. "Who knows what that old man is up to? He's going to any lengths to get me to marry. What if he puts something in my medicine and tries to ruin my reputation?"

After saying that, he looked up at her with his wet eyes and said, "Zhizhi, I am already yours. I will never marry anyone else. You have to believe me."

Jiang Zhi was speechless for a moment. "Didn't we agree that we would pretend that thing never happened and not mention it again?"

"But you seemed to feel good that night too..."

Before he could finish speaking, he saw Jiang Zhi's expression change slightly. She threw down what she was holding and stood up, saying, "If you keep talking nonsense, I'm leaving."

"Wait, wait, I'm not going to say anything more," Xie Qi said, grabbing her hand. "I'm thirsty, Zhizhi."

Jiang Zhi stopped and sighed helplessly, "Then lie back down, I'll pour it for you."

She took a teacup from the table, poured a cup of warm water, and handed it to him. Xie Qi didn't reach out to take it, but instead looked at her with a half-smile.

Jiang Zhi knew what he meant, and couldn't help but chuckle. She sat down on the edge of the couch and brought the teacup to his lips. "Can I drink it now, General Xie?"

Xie Qi raised an eyebrow and lowered his head, drinking water from her hand. His soft, moist lips, whether intentionally or not, brushed lightly across her fingertips.

Jiang Zhi's wrist trembled, and the water in the teacup spilled onto her hand.

Xie Qi then lifted his beautifully shaped eyelids to look at her, and in her astonished gaze, he stuck out the tip of his tongue and licked it, swallowing the water droplets from her fingertips.

“You…” Jiang Zhi took a deep breath, suppressed her slightly erratic heartbeat, and put the teacup back.

Then he sat down opposite him and asked seriously, "Xie Qi, what are your plans regarding marriage?"

Xie Qi blinked, his face nonchalant. "I have no plans to get married."

Before Jiang Zhi could speak, he added, "It's not entirely for you."
