Zhao Xiaofei arrived at Jiang Xiaomei's house carrying a gift, took a deep breath, and rang the doorbell. It was Jiang Xiaomei's younger brother Jiang Di who opened the door. He smiled and said, "Hey! Brother-in-law is here? Come in!"
Jiang Di asked Zhao Xiaofei to come in and change his shoes, and then turned around and shouted to the house, "Mom! Sister! Brother Xiaofei is here!"
Jiang Xiaomei came up to Zhao Xiaofei first and said, "Didn't I tell you not to buy anything? Why are you buying it?"
"It's my first time here, and I'm feeling a bit uneasy with nothing," Zhao Xiaofei said with a smile. Jiang Xiaomei and Jiang Di took the things from him and asked Zhao Xiaofei to sit in the living room.

What a crappy TV show, she's so engrossed in it. She didn't even greet her future son-in-law when he arrived, just sitting there. Back when everyone lived in a bungalow, Aunt Jiang wasn't like this! Was it the excitement of the divorce?
Zhao Xiaofei didn't hesitate and sat down on the sofa. Seeing that his mother ignored him, Jiang Di smiled at him awkwardly. His mother was against him and Jiang Xiaomei because Jiang Xiaomei was quiet, dull, and didn't know how to deal with people. In fact, Zhao Xiaofei's mother felt that Jiang Xiaomei would not coax her and would not talk to her when she came to his house. Because the eldest son was busy with work and the second son was a dull person, if she married another one like Jiang Xiaomei who was quiet, she would feel that she would be bored to death.
"So that's how it is. It's okay. We'll have plenty of time to meet each other in the future. How's your work going lately?" asked Jiang's mother.
"It's great! I just got a salary increase last month, and now I get 5,500 yuan a month!" said Zhao Xiaofei.
"We have to keep working hard. In the future, we have to live as a couple and have children to raise. There are many places to spend money!" said Jiang's mother.
Zhao Xiaofei's face was full of black lines. It seemed that Jiang's mother was thinking long-term. Jiang Xiaomei was embarrassed. It seemed that her mother wanted to marry her off quickly! After chatting with Jiang's mother about some family matters, Jiang's mother went to the kitchen to cook. Jiang Xiaomei sat next to Zhao Xiaofei and said, "Good job! Let's go shopping together tonight!" After that, she kissed Zhao Xiaofei and went to help in the kitchen.
Jiang Di sat over at this time and said to Zhao Xiaofei, "Brother-in-law, how far has your relationship with my sister progressed? Have you? Haha!" Then he smiled obscenely and gave Zhao Xiaofei a look that every man understood.
Zhao Xiaofei smiled awkwardly and said, "I said your sister and I are still in a pure relationship between man and woman. Do you believe me?"
"Tsk! I don't believe you! What games are there to play recently? I'm tired of Grand Theft Auto!" Jiang Di said.
"I don't have time to play recently. I won the license plate lottery and am planning to buy a car! With a car, I can pick up and drop off your sister to and from get off work!" Zhao Xiaofei smiled proudly.
"What? My brother-in-law won the lottery? What car should I buy? How about a Cadillac SUV?" Jiang Di said excitedly. He seemed even happier than Zhao Xiaofei, because if Zhao Xiaofei had a car, he could borrow his to pick up girls.
"Do you think I look like someone who can afford a Cadillac?" Zhao Xiaofei said.
"Then what are you going to buy? Honda Accord? Toyota Camry?" Jiang Di asked.
"I can't even afford one! I'm planning on buying an Alto!" Zhao Xiaofei said, and Jiang Di was very disappointed. How could he pick up girls with this car? Having a car is worse than not having one. So they chatted for a while and then went back to their room to continue playing games.
After dinner with Jiang Xiaomei and her family, Zhao Xiaofei went home to change his clothes, picked up his bag, and went to the mall with Jiang Xiaomei. Jiang Xiaomei knew that Zhao Xiaofei made little money, so he shopped a lot but bought very little. He always picked the cheapest items. After leaving the Uniqlo door, Zhao Xiaofei asked, "Is there anything else you want to shop for?"
"No more! Can we walk two stops and then take the bus home?" Jiang Xiaomei said.
In fact, she wanted to save some money on the car fare. Zhao Xiaofei said, "No need to save money on the car fare. I plan to buy a car next week. It's been three months since I won the lottery. I can pick you up to go to get off work in the future!"
"No need! It's fast for me to take the subway! I won't be late! You will get stuck in traffic if you drive. How about we drive when we go out to play on weekends next time?" Jiang Xiaomei said.
"Okay! I'll listen to you! But after buying the car, drive it a few times first, otherwise your hands will get rusty." Zhao Xiaofei said.
"Then it runs only once a week on Mondays and Fridays. Is it okay for us to take the subway on other days?" Jiang Xiaomei said.
"Why Monday and Friday?" asked Zhao Xiaofei.
"Because I have two days off, I feel annoyed about going to work on Monday, so I want to go comfortably and don't want to squeeze into the subway. It's almost time to get off work on Friday and I'm anxious to go home, so I feel good when I drive home," said Jiang Xiaomei.
"Your brother also wants me to buy a Cadillac SUV!" Zhao Xiaofei immediately betrayed his future brother-in-law.
"He wants to drive a nice car to pick up girls! Don't pay attention to him! An Alto is enough! I don't want you to pay off the loan to buy a nice car, it's too tiring!" said Jiang Xiaomei.
