Chapter 49 Zhao Xiaofei's Confusion
Zhao Xiaofei drove his brother to the bungalow. On the way, Zhao Xiaokun said, "The best way is to burn the body. That way the police won't find the body, and you'll be fine."
Zhao Xiaofei glanced at his elder brother. He was now much calmer and wanted to tease him, so he said, "Where are you going to burn it? How can you light a fire without being discovered?"
"First cut the body into small pieces and take them out to burn. This way no one else will find it!" Zhao Xiaokun said seriously.
"Can't we use sulfuric acid?" Zhao Xiaofei asked.
"You've watched too many TV dramas. I told you to study chemistry well, but you forgot. Bones and teeth are difficult to be corroded by strong acids and alkalis. We don't have time now, and burning them is the fastest way. Without fingerprints and flesh and blood, the easiest way to identify the deceased is through teeth. If you can't, pull out the teeth and destroy them first." Zhao Xiaokun wanted wholeheartedly to help his brother get rid of the crime.
"Brother! Don't worry! I have dealt with all the people. No one will come to trouble me." Zhao Xiaofei didn't want to make his brother worry too much at this time.
Seeing his brother's fearless expression, Zhao Xiaokun asked, "What's going on?"
"Brother! If a person travels through time and space, I should be talking about a parallel world. It's almost like going to another planet. Do you believe me?" Zhao Xiaofei said.
"Have you watched too many science fiction movies?" asked Zhao Xiaokun.
"I knew you wouldn't believe it, but it's true. I, your brother, have no ability and no connections. How could I have become rich so quickly? Don't you think about it?" Zhao Xiaofei said.
"Can you really travel through time and space?" Zhao Xiaokun asked.
"Yes! I didn't believe it at first, but it really happened later. I thought I could never come back, but I found out that I could travel back and forth. So I used my ability to travel back and forth to make a fortune!" Zhao Xiaofei explained.
"Then where can you travel to?" Zhao Xiaokun asked.
"The 14th year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty!" said Zhao Xiaofei.
"Chongzhen? The one who was hanged in Jingshan?" Zhao Xiaokun asked. He was not very familiar with history, but he knew Chongzhen, the unfortunate man who was hanged in Jingshan.
"Yes! He is my father-in-law!" said Zhao Xiaofei.
"What? Your father-in-law? What's going on?" Zhao Xiaokun asked.
"It's nothing actually. What happened is that I fell into the river that day..." Zhao Xiaofei told his elder brother everything while driving.
Zhao Xiaokun was stunned after hearing this and said to Zhao Xiaofei, "Brother! You're really good at making wire mesh! And you've even married two women. Doesn't your waist hurt?"
Zhao Xiaofei thought to himself, Brother! You really deserve to be a medical student, you can see it at a glance. Zhao Xiaofei rolled his eyes and said, "Brother! That's not the point. The point is to help me analyze what I should do?"
"Let me see what the Ming Dynasty looked like first! Let's see if the body is really there first," Zhao Xiaokun said. He was clearly still a little skeptical. Anyone would be skeptical, and Zhao Xiaofei could understand that.
Arriving at the location, the two brothers got out of the car. As soon as Zhao Xiaokun entered the yard, he asked, "Besides me, who else knows about this house?"
"No more! You are the only one who knows! Get ready! Let's go!" Zhao Xiaofei pulled his eldest brother and instantly traveled back to Yanyu Tower.
Zhao Xiaokun immediately noticed a change in the surroundings. In front of the original small bungalow, a small building appeared, with an ancient charm. The surroundings were no longer filled with the noise of modern society, and it seemed very quiet.
"Have we really traveled through time?" Zhao Xiaokun was a little excited about this fact, but also a little skeptical.
"Let's change clothes and go out. I'll show you my Prince Consort's Mansion." Zhao Xiaofei dragged his older brother upstairs, and the two of them changed into Ming Dynasty Hanfu. Zhao Xiaokun was completely convinced this time and didn't ask about the corpse anymore. He really wanted to see what Beijing looked like during the Ming Dynasty.
As soon as he left the hospital, Xiao Wen saw Zhao Xiaokun behind the Prince Consort. He gripped the hilt of his knife and asked, "Prince Consort! Who is this?"
"This is my eldest brother, call him Young Master!" said Zhao Xiaofei.
"I am Xiao Wen, greetings to the young master!" Xiao Wen greeted.
"No thanks!" Zhao Xiaokun said quickly, feeling a little uncomfortable.
Zhao Xiaofei said to Xiao Wen: "Prepare the car! Go back home!"
"Yes!" Xiao Wen agreed, and then went to prepare the carriage. Zhao Xiaofei and Zhao Xiaokun got on the carriage and returned to the Prince Consort's Mansion.
As soon as he got out of the car, Zhao Xiaokun said to his brother, "Holy crap! How many courtyards does this have? If this were in modern times, it would cost hundreds of millions, right?"
"Fourth place! I saw it online, 200 million!" Zhao Xiaofei said proudly.
The servants outside the mansion immediately opened the door upon seeing the Prince Consort return. They stood on either side, welcoming the Prince Consort and his guests. This grandeur gave Zhao Xiaokun, living in modern society, his first glimpse into the rich and powerful. He followed his brother, greeting everyone around him. But no one dared to approach him.
Xiao Wen sent someone to inform the princess and Li Sihong that the prince consort's eldest brother had been found. Upon hearing her uncle's arrival, Princess Kunxing quickly had Jixiang Ruyi dress her up. She wore a bright red, cross-collared shirt, a red silk skirt, and a large red tunic embroidered with a phoenix. She wore a nine-騎 (Dizi) crown, woven from copper and plated with gold. Nine 騎 birds were woven from silver thread, each holding a pearl in its beak. It can be said that Princess Kunxing, Zhu Mianzhu, treated her uncle to the utmost courtesy.
Li Sihong, meanwhile, wore a pink crew-neck shirt and a pink skirt. Over it, she wore a green bodice, a fresh and elegant look. Both wore light makeup and entered the main hall simultaneously. Zhao Xiaokun was stunned by the sight of the two girls dressed in traditional Chinese costumes, each more exquisite than the other. Princess Kunxing's makeup was especially captivating. These were far more refined than those in TV dramas; they were absolutely stunning. They were dignified and appropriate, though she was a little young, and her aura wasn't quite right for them. Then, looking at Li Sihong, she was fresh and elegant, beautiful and generous.
