Chapter 76: Meeting Jiang Di Again
"Brother!" The word "brother" pulled Zhao Xiaofei and Qin Baobao out of their sweet atmosphere. Zhao Xiaofei turned around and saw that it was Jiang Di, whom he hadn't seen for a long time. His sister and Zhao Xiaofei were no longer engaged, so he could only call her brother.
"Oh! Jiang Di! What's up? You didn't even tell me you were coming back to Beijing!" Zhao Xiaofei knew Jiang Di had gone to Nanjing with his sister for work. He was working diligently now, and according to his subordinates, he could be promoted to supervisor according to company standards. Zhao Xiaofei planned to give him a raise next month.
"I..." Jiang Di glanced at Qin Baobao, who quickly ran away. Seeing her walk away, Jiang Di said, "Brother! Can you go to Nanjing to accompany my sister?"
"I just came back, and your sister doesn't want to see me! She also said that if I harass her again, she will call the police!" said Zhao Xiaofei.
"My sister is two months pregnant!" Jiang Di's words were like a bolt from the blue.
Zhao Xiaofei grabbed Jiang Di by the collar and asked loudly, "Really? Then why didn't she say anything? Why didn't she pay attention to me?"

"Is she planning to abort the child?" Zhao Xiaofei asked.

"That's right! I'll book a plane ticket now! Come with me right away!" said Zhao Xiaofei.

If his sister were the boss, his future would be limitless. But what was he now? Just a handyman. No one looked down on him, and he was ordered around by everyone.
A few days ago, he noticed his sister was vomiting constantly and had gone to the hospital. He came back early while his sister was at work and rummaged through her drawers. He found the hospital's medical report, which showed she was pregnant. He was happier than anyone else, thinking that this time, his sister had a chance of being with Xiao Fei.
So he waited for his sister to come back. When Jiang Xiaomei got home and saw her brother cooking, she said, "The sun is rising from the west today! Why did you think of cooking for me?"
Jiang Di didn't say anything. He set the dishes in order. He asked his sister to sit down. He sat opposite her and said, "Sister! It was all my fault before. I was ignorant and got cheated. I'm so sorry for hurting you like this!"
"Xiao Di, you are my younger brother. I was angry at first, but it's all in the past. How can siblings hold grudges against each other? You are performing quite well now. I guess you will be promoted to supervisor in a month or two..." Jiang Xiaomei was about to say something when Jiang Di interrupted her.
"Sister! I know you are pregnant! I saw you vomiting a lot recently!" Jiang Di said.
"Oh! Have you watched too much TV? Women don't get pregnant just by vomiting. Recently, I..." Jiang Xiaomei was interrupted again.
"Sister! I saw the hospital report! Don't hide it from me!" Jiang Di lowered his head and glanced at his sister.
Jiang Xiaomei put down her chopsticks and said coldly, "Yes! I am pregnant! But it's not Zhao Xiaofei's!"
"Sister! Who are you trying to fool? You and I don't know each other, who else could you be with besides Brother Xiaofei? Even if you get out of here and have sex with someone else, it won't be so fast!" Jiang Di said.
This brother really understood her. Jiang Xiaomei said, "Don't tell him! It's impossible for me to be with him! I'm looking for a hospital these two days."
"Sister! Do you want to abort it?" Jiang Di asked with wide eyes.
Jiang Xiaomei nodded. Jiang Di held her sister's hand and said, "Are you crazy? This is such a great opportunity! With this child, even if Aunt Liu is unhappy, she will agree! My little nephew has been raised with a silver spoon in his mouth since he was born. How happy he is!"
Jiang Xiaomei knew what her brother meant. As an uncle, he couldn't possibly care whether his nephew was doing well or not. He wanted her and Zhao Xiaofei to reconcile for his own future. But she didn't want to expose him. She smiled coldly and said, "Just get back to work! Stay out of our business!" After that, she left without even eating. When she returned to the company, she ran into Zhao Xiaofei coming to the Nanjing office.
Jiang Xiaomei also watched Douyin during her break. She also saw the video of Zhao Xiaofei and Qin Baobao dancing together. She turned off her phone, went out and took a taxi to the hospital.
Zhao Xiaofei and Jiang Di got off the plane, and Zhao Xiaofei called his eldest brother first.
"Brother! Is Xiaomei in the company?"
"She asked for leave! She said she wasn't feeling well, so I approved her for a week's leave. I saw she looked unhappy! What's wrong, Xiaofei? Is there something wrong?"
"It's okay, big brother! Go ahead and do your work!"
After hanging up the phone, the two of them drove straight to Jiang Xiaomei's residence. But when Jiang Di opened the door, she found that her sister was not at home. Zhao Xiaofei asked, "Where did your sister go?"
Jiang Di was also panicking. He tried hard to recall which hospital he had secretly watched his sister report to. After thinking for a long time, he suddenly said, "Right! It's called Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital!"
"Let's go!" Zhao Xiaofei rushed downstairs without saying a word. The two drove straight to the hospital.
After parking, the two asked around for places to get abortions. They finally found one. Because the procedure required a family member's signature, Jiang Xiaomei had paid someone to pretend to be her brother and sign on her behalf. They asked the nurse at the front desk and found someone claiming to be Jiang Di. Zhao Xiaofei grabbed the imposter and asked, "Who are you? Why are you pretending to be her brother and signing?"
The man wore glasses and had a round, slightly chubby face. He was about 30 years old. He stammered, "Boss, Mr. Jiang asked me for help, and I can't help it!" This man clearly knew Zhao Xiaofei. But Zhao Xiaofei didn't remember him.
