Chapter Thirty-Seven

This world is vast, and players are scattered across various cities. Players in other cities should be able to survive for ten days safely as long as they store up food and water and find a place to hide.

The eighth day passed safely. On the morning of the ninth day, Lin Xia was woken up by a commotion. Looking out the window at the long convoy of cars and the swarms of zombies, she sighed. She really didn't want to fight zombies anymore; they were just too smelly.

She was sitting on the rooftop, still quite conspicuous, and was quickly spotted. Lin Xia took out her pistol and fired three shots at the feet of the person who came looking for her. The person raised his hands and backed away, shouting from a distance that he wouldn't bother her.
The ninth day passed amidst the noise. On the tenth day, Lin Xia was awakened by a buzzing sound. She looked at the enormous mosquito she had swatted with the handle of her knife and her expression changed drastically. The mosquitoes that had disappeared for nine days had reappeared. This was absolutely terrible news.
This mosquito was three or four times larger than before, and its proboscis looked much harder. She listened intently and felt that, apart from human voices, the world seemed to have come alive again, with rustling sounds constantly coming from it.
The doors and windows were already locked. She wandered around the house and sure enough, she swatted six mosquitoes and three flies. She checked each room and locked it one by one. In the end, Lin Xia stayed in the living room on the first floor.
Chaos broke out outside as well, with the sounds of people banging on things rising and falling, and occasional suppressed gasps of alarm.
Lin Xia looked at the mountains not far away, wondering if the animals would change. If they did, it would be another new challenge for the world. She just hoped that nothing would change today.
These mosquitoes, perhaps starving for too long, were unusually persistent, constantly looking for cracks to squeeze into the house. Fortunately, although they had grown a bit larger, they hadn't mutated to the point of being able to break through glass.
Lin Xia didn't need to go out to find food, and she safely passed the tenth day. She only had a few minutes left before she could go back. Lin Xia took out everything she had bought in this world and put it in the living room. In a flash, she was back in the pure white space.
