Chapter 2 Two Survival Systems
Chapter Two: Two Survival Systems
The older sister, who had just been lecturing Lin Xia, was overjoyed. She quickly thanked her and took the bag, then started arguing with the people at the door. It was the middle of summer, and it was the weekend, so everyone was dressed lightly.
Unfortunately, Lin Xia's shoes were all size 37 and her clothes were all size M, which might not fit everyone. Regardless of whether they could wear them or not, the group divided the plastic bags, as they could be used to keep out the rain.
Seeing the rapidly rising water level, Lin Xia glanced at the noisy apartment across the street and, before they came out, grabbed the handrail and climbed to the roof.
The girl on the second floor hesitated for a while, then put on a plastic bag and followed. Her family had only moved in recently, and her parents happened to be out today. Lin Xia was the only person here who could give her a sense of security.
When Lin Xia came out, she realized that the rain wasn't that heavy. Although it was so heavy that people couldn't open their eyes, the amount of rain didn't match the continuously rising water level. However, the water level was indeed rising visibly, which seemed very strange.
Standing on the edge, watching the garbage churning in the water, Lin Xia looked around, somewhat lost. If this place were to flood, where would she go?
At that moment, she suddenly remembered the seawater that flooded in during her dream that night, but it was just a dream.
As she thought of this, she suddenly saw a white yacht. Lin Xia blinked and then disappeared.
She was astonished. If she remembered correctly, she seemed to have seen this thing in a dream. But how could it be here?
Lin Xia pursed her lips and focused her attention on the direction in which the yacht had just appeared.
She saw it again, she really saw it, and it seemed like she could even take the yacht out.
Lin Xia swallowed hard, her mind a jumble of thoughts. Was that a dream? Could it be a toy? But she could sense that it wasn't a toy.
Anyway, she definitely won't drown, which is something to be happy about.
The water's arrival was already inexplicable; if something else even stranger were to happen, it would be... illogical.
Looking around, I saw that the residents had gradually come to the rooftop. Some had pots on their heads, some had umbrellas, and some had wooden boards to shield themselves, and they were scattered among the solar panels covering the roof.
As Lin Xia moved away from the edge and back to the center, she heard a strange electronic sound.
[Ding, Ocean Survival game successfully loaded.]
[Boat equipment has been issued. Please check your sea survival tools. Note: The equipment storage space will disappear after the equipment is removed. Please be careful.]
[Boat equipment can be upgraded; please explore other rules on your own.]
A flash of blue light appeared, and Lin Xia noticed that everyone was wearing a wristwatch.
[The ocean survival game is now starting.]
As soon as she finished speaking, Lin Xia noticed that the water level was rising even faster, instantly reaching her knees.
The people on the rooftop looked at each other in dismay, the older ones showing even more fear on their faces.
"What is that?"
"Did you hear anything?"
"What survival game? Who's behind this?"
......
Suddenly, a 3-meter by 3-meter wooden raft appeared in the water, and everyone looked over in astonishment.
"It's real! There really is a raft!" The raft owner exclaimed as he hurriedly climbed onto it.
The people around them also wanted to get on, but they seemed to be blocked by something and could not get on the raft.
The raft owner was stunned for a moment before exclaiming, "You don't have any?"
Seeing that the water level had reached their thighs, everyone took out their boat equipment.
Lin Xia looked over and saw that they were almost all the same rafts, except that the girl's raft on the second floor looked bigger and had a small wooden house on it, and one person's raft had a thatched hut on it, while the others' rafts were empty.
"No wonder we can't get up there; it turns out we need the owner's permission first," someone exclaimed.
"Hey, why do you have a cabin and I don't?"
"Quick, let me go to your place to take shelter from the rain."
The girl on the second floor looked surprised and quickly went into the small wooden house. She looked warily at the people outside the window and hesitated before glancing at Lin Xia.
......
Lin Xia hesitated, wondering whether to take out the yacht. Suddenly, the tall building beneath her feet shook twice, and those who were also hesitant and hadn't taken out their boats exclaimed in surprise.
After the tremor subsided, another mechanical sound exploded in my ears.
[Ding! Congratulations! Planet M37-7369852 has successfully loaded the survival game.]
[Ding, other systems detected. Initiating absorption.]
[The takeover has begun.]
The takeover attempt failed.
[Initiating fusion.]
[Ding, fusion error - reload.]
[Restart.]
The watch on my wrist blinked twice before stopping.
What is that now?!
Lin Xia was utterly astonished. Two survival games had simultaneously appeared on Earth?! How could anyone possibly survive?!
[Get ready, the survival game countdown has begun: 10, 9, 8, 7... 3, 2, 1.]
Lin Xia was completely bewildered. What preparations should she make?
In the ocean survival game, she got the yacht first and thought she had the first-come-first-served script, but unexpectedly another survival game appeared.
Suddenly everything went dark, then bright again. Lin Xia found herself in a small, square, and utterly empty space.
A blue light appeared, scanning Lin Xia from head to toe, and a blue interface appeared in front of Lin Xia's eyes.

[Game begins.]
Lin Xia's vision blurred, and a cacophony of sounds flooded her ears.
Looking up, she saw a large supermarket right in front of her, bustling with people. She was at the entrance of an open-air underground supermarket, where there was a small plaza.
"Wow, is this a hologram? It's so realistic!"
"What's going on? I want to go home!"
"These are attribute cards? If I had a lot of these, wouldn't I become incredibly strong? Hahaha..."
"Brother, we're the same! I'm accelerating, what about you?"
The player next to Lin Xia immediately covered his card, which Lin Xia happened to catch a glimpse of.
Upon hearing the conversation, she looked over and saw that each of the two people held a card. When she saw it, she also noticed the words "[Backupable]" appearing on the card.
Lin Xia's eyes lit up as she thought of the talent she had drawn and immediately chose to back it up.
Backup successful: Backup attribute card: Mental Strength +1.
Backup successful: Backup properties: Speed +1.
Backup successful: Backup attribute card: Constitution +1.
Seeing that everyone was looking over, the player immediately used the card cautiously. The card disappeared, and then the player rushed into the supermarket without looking back.
Seeing this, the players next to them immediately chose to use it as well, and even raised their eyebrows smugly, glancing at everyone's backpacks.
