Chapter 19 Little Deer VS Sword Dust

Three days later, an eerie atmosphere enveloped the entire Yunmeng Mountain.

Many outer disciples were whispering among themselves, as if they were spreading some news.

Just then, Xiao Lu'er arrived at the outer gate from the top of Yunmeng Mountain with her sword, and angrily shouted at Jian Chen to come out and die.

This action also alarmed all the outer disciples, who all gathered around to watch the spectacle.

After all, Jian Chen was the strongest fighter among the disciples of Ke Gui Valley, but Xiao Lu'er and the others didn't know much about him. They only knew that he was Lu Li's sister, but not his biological sister.

They had no idea about the little deer's fighting ability.

"Jian Chen! You've brought my brother Lu to this point, come out and face your death!" Little Deer shouted.

Jian Chen sat in the room, a helpless expression on his face.

Although he knew this was Lu Li's scheme, he still felt embarrassed to be shouted at like that.

After letting out a sigh, Jian Chen slowly opened the door.

"Hmph, I thought you were going to be a coward!"

Little Deer finally got her revenge, because she had never won against Jian Chen in their usual fights.

"Why are you doing this? A true man stands tall and upright; if he didn't do it, he didn't do it," Jian Chen explained.

Little Deer's eyes narrowed, and she said sharply, "Brother Lu has been ill ever since he left you. If you say it has nothing to do with you, only that old ghost would believe your nonsense!"

Seeing the two about to draw their swords, all the outer disciples consciously retreated a few meters.

Although they didn't know Xiao Lu'er, they knew Jian Chen's strength.

"Fine, if you don't believe me, then let's fight."

After saying that, Jian Chen drew his short sword from his waist and swung it in a sharp flourish.

"Hmph, I'll see if your title as the number one outer sect fighter is just an empty name!"

Little Deer raised her longsword and charged towards Jian Chen first.

Jian Chen slightly shifted his body to dodge Xiao Lu'er's attack, then countered with a thrust, forcing Xiao Lu'er to retreat and defend herself. Jian Chen, meanwhile, moved with lightning speed, quickly closing in on Xiao Lu'er and thrusting his sword one after another at her vital points.

The two clashed and separated instantly, dozens of moves having passed in the blink of an eye, each one terrifying. Many outer disciples were secretly astonished, realizing that Jian Chen was indeed the strongest fighter among the outer disciples; with this strength alone, he was enough to crush many martial artists of the same level.

"Bang!"

Suddenly, Little Deer withdrew her longsword to block Jian Chen's short sword, using the recoil to leap a distance. Jian Chen also stopped and stood still. Little Deer landed on a tree trunk, exhaled softly, and with a flick of her wrist, a throwing knife gleaming coldly appeared in her hand.

The throwing knife emitted an eerie light, giving off a chilling feeling.

Whoosh!

Little Deer launched her throwing knife, which shot out instantly, heading straight for Jian Chen.

"bite!"

Jian Chen brandished his short sword to block the flying knife. Then, he stomped his feet on the ground, his body transforming into a gust of wind as he rushed forward, gripping his short sword tightly and thrusting it fiercely at the little deer with a sharp whooshing sound.

"Clang! Clang! Clang..."

The two began fighting again. Jian Chen's footwork was profound, like a ghost, his figure elusive and unpredictable. Moreover, his swordsmanship was extremely exquisite and swift, making him impossible to catch.

However, Little Deer's throwing knives were also unpredictable, flying out from time to time, keeping Jian Chen constantly on his toes.

The battle between the two became increasingly intense, and gradually, Jian Chen fell into a disadvantageous position.

Because of his constant dodging, Xiao Lu'er's throwing knives repeatedly grazed his clothes, and several times they even nearly pierced his body. If this continued, Jian Chen would inevitably be defeated in the end.

Little Deer remained excited, flicking her wrist and continuously throwing flying knives at Jian Chen.

The outer disciples watching were also shocked, discussing among themselves, "How could Senior Brother Jian Chen be in such a sorry state? How could Little Deer have managed to suppress him like this?"

"Senior Sister Little Deer is truly amazing! Her throwing knife technique is so fluid and unpredictable, it's impossible to defend against. Moreover, this technique seems rather sinister; I have a feeling Senior Brother Jian Chen is going to suffer!"

"Yes, Senior Sister Little Deer's throwing knife technique is incredibly powerful; Senior Brother Jian Chen probably won't be able to withstand it!"

"Senior Brother Jian Chen is probably in grave danger this round."

The outer disciples shook their heads and sighed.

The next moment, Little Deer suddenly lunged forward, ready to fight Jian Chen in close combat.

All the outer disciples stared wide-eyed. Anyone with eyes could see that Little Deer's throwing knives were a perfect counter to Jian Chen's, because he was using a short sword.

However, if Xiao Lu'er were to engage in close combat with Jian Chen, she would be giving up her own advantages.

"Ding-dong~"

The two weapons clashed, sparks flying and a clanging sound of metal striking metal.

Jian Chen and Xiao Lu'er stared at each other with murderous intent.

"Slash!" Jian Chen roared, his arm muscles bulging and veins popping, as he slashed his sword at Xiao Lu'er's shoulder.

Little Deer's pretty face changed, and she quickly raised her leg and kicked Jian Chen in the chest.

"Bang!"

A muffled thud was heard, and Jian Chen staggered back a few steps, while Xiao Lu'er took several steps back before regaining her balance.

At this moment, Jian Chen had broken free and, wielding his short sword, attacked her again with incredible speed, reaching Xiao Lu'er in the blink of an eye.

"Damn it, how can this guy be so fast?" Little Deer cursed under her breath and had no choice but to swing her longsword to meet him.

"Pfft!"

Blood spurted out, and a bloody gash appeared on Jian Chen's left arm, which was immediately covered in blood.

"Ah—!" Jian Chen screamed in pain, clutching his wound and staggering backward.
