"Who are you looking for?" The gatekeeper frowned and asked when he saw Lu Li standing in front of the Xun residence.
"My name is Lu Li from Guigu, and I have come to pay my respects to Dean Xun," Lu Li explained with a cupped hand and a smile.
"The master is seriously ill and will not receive guests. Leave immediately!" the gatekeeper refused outright.

Xun Yu knew Dian Wei's personality all too well; he was very easy to get along with, but Lu Li was his Achilles' heel.
Dian Wei snorted and was about to throw the Xun family's guards out when Lu Li quickly said, "Let them go slowly!"
Dian Wei reluctantly placed the guard on the ground and then retreated behind Lu Li, protecting him like a loyal bodyguard.

Xun Yu shook his head with a wry smile. This Dian Wei was too straightforward!
Lu Li and Xun Yu exchanged a few pleasantries, and then Lu Li, led by Xun Yu, went inside.
