Chapter 19 Wang Dazhuang's Transformation into a Top Student

"These grapes are really good. I should have bought more. The ones at the fruit stand aren't this sweet, hmm..."

Wang Dazhuang had been eating ever since Li Lechen paid for the meal. They were almost at his uncle's house and he was still eating. He had probably eaten about one or two pounds of food.

"That's enough. If you keep eating, I'll be too embarrassed to offer you any more," Li Lechen said, slapping away Wang Dazhuang's outstretched hand.

"Yes, business is important! Business is important!"

Wang Dazhuang wiped his mouth and rubbed his hands together, then became serious.

Leishi Village is a village with a long history. Because the surrounding mountains are suitable for quarrying, the villagers have relied on quarrying and carving as their main source of income for hundreds of years.

So, all Li Lechen and his group saw along their journey were stone carving workshops. Large ones carved stone lions, pillars, and screens; smaller ones carved ornaments, paperweights, and exercise balls; and various architectural and decorative stones were everywhere.

"Let's go to my uncle's house first, and then find an opportunity to go to Zhou Mi's house," Li Lechen instructed. "My uncle just shipped those sweet potatoes over this morning, so we'll come over to thank him."

"Mmm!" Wang Dazhuang nodded repeatedly. "Those sweet potatoes are indeed fresh, and the juice is still thick; it should be very smooth, right?"

Upon hearing this, Li Lechen's face darkened instantly, and he thought to himself: Lubrication my ass!

As they spoke, the two arrived in front of a three-story villa.

"Your uncle's family is really rich." Wang Dazhuang looked up at the villa in front of him and couldn't help but sigh.

Whether someone is rich or poor can only be determined through comparison. Wang Dazhuang had been looking at bungalows and at most two or three-story buildings the whole way, so the sudden appearance of a villa was truly stunning.

“My uncle is in the stone business. He mainly sells the stone tables, chairs, benches, and other stone materials processed by the villagers to factories,” Li Lechen explained.

Wang Dazhuang suddenly realized: "So your uncle is one of the legendary exploiters!"

"Yo yo yo!" Li Lechen couldn't help but glance at Wang Dazhuang sideways. "You even know what the exploiting class is? Come on! Give me a definition."

"Ahem!" Wang Dazhuang coughed exaggeratedly twice, then said loudly, "According to the principle that 'labor is the sole source of value,' any increase in value is created by laborers and originates from 'living' labor value. Since the labor value inherent in the means of production is a 'dead' labor value, it doesn't contribute to the increase in value. Those who input the means of production haven't expended labor, yet they receive surplus value. This is 'uncompensated appropriation,' a form of 'exploitation,' and the group whose main source of income is 'exploitation' is the exploiting class. Capitalist methods of exploitation include absolute surplus value exploitation and relative surplus value exploitation. Absolute surplus value exploitation refers to..."

"Wait a moment!"

Li Lechen interrupted Wang Dazhuang, and at the same time, his head started buzzing.

Are you sure those words just now came from Wang Dazhuang?

Although Li Lechen didn't know if Wang Dazhuang's answer was correct, it sounded very sophisticated and impressive. If it were written on the test paper, the teacher would definitely give it a very good impression score.

But that doesn't make sense!

Although Li Lechen wasn't in the same class as Wang Dazhuang, he knew about Wang Dazhuang's past grades. Aside from being better at sports, Wang Dazhuang's grades in all other subjects were worse. Especially English; Li Lechen had at least managed a passing score of 63, while Wang Dazhuang had a dismal 36.

Then, throughout the summer vacation, Wang Dazhuang would come to my house to preach, teach, and answer my questions—or rather, watch porn, masturbate, and waste paper. It happened every few days, if not every two or three.

How could these be?

Seeing Li Lechen's surprised expression, Wang Dazhuang was extremely proud and explained, "This question is a major question from the summer homework political test. There are only five questions in total, and there will definitely be one of them in the mock exam when school starts. It's a multiple-choice question, practically a free point."

Is this an easy question?

Li Lechen twitched the corner of his mouth.

It's so tongue-twisting! Even if I knew this was going to be on the test, I wouldn't be able to memorize it!

However, Li Lechen never dreamed that he, who was already at the bottom of his class, would be surpassed by Wang Dazhuang.

How are we supposed to live from now on?

"Don't be sad," Wang Dazhuang tried to put on a sympathetic expression to comfort him. "It's probably too late for you to memorize the long-answer questions now. Even if you copy them, you'll have to copy the whole thing. You're more likely to succeed by copying multiple-choice questions. I mainly memorized the long-answer questions."

"Copying does indeed require copying the entire thing."

Suddenly, a voice came from behind Li Lechen and Wang Dazhuang, startling Li Lechen, whose head was already buzzing.

The two turned around, and as expected, it was Zhou Mi who spoke.

Because he suddenly ran into Zhou Mi, right in front of his uncle's house, Li Lechen's prepared excuses—such as first going to his uncle's house and then finding a reason to go to Zhou Mi's house—were suddenly useless.

After hesitating for a moment, he finally asked, "You've come to see your uncle too?"

But as soon as the words left his mouth, Li Lechen immediately regretted them.

Because of this word "also," how am I supposed to start talking about homework later?

Sure enough, Zhou Mi looked serious and gave a snort. She was busy, and it was best if it didn't involve her.

Of course, as a top student, Zhou Mi knew what the two people were there for just by glancing at their backs.

Also, Zhou Mi, like Li Lechen, did not come empty-handed. However, Li Lechen carried a bag of grapes, while Zhou Mi stood on a stone bench of a tricycle, which was piled up neatly and was seriously overloaded.

"Your summer vacation..."

"Uncle~~~~ Uncle~~~~~"
