Chapter 402 A Feeling Arises

This replacement should have been a simple matter, but Zhou Mi was coming, so Li Lechen had to explain things to F001.

Fortunately, Li Lechen is still considered a patient by everyone, and since he's a patient, he can sleep as long as he wants. It's unlikely that Zhou Mi, the academic star, will waste time watching him sleep.

So, it was agreed that F001 could just sleep in the afternoon, and the two of them would keep in touch, and then switch back without anyone noticing.

When he left, Li Lechen was still a little worried, but considering that neither Zhou Mi nor anyone else could possibly understand the technology of two thousand years later, not only were there two identical Li Lechens, but there was also something like a teleportation portal, he felt a little more at ease.

At 1:30 p.m., about an hour after Li Lechen left, there was a knock on the door.

F001 lay on the bed, and although it was just a virtual image, he could still feel his heart pounding wildly.

Didn't you say that my cousin has her own key? Didn't you say she'd open the door and come in by herself? Didn't you say that once she came in and saw me sleeping, I'd just leave her to read and do her homework? Didn't you say that theoretically, the two of us wouldn't have any interaction?

But now someone is knocking on the door right away.

Is it possible that the person knocking isn't that supposed cousin? If it isn't her, should I open the door? If I don't open the door, could something worse happen?

Oh my god!

F001 was completely unable to handle unexpected events.

He quickly contacted Li Lechen through the live streaming system.

However, after calling for more than a minute, there was no response at all.

Indeed, the anesthetic had already taken effect on Li Lechen, making him drowsy and unable to communicate with him.

"Li Lechen!"

Zhou Mi was still knocking on the door from outside.

She called, but Li Lechen didn't answer, so she continued knocking on the door.

Customer F001 was at a loss, unsure whether to open the door.

"Are you inside? Did you faint? If you fainted, I'm calling the police!" Zhou Mi continued to bang on the door.

That was indeed her thought. The reason she came over in the afternoon was because she was afraid that Li Lechen might suddenly faint or have an accident while he was home alone. After all, the tumor in his brain was real, and it had indeed caused him to be in a coma for two months.

F001 really didn't know how to answer. Should he say he didn't faint? Or should he say he did? But if he fainted, could he still speak? But if he didn't say he fainted, he would have to open the door. If he didn't open the door, his cousin might call the police. If the police were called, the consequences would be even more serious, right?

Oh my god, why is my head full of question marks?

Why are all these problems unsolvable?

Why is the exclusive zone so complicated?

After much deliberation, F001 decided to open the door anyway.

"Li! Le!..."

Before she could utter the third word, with her hand still suspended in mid-air, the door was suddenly opened from the inside.

"Are you... alright?"

Zhou Mi stared at Li Lechen as he opened the door and noticed that his expression was somewhat gloomy. She immediately reached out to touch his forehead.

F001 took a step back, dodging Zhou Mi's hand.

He knew he wasn't a real person who had come through the portal; if someone touched his forehead, they would naturally find that he had no body temperature. Even more so, if they got closer, they would find that he wasn't breathing.

Seeing that Li Lechen's expression was off, but he hadn't fainted or anything like that she had anticipated, Zhou Mi felt a little relieved. However, she still complained, "Why did it take you so long to open the door? And why didn't you answer the phone?"

"I just fell asleep," F001 lied.

However, this wasn't entirely a lie, because Li Lechen had told him beforehand that he could just sleep all afternoon.

After saying that, before Zhou Mi could speak, he continued, "I'm still very sleepy, I'm going to sleep."

Then, without looking back, she walked back to her room.

Zhou Mi was stunned, completely unaware of what was going on.

Although Li Lechen was sick, he had been quite lively a few days ago, to the point that Zhou Mi suspected that Li Lechen was not sick at all, or that the illness had no effect at all. But today, he was acting very abnormally.

Realizing this, Zhou Mi naturally couldn't let Li Lechen just lock herself in the room to sleep.

Are you really okay?

Zhou Mi pushed open Li Lechen's door and found him lying on the bed, wrapped tightly in the blanket, with only half of his head showing, and his back to the door.

Number F001 shook his head vigorously.

Even though he was wrapped in a blanket and only half his head was showing, Zhou Mi could still clearly see him.

But Zhou Mi was still worried: "You don't look well. Do you have a fever? Let's take your temperature."

Taking his temperature? F001 was startled. Of course, that wouldn't do! Because he didn't have a temperature, taking it would give him away.

However, Zhou Mi had clearly already turned around and gone to the living room to get the thermometer.

F001 could only take a deep breath, get out of bed, and meet Zhou Mi's gaze as he returned with the thermometer in hand. He said seriously, "I don't have a fever. I feel pretty good right now, just a bit sleepy."

The words seemed fine, but Zhou Mi sensed something was off.

"Taking your temperature won't cause any problems, but you look pale," Zhou Mi said to F001 in a tone that sounded like she was coaxing a child.

F001 still had a stern face: "It's because you disturbed my sleep. I'll be normal once I get some rest."
