Chapter 26 Eyes Like Hooks

She wore a light pink short-sleeved top and a jasmine white silk long skirt.

Like fresh flowers with dew on their branches, they are tender and juicy.

"Go and fetch Granny Dong."

Su Wanwan didn't intend to trouble Lu Xingjian any further, so she instructed Yan Rong to call a strong maid to carry her back to bed.

Because she was unable to move around easily and her two personal maids were not strong enough, she had to ask for help.

The maids never returned.

Su Wanwan, sitting impatiently in her armchair, called out while yawning lazily and elegantly:

Where are they?

Perhaps due to the painkillers, she felt a strange sense of comfort throughout her body and felt very sleepy.

The surroundings were quiet, without the slightest echo.

She turned her head to look at the door and was momentarily stunned.

Lu Xingjian was standing there, quietly watching her.

I don't know how long I stood there.

He had just taken a bath and changed into an ivory-colored, narrow-sleeved robe.

A matching palace sash is gently tied around the waist, outlining broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

Her half-wet hair was tied on top of her head with a jade crown.

He possessed an indescribable elegance and grace, like a banished immortal.

Su Wanwan froze.

My heart is racing uncontrollably.

Lu Xingjian's eyes narrowed slightly, gleaming with a dark light.

Su Wanwan lowered her head to avoid his gaze, her hands tightly gripping her skirt, growing increasingly flustered.

His eyes look dangerous.

Everything is spiraling out of control.

She looked like she was about to fall off a cliff and be smashed to pieces.

The wind was whistling in my ears.

Everything around me seemed unreal.

Only the person at the door, like an unfathomable abyss, was pulling her down, dragging her down with all his might.

But he was just standing there watching her, without moving.

The windows were tightly closed; there was no wind.

She lowered her head, trying her best not to notice him.

He finally moved.

He walked towards her gracefully, step by step, as if stepping on her heart.

A quiet male voice sounded from above: "All ready?"

Yet it seemed like a voice from beyond the heavens.

Her slightly hoarse voice carried tenderness and care.

"Um."

Su Wanwan mustered her courage and looked up at his face, her eyes like a lake filled with spring water.

Lu Xingjian stared at her watery eyes, his expression calm.

"I'll carry you back."

The sound was low, husky, and deep; it was very pleasant to hear.

Su Wanwan bit her lip, her eyelashes trembling gently like butterflies spreading their wings.

My mind is getting slower and slower, and I feel like I'm floating in the clouds.

My chest felt so tight I could hardly breathe, and my heart was pounding violently.

Judging by his appearance alone, he was exactly her type.

Calm and composed, she makes people feel safe.

But she knew that it was just a disguise.

Hasn't she suffered enough at his hands?

He didn't rush to hug her, but instead looked down at her quietly.

Her fair and rosy cheeks were delicate and shy, and her whole body was clean and tidy.

Her injured leg was also covered under the white skirt, with only a few tender and lovely toes showing.

Even her fingernails were pink, like delicate jade, crystal clear, making people's hearts flutter.

He slowly reached out and lifted her up, as if cherishing a priceless piece of porcelain.

His arms were long and strong, and Su Wanwan looked as delicate as a little kitten in his arms.

The delicate fragrance of her hair wafted into his nostrils, and the slightly damp strands brushed against the back of his hand, tickling and tingling.

The moment he picked her up, his calloused fingertips dug into the soft flesh of her waist through the thin fabric.

Suddenly, my mind exploded with a "bang".

Something longed for took root and sprouted in my heart, its tendrils stretching wildly, breaking through the cage of reason, tightly binding my heart, and blooming into dazzling and alluring flowers.

Blood rushed to the top of my head, and all I could hear was the sound of blood gushing through my ears.

Su Wanwan's nostrils were filled with the unique scent of a man, carrying a faint fragrance of ambergris.

She didn't know how she got into bed.

All she remembered was his fingertips gently brushing away the wet hair clinging to her face.

Their eyes met, locked, unable to look away.

Their faces were very close, their breaths mingling.

He asked in a low, hoarse voice, "Does your leg still hurt?"

The voice was soft and pleasant, filled with concern.

Su Wanwan's rationality gradually returned, and alarm bells rang in her mind.

She secretly pinched her thigh, and her eyes immediately welled up with tears, which rolled down her cheeks.

"It hurts, it hurts so much."

Her sweet, soft voice was especially endearing.

Surely he wouldn't bully a patient?

Lu Xingjian's dark eyes were filled with desire, his breathing unsteady, taking in every subtle expression on her face.

Who would believe her nonsense?

Instead, a cold smile appeared on her lips: "Wanwan, you're really naughty."

The woman on the bed was gentle and tender, charming and beautiful.

Fragrant and delicate, soft and tender.

Pure, smooth, soft, and warm.

Lu Xingjian's voice was hoarse: "Wanwan."

His burning lips pressed down on hers.

His long, muscular body, radiating the slight dryness of summer, was taut and stiff.

Su Wanwan felt he was very heavy and whimpered several times as her injured leg started to hurt.

"pain……"

The veins on the man's forehead throbbed.

They were engaged in a fierce internal struggle between being "beasts" and "worse than beasts."

"Where does it hurt?"

His hand withdrew from her waist, moved downwards, and landed on her injured leg, where he rubbed it.

Is it any better?

Su Wanwan nodded repeatedly: "That's it, rub it more."
