Aunt Luo's sweet, coquettish voice carried a hint of arrogance and pride: "What dowry? This belongs to my son Bangrui!"
Su Wanying did not back down, "Xu Bangrui is your son, and has absolutely nothing to do with my sister's dowry!"
Aunt Luo sneered, "Does she, a widow, think she can take all these things with her when she remarries?"
"Leave it to my son Bangrui, so that someone will take care of her in her old age and see her off when she dies. Don't be ungrateful!"
Su Wanying trembled with anger, "You are such an ingrate! My sister respects you as the young master's birth mother, and has never wronged you in terms of food, clothing, or daily necessities. You are on par with her in every way, yet you covet her dowry!"
Aunt Luo's sore spot was hit, and her pretty face flushed red.
"Bah! She couldn't even keep my son's position as heir apparent, what ability does she have to be the mistress of the house?"
"All my efforts to please Xu Pengju have brought me to this point, and she won't even offer a dowry?"
Su Wanwan said calmly, "What, does Aunt Luo want to rule my house and be the boss of my home?"
Aunt Luo was surprised by Su Wanwan's sudden return. A flash of joy crossed her face, and she breathed a sigh of relief. But in the end, she straightened her back and deliberately said:
"Madam, the Xu family won't let you take your dowry with you. You might as well give me some to make a good connection."
Su Wanying quickly walked to the wheelchair, her eyes red as she looked Su Wanwan up and down:
"Sister, what's wrong? What happened?"
Su Wanwan held her hand and comforted her, "It's okay, you're just injured. You'll be fine after a while."
Seeing that her complexion was not bad, Su Wanying felt relieved and began to complain:
“Sister, this Aunt Luo is always eyeing your dowry. She’s come to take things away several times, and I caught her again this time.”
Aunt Luo, acting as if she were a dead pig unafraid of boiling water, stood there rolling her eyes at Su Wanying while her eyes kept glancing at Su Wanwan.
Su Wanwan couldn't help but laugh when she saw that her eyelids were almost twitching.
“If Aunt Luo wants anything, she can just make a list. If I can give it to her, I will give it to her directly. Why make things so awkward?”
Aunt Luo, however, became anxious, hesitated, and finally put her hands on her hips, looking both embarrassed and angry:
“These things all belong to my son Bangrui. Since Madam is so generous, why not give them all to me? Otherwise, the young master might blackmail me, and someone else will benefit from them.”
Su Wanwan frowned. "What is the young master trying to blackmail me about?"
