Chapter 222 Entering the Villa

Li Yu turned around when she heard the horn.

A slightly dilapidated van slowly drove up and stopped in front of the villa.

The security guard inside the gate glanced coldly at the license plate number and then at the driver's appearance.

After carefully examining the area, the security guard leisurely pressed the button to open the gate to the villa's courtyard.

Just as the van was about to drive into the villa gate, the driver's side window suddenly rolled down.

A scruffy-bearded driver leaned out of the car window and shouted at Li Yu:

"Hey! You're the new butcher Brother Lei was talking about, right?"

The driver seemed to have already accepted Li Yu's identity and immediately began to urge them on:

"What are you standing there for at this hour? Get in the car!"

"You're going to be busy today!"

Li Yu stood there stunned for a moment. Before he could even respond, the side door of the van was pulled open with a "whoosh".

Inside, there was a large, fat man who seemed very anxious, waving his hand vigorously to urge Li Yu to hurry up.

Li Yu involuntarily turned her head and glanced again at the security guard who still had a cold face.

The thought of the hassle of communicating with people made him simply climb into the car.

After seeing Li Yu get into the car, the fat man pulled the side door shut, and the van drove into the villa's courtyard.

"Meow—!"

Li Yu had just sat down when a shout suddenly came from behind her.

Curious, he turned around and saw that a snow-white sheep was tied up with a rope in the back of the van.

The poor sheep seemed to realize something, kicking its four hooves wildly in the air, struggling desperately to break free of its restraints.

However, no matter how hard it struggled, the sturdy rope always kept it firmly tied to the vehicle.

The fat man next to Li Yu ignored the sheep's bleating and instead asked with a kind smile:

"Hello, what's your name?"

"Li Yu".

The fat man laughed heartily and introduced himself:

"Hehehe, my name is Lin Han, but they all like to call me Hanzi."

The driver in front also seemed to have suddenly started talking non-stop:

"You two better listen up, today is Miss Zhao's birthday! The guests here are all very wealthy and influential people! We both need to be careful and make sure nothing goes wrong."

The driver continued excitedly:

"This is a really big deal. If it goes through, we'll be rich."

Immediately afterwards, the driver solemnly instructed Lin Han:

"Fool, we're counting on you today! Even if it means using up all your superpowers, you have to complete this mission, understand?"

"Um."

Faced with the driver's expectant gaze, the simpleton casually uttered a sound.

Judging from his somewhat perfunctory attitude, he seemed a little absent-minded.

Lin Han was not happy about the big business the driver mentioned.

"You idiot, I'm talking to you!"

The driver spoke again, raising his voice involuntarily.

"Make sure all those young people are satisfied. Stop focusing on your sheep; it's not going to die anyway!"

After saying that, the driver looked at Lin Han through the rearview mirror, as if waiting for a reply.

Lin Han then replied reluctantly and listlessly:

"I understand, Uncle Lin."

Driver Uncle Lin shook his head helplessly, muttering to himself:

"This child, you get upset when I say a few more words to you."

Amidst Uncle Lin's incessant nagging, the van drove directly into the villa's backyard.

"We've arrived. Get out of the car." Uncle Lin was the first to open the door and get out.

Lin Han warmly reached out and opened the side door for Li Yu, who then got out of the van.

His gaze was immediately drawn to the exquisite and beautiful house before him, its magnificent appearance resembling a dreamlike castle.

Without a doubt, Zhao Deyang's daughter should be living there.

While pondering, Li Yu suddenly realized that there was no rain in the backyard.

He looked up and saw a huge, transparent rain shelter that looked like a giant protective umbrella, covering the entire backyard.

In the backyard, there were flowerpots of various colors, and Li Yu had never seen the plants in them before.

Li Yu walked around the van and found that a large barbecue grill had already been set up in the middle of the yard, with a pile of charcoal and various seasoning bottles and jars next to it. Obviously, this was the reason why Lin Han and his driver Uncle Lin had come here.

Just then, Uncle Lin seemed to remember something and quickly returned to the van.

After rummaging around for a moment, he took a white outfit from the car and put it on, then took a tall white hat from the car and put it on his head, all the while urging:

"Honest guy, hurry up! The people inside will be eating soon!"

"knew."

Lin Han pouted unhappily and slowly took the sheep out of the van from the back.

Uncle Lin came to the barbecue grill and kept talking to Lin Han:

"Fool, you know, these rich people are really strange."

"Instead of eating the meat of exotic beasts rich in energy, they choose to eat this rare Central Plains short-legged sheep."

"I've racked my brains but I just can't figure it out. Aren't those extremely expensive exotic beast meats more nutritious than this sheep?"

As Uncle Lin spoke, he skillfully lit the charcoal in the barbecue grill.

At this moment, Lin Han had already placed the plump sheep on the ground.

Then Lin Han turned around and went back to the van, bent down, and reached inside to take out a strangely shaped knife.

Upon closer inspection, Li Yu discovered that a strange beast crystal core was embedded in the hilt of the knife.

As Lin Han pressed the switch on the knife, the energy from the crystal core instantly adhered to the knife, making it even sharper.

Uncle Lin glanced at Li Yu, who was still standing there in a daze, and said with a hint of reproach:

"You child, don't you have any sense? Hurry up and come help!"

As he spoke, Uncle Lin spread out a large piece of plastic on the ground and moved the sheep onto it, then continued to call out to Li Yu:

"Come here, come and hold the sheep down."

Hearing Uncle Lin's call, Li Yu came over and helped Uncle Lin hold the sheep down.

Since this short-legged sheep from Zhongzhou wasn't very large, Li Yu and his companion didn't need to exert much effort to control it.

Looking at the tiny sheep in front of him, Li Yu couldn't help but feel a little puzzled.

'How can such small sheep be enough to feed so many people?'

Judging from the cars parked in the yard and the noise coming from inside the villa, there were definitely quite a few people inside.

Uncle Lin held down the sheep and directed Lin Han:

"Fool, hurry up."

"To taste its freshest, most tender and juicy flavor, it must be cut live!"

"Be quick."

Lin Han took the specially crafted knife, which was also inlaid with a crystal core, and with a heavy heart, he cut directly into the short-legged sheep.

"Meow—!!!"
