The beast in the middle angrily raised its head and looked around.
But they were fleeing for their lives, and the beast leader only had time to quickly glance around.
Having found no enemy, it could no longer care about its dead companions and could only continue running desperately.
"We did it!" Fu Xiyao shouted excitedly from the side.
She could clearly feel three strange beasts lying motionless in the rain.
"Go quickly."
Li Yu hurriedly mounted his horse and pulled Fu Xiyao up with him.
The two rode Little Black at full speed after the fleeing herd of strange beasts.
Soon, the corpses of three enormous strange beasts appeared before them.
"Go over there and collect the blood of the strange beasts."
Li Yu pointed to one of the strange beasts, then jumped off his horse and walked towards the other one.
He had already taken out the small bottle he had prepared.
"Okay."
Not to be outdone, Fu Xiyao rummaged through her bag and pulled out a small bottle, then ran off towards the other beast.
After Li Yu finished receiving the message, he went to the third beast, only to find that it had already bled almost all of its blood.
"Hey, just hang in there a little longer."
Li Yu looked regretful, but still reluctantly took out his machete and skillfully began searching inside the beast's body.
"Found them." Li Yu discovered two pale yellow alien beast crystal cores.
"There are two here too."
Fu Xiyao responded happily, her small bottle already filled with beast blood and two beast crystal cores.
Each of the strange beasts has two pale yellow crystal cores inside its body, for a total of six.
"Six crystal cores and two bottles of exotic beast blood—a very fruitful haul!"
Li Yu put away his spoils with satisfaction, and then turned his gaze to the enormous body of the strange beast.
"We can't waste the beast meat," Li Yu said, brandishing his machete and cutting off chunks of beast meat.
He then took out the food storage container and said to Fu Xiyao:
"Pick out the best parts."
Li Yu threw another piece of meat from the beast's thigh in front of Xiao Hei.
"Little Black, eat quickly."
"Wow, this piece of meat is huge!" Fu Xiyao exclaimed as she filled the jar with pieces of the exotic beast meat.
"It's full." Fu Xiyao turned to Li Yu and shouted as soon as she started loading.
Even with only the lean meat portion, the jar was quickly filled.
"This food storage container is too small; it can't even hold the meat of a single beast." Li Yu shook his head. It seemed the container needed to be upgraded as soon as possible.
But everything needs to be upgraded, and Li Yu was already getting anxious just thinking about it.
Looking at the two remaining intact beast corpses, Li Yu's face showed a helpless expression.
"There's too much meat from the alien beasts. I never thought I'd have so many prey."
This was also the first time he had encountered a situation where there were too many prey to take them all with him.
Li Yu securely tied one of the fat beast's legs to the horse's back, deciding not to take the meat from the remaining two beasts.
“Someone’s coming, uh…” Fu Xiyao’s voice suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong?" Li Yu turned her head, looking puzzled.
"It looks like a child." Fu Xiyao felt it was somewhat familiar, but there was a hint of uncertainty in her voice.
"A child?" Li Yu's curiosity was piqued, and he stood there waiting for a moment.
Before long, a little girl came running towards them.
The little girl completely ignored the two of them and rushed straight towards the carcass of the strange beast that Li Yu had just slaughtered and dissected.
To Li Yu and Fu Xiyao's astonishment, the little girl plunged headfirst into the beast meat and began to devour it.
It's her.
Upon seeing the little girl, Li Yu suddenly remembered:
"It's that little girl who kept attacking Zhang Biao's group."
He also remembered that the little girl seemed to possess some kind of special ability; she was an awakened being.
Looking around, Li Yu noticed that the little girl no longer seemed to have those followers with red eyes.
Li Yu couldn't help but feel a surge of surprise; she hadn't expected that this little girl could survive all by herself.
Looking at the little girl's pitiful appearance, Fu Xiyao fell silent.
She knew in her heart that the rules of survival in this world were cruel, and they couldn't help everyone they met.
But a barely perceptible hint of sympathy still lingered in her eyes.
Li Yu put the jar away and then packed the bottle back into place.
After finishing packing, he looked at the little girl and sighed.
Then, turning to the little girl who was eating meat with gusto, he said:
"Eat slowly, don't rush, all these strange beasts are for you."
After saying that, Li Yu and Fu Xiyao mounted their horses and continued westward.
Hearing the sound, the little girl stopped wolfing down her food and looked up at the departing figures of Li Yu and the other girl.
Then, the little girl turned her head to look at the two intact monster corpses beside her, a flash of red light passing through her eyes.
We've just walked a short distance.
Xiao Hei felt the added weight on its back was quite heavy, and a strange beast's leg was digging into its rear.
Little Black was not happy at all, and ran extremely slowly.
"Little Black, hurry up!" Li Yu urged, squeezing the horse's belly hard.
At this rate, it can't even keep up with the migration of displaced people.
Xiao Hei remained unmoved, walking slowly and ignoring Li Yu's orders.
Helpless, Li Yu could only take out a leopard-like beast's crystal core from his inner pocket.
"Look, what is this?"
Li Yu tempted him, then handed the crystal core to him and waved it around.
Little Black's eyes lit up immediately. It quickly turned its head and swallowed the crystal core in one gulp.
