Chapter 5 Bait, Giant Beast and Wild Dogs

A hundred meters behind Li Yu, the six scavengers who had been following him suddenly realized that Li Yu had disappeared from their sight.

"Boss, they seem to have sped up."

"Trying to run? Go after them!"

The leader of the scavenging team didn't care whether Li Yu was cheating or not, and could only speed up their advance.

He hadn't seen a woman in a long time, let alone a woman who had left the group.

"We absolutely cannot let her get away," the captain urged again.

"Whoever catches that woman can drink and eat meat and have a good time."

Upon hearing their captain's words, excitement shone in their eyes.

He quickly walked ahead, eager to be the first to catch the other person.

They completely forgot about the threat posed by the bow and arrow in Li Yu's hand.

Li Yu, who was squatting on the ground, peeked out slightly and watched the six people approach, roughly measuring the distance with his naked eye.

Once within 70 meters, Li Yu picked up his bow and arrow, nocked it, and aimed at the person walking in front.

Sure enough, the aiming circle, as big as a washbasin, reappeared.

Li Yu drew back the bowstring, and the aiming circle slowly shrank.

After a five-second aiming period, the aiming circle was firmly locked onto the first person's chest.

"Whoosh!"

The arrow flew out instantly, swiftly cutting through the rain, and pierced the chest of the person at the front.

The man felt a chill in his chest, and when he looked down, he saw that the arrow had already pierced most of his chest.

Then a pitiful scream came from afar.

Upon seeing his team member get hit, the scavenging team leader immediately dropped to the ground, not caring that the rain would soak the clothes under the waterproof cloth.

"Damn it, it's so accurate."

Looking at the blood flowing in the rain and the increasingly weak screams in front of him.

The captain knew this man was definitely not going to survive.

His expression was unusually serious at this moment; he hadn't expected Li Yuzhen to be so capable.

He was so skilled with the bow and arrow that he killed a man with a single shot.

The horrific scene beside them made the others pause in their tracks and come to an abrupt stop.

Fear continued to spread, after all, no one wanted to become the second target.

While the group hesitated, Li Yu had already set his sights on another person.

As Li Yu released his grip again, another arrow came flying in.

Although the arrow was shot from a high angle, it still struck the second man precisely in the chest at an extremely tricky angle.

The man looked terrified, a sharp pain shooting through his chest. He gripped the arrow with both hands, trying to pull it out.

Suddenly, his body lost all strength and he collapsed limply to the ground.

"Excuse me!" the scavenging team leader cursed angrily.

In just over ten seconds, two members of his squad had already died.

They had initially suspected that Li Yu had accidentally shot the scavenging team leader, but now they were finally afraid.

"It's a case of pretending to be weak to take advantage of others! There are still people pretending to be weak to take advantage of others these days!"

Although the captain kept cursing, he still kept observing the surrounding situation out of the corner of his eye.

The surrounding environment was so flat that there were almost no obstacles.

Even with the rain, the situation was completely unfavorable to them.

They were practically easy targets for the enemy.

Although the remaining four still had a chance to rush in and take down Li Yu, the fear of death prevailed.

"Retreat immediately!"

The scavenging team leader shouted to the remaining survivors, then immediately turned and fled for his life.

Upon hearing this, the remaining people scattered and fled.

They were terrified; even without the captain's order, they planned to run away.

Watching the arrow fly out, it once again accurately struck the second person in the chest.

At this moment, Li Yu finally understood the power of a 100% hit rate.

Although Li Yu aimed the arrow at the opponent's chest just now.

But when the arrow was shot, he deliberately raised the angle of the bow and arrow slightly.

Logically, an arrow shot like this shouldn't hit the opponent, but it still struck the opponent's chest.

Li Yu was overjoyed.

This means that he no longer needs to observe the wind direction, nor does he need to calculate the trajectory and landing point of the arrow.

All you need to do is wait for the aiming circle to shrink before firing the arrow, and you're guaranteed to hit the target.

"They ran away." Seeing the other party scatter and flee, Fu Xiyao ran over happily.

"You're amazing!" At this moment, Fu Xiyao's gaze towards Li Yu completely changed.

Li Yu did not immediately lower his guard. Instead, he waited until the group had completely disappeared before stepping forward and firing another arrow at the two motionless figures on the ground.

Only then did they slowly approach the two bodies and go forward to examine them.

After some trial and error, aside from some tree roots and grass roots, the only thing that was somewhat useful was the rainproof cloth on my body.

Although the tarpaulin was old and had holes punched in it.

But compared to the tattered rainproof cloths that Li Yu and Fu Xiyao are currently wearing, this is already considered complete.

After searching for a while, they only found two rusty daggers.

Li Yu initially looked down on the rusty weapons, but then thought about the possibility of encountering a scavenger team with whom he could trade.

Li Yu reluctantly picked up the rusty dagger, thinking that he might be able to exchange it for some bottles later.

Aside from that, there was nothing else of value on the two corpses.

The blood on the ground quickly spread with the rainwater.

Li Yu retrieved the arrow and then noticed that a number of rain crows had already flown in from a distance.

They stood in the heavy rain, just staring at Li Yu from afar, seemingly with no intention of getting closer.

Upon seeing the rain crow, Li Yu's eyes suddenly lit up.

So Li Yu took out the dagger again and made several large cuts on the corpse.

The wounds on the corpse continued to widen, and the stench of blood immediately filled the surrounding air.
