Surprisingly, the rain continued to fall as usual, the raindrops hitting the cloak without stopping, as if passing through an invisible barrier.
Even the refugee awakeners shrouded in the huge cloak did not notice anything unusual.
An Chao glanced at the black bracelet again; the coordinates indicated that Young Master Ao was nearby.
"It must be here." Dark Tide maintained the protective barrier, reminding Abyss Shark:
"Hurry up, ten minutes at most."
Abyss Shark's lips curled into a confident yet cruel smile as he arrogantly declared:
"I understand. Five minutes is enough. I don't believe anyone can withstand being 'drowned' without saying a word."
"My methods of torturing people have never failed me."
The Abyss Shark swung its chain scythe, and the mutated corals parasitizing the chain scythe immediately bared their fangs and claws, as if they could already sense the impending bloody slaughter.
Now that the massive cloak of dark currents was maintained in the sky, the Abyss Shark no longer needed to hide its form.
He tugged at his tightly bound cloak, revealing the collar underneath, and strode out openly and magnanimously.
The instant Abyss Shark ripped off the cloak's restraints, a refugee Awakener with sensory abilities twitched his nose and immediately detected something amiss:
What does it taste like?
The Abyss Shark instantly appeared in front of him, grinning to reveal sharp teeth, and replied with a mocking smile:
"It smells like the deep sea; I'm afraid you've never smelled it before."
He deliberately took a deep breath and then slowly exhaled, making the nauseating deep-sea smell even stronger, seemingly carrying the stench of decay and the stench of death from the deep sea.
The members of the Seventh Regiment, who were responsible for guarding the strange beast of Prince Ao, were instantly shocked. They immediately raised their guns, their fingers tightly gripping the triggers, and looked warily at the strange man who had suddenly appeared.
Abyss Shark glanced disdainfully at the refugees carrying guns, a strange smile appearing on his face.
He said to the third-tier refugee awakener at the very front:
"I'm asking you, where is Young Master Ao?"
Abyss Shark's voice was deep and resonant, leaving no room for negotiation:
"If you know what's good for you, you'd better tell us right now, or you'll all die."
The third-tier refugee awakener, instead displaying a fearless courage, aimed at the Abyss Shark and loudly retorted:
"Who are you? What do you do?"
Then, he winked at the people behind him.
The refugees understood immediately and slowly retreated, clearly to call for backup.
Abyss Shark's face instantly darkened, and his eyes turned fierce:
"I'm asking you, not the other way around."
He silently observed the petty actions of these low-level awakened individuals and said disdainfully:
"Go ask for help? It's useless. You trash would just be sending reinforcements to your deaths."
Abyss Shark raised his kusarigama, which rattled in his hand like the scythe of death beckoning.
He stepped forward and once again coldly threatened the third-tier awakened individual:
"You only get one chance. I'm asking you one last time."
He paused, then asked loudly, enunciating each word clearly:
Where is Young Master Ao?
The third-tier refugee awakener instantly felt an immense fear envelop him.
He immediately realized that there was a huge gap between himself and his enemy, whose strength was unfathomable.
But without hesitation, he immediately chose to fire.
"Bang!" The gunshot echoed in the rain.
He knew that guns couldn't actually hurt the other person, but the noise would definitely attract more attention.
Strangely, the gunshots disappeared rapidly after traveling only a dozen meters, as if absorbed by an invisible black hole, plunging into silence.
Abyss Shark looked at the bullet he had easily caught in his hand, a smile playing on his lips.
"It seems you have chosen death."
After saying that, his aura only slightly erupted, but his entire demeanor had completely changed.
A powerful sense of oppression pressed down on the surroundings like a mountain, its strength directly overwhelming everyone.
The refugee awakener also unleashed his aura, but it was only around the third rank.
But his gaze was fixed on the Abyss Shark. Even though he knew he was no match for it, he would not give up easily.
Abyss Shark almost burst out laughing at this sight: "What? You want to make a move?"
His gaze was filled with disdain and mockery, as if watching ants making futile struggles.
At the same time, the few refugees who had just retreated ran back, their faces filled with terror, and said to the third-tier awakened one:
"The surrounding area is sealed off by supernatural powers; we can't get out!"
"Could it be a barrier?" the third-tier Awakened One calmly analyzed.
"Go and see how many people are still inside the barrier, and gather them all together."
Although his voice trembled slightly, it still revealed a sense of composure and command ability.
Yuansha impatiently interrupted the other party: "No need to go. Just tell me where Young Master Ao is, or you will all die."
"I don't have that much patience to waste on you guys."
A powerful energy rapidly gathered above their heads, pressing down like a jack, simultaneously knocking all the refugees to the ground. They lay there, their bodies pinned down, unable to move an inch.
"Speak!" Abyss Shark roared.
With a few cracking sounds, their bones were crushed, and the excruciating pain and ruptured internal organs caused several refugees to vomit blood continuously.
Blood stained the ground, mixing with the rainwater.
"This is just a small punishment. Tell me the answer, and I will spare your lives." Abyss Shark said without a trace of emotion.
"Dream...dream!" The third-tier awakened one lying on the ground was still able to speak.
