Mu Chenshuang frowned slightly as she stared at Fu Junheng. "You've taken the wrong medicine."
Fu Junheng looked at Mu Chenshuang with dark, golden eyes and said in an annoyed tone, "You call Nan Zhi so affectionately, don't you know I'll get jealous?"
He made no attempt to hide his jealousy.
"You get jealous just from calling someone by their name, so if I see you calling some other rich girl or princess, should I get angry too?"
When he kissed her just now, she could clearly sense that he was venting his emotions; he was truly a possessive and domineering man.
Fu Junheng's thin lips curled into a smile that could captivate all beings. He leaned closer to Mu Chenshuang and said in a low, husky voice, "I'd really like to see you jealous, Shuang'er."
Mu Chenshuang turned her gaze away and cursed, "You're sick."
The man's breath fell softly on the woman's fair cheeks, intimate and tender. "I am indeed sick. I've fallen ill with lovesickness after just one night apart from you."
Mu Chenshuang looked up, and the man's exquisitely handsome face was deeply imprinted in her mind. His golden eyes, with a soft halo, were like a deep sea, almost drowning her in them.
A woman's unintentional moment of blankness appears both cute and playful.
Looking at her slightly flushed cheeks and unfocused pupils, Fu Junheng's initial displeasure vanished instantly.
Her infatuation, her shyness, her cuteness—only he could possess them all.
"Shuang'er, if you keep looking at me like that, I'm afraid I might not be able to resist doing something to you right now?"
The words were spoken.
Mu Chenshuang suddenly came to her senses. She had actually been infatuated with the man. She felt annoyed and ashamed, as if the man had caught her red-handed.
"Who's looking at you? Stop being so narcissistic."
As soon as Mu Chenshuang turned her head to the side, her cheek was cupped back, and the man's kiss came again, making the woman in his arms feel dizzy and disoriented.
When he released her, Mu Chenshuang could only gasp for breath and glare at the man.
Fu Junheng smiled contentedly, "You're just saying that."
Back at the Marquis's residence.
Fu Junheng carefully helped Mu Chenshuang down from the carriage. Mu Chenshuang turned to look at him and asked, "Are you going in?"
Now that Lord Mu is back, she's no longer in charge.
Fu Junheng took the woman's slender, delicate fingers in his hand, his expression gentle. "Shuang'er, aren't you planning to stay here with me?"
"I think it's better if you wait here by yourself."
Fu Junheng sighed, looking hurt, "What if the Marquis sees me and sends me away? Aren't you going to put in a good word for me?"
Mu Chenshuang then retorted jokingly, "You are the Crown Prince, a guest of honor of His Majesty the Emperor, while my father is merely a marquis. How could he possibly drive you away?"
Fu Junheng's thin lips curled up, "Of course, after all, the Marquis knows that I have my eyes on his daughter, so he will definitely try to guard against me."
"You really do have self-awareness."
The two chatted intimately, and from a distance, they looked like a perfect couple.
The only woman who could stand so well-matched beside a prodigy like Fu Junheng is Mu Chenshuang, a woman of refined elegance and poise.
Just then, a voice called out.
"Snowfall".
Upon hearing this, Mu Chenshuang looked in the direction from which the sound came.
Mu Chunxi was leading the horse when the guards saw this and quickly stepped forward to take the horse from her.
Mu Chunxi walked towards the two of them, her gaze falling on Fu Junheng. Her eyes showed only respect and reverence, with no other emotions visible. She curtsied and said, "This humble woman greets Crown Prince Junheng."
The gentle light in Fu Junheng's golden eyes vanished, replaced by a cold indifference and aloofness that seemed to have never existed before.
