Shen Nanzhi looked at Mu Chenshuang and explained, "There's been a bit of a problem at the West Central Camp. I'm going to investigate."
Mu Chenshuang's heart trembled. The Xizhong Camp was previously under the command of Marquis Mu. After Marquis Mu left the capital, it was temporarily managed by the Vice Minister of the Left. Fu Junheng stared at her. "Shuang'er, you should know this." His voice was hoarse, as if he was trying his best to suppress some kind of emotion.
"I remember telling you that from the moment our relationship became public, Shen Nanzhi and I were just friends, nothing more," Mu Chenshuang explained calmly.
Fu Junheng knew, of course, that even though she and Shen Nanzhi hadn't done anything and had only met a handful of times, there seemed to be some kind of inseparable connection between them. The way they spoke and the way they exchanged glances made him very uncomfortable.
It seemed that if he relaxed even slightly, she could reconcile with Shen Nanzhi, and this strong feeling made him very uneasy.
He just stared at her, watching her calm demeanor, the fire burning within him finding no outlet.
Suddenly.
The man reached out and grabbed the back of the woman's head, unexpectedly capturing her lips in his mouth and kissing her fiercely, conquering her completely like a siege. He held her tightly, his strength as if trying to merge her into his own bones and blood.
Mu Chenshuang did not resist, but the man continued to kiss her forcefully until her body went limp. Only then did Fu Junheng slowly release her, their noses touching, their rapid breaths mingling together.
After a long while, the intense atmosphere gradually calmed down.
"Shuang'er, I'm just afraid that one day you will leave me."
Mu Chenshuang lowered her eyes and said weakly, "If I really leave you, someone as domineering as you will have to do anything to bring me back."
Fu Junheng's golden pupils were dark as he lifted the woman's chin with one finger. "Shuang'er, you're right. I will do it. How can I allow another man to have you?"
Mu Chenshuang smiled, her eyes alluring and seductive, "So just don't do anything that will make me hate you."
A barely perceptible glint flashed in Fu Junheng's eyes as he spoke, "Never!"
Mu Chenshuang smiled and said, "That's good."
