The man suddenly exerted force with his palm.
Mu Chenshuang couldn't help but raise her head slightly, let out a muffled groan, and her body instantly tensed up like a string.
Fu Junheng slowly buried his head in the woman's neck, a strand of long hair casually draped over Mu Chenshuang's chest. He took a long, deep breath and exhaled softly, his deep, seductive voice slowly saying, "I can grant you anything you want, as long as Shuang'er says that you have fallen for me and love me."
Mu Chenshuang tilted her head back, clearly feeling the warmth coming from her neck. She heard every word he said clearly.
For quite a while.
Fu Junheng did not hear any reply from Mu Chenshuang, and he knew very well in his heart that he would not hear the answer he wanted.
A brief silence.
All that could be heard was Fu Junheng's sigh. He slowly raised his head, sat up straight, withdrew his hand, and released the woman from his grasp.
"There will come a day when I will bring him to you."
Mu Chenshuang closed her eyes, her expression calm and composed. She didn't ask him anything more, sat up, stood up, and slowly walked a few steps forward with her back to Fu Junheng.
"No need. I don't want to know who he is anymore. He wants the child in my womb. Please tell him that it's absolutely impossible. As for who I'm with, he has no right to ask. I'm not a plaything to be manipulated."
As she spoke, she slightly turned her eyes to the side, glancing behind her, and her gaze suddenly turned cold.
Fu Junheng's eyes darkened slightly.
Mu Chenshuang withdrew her gaze. "As for that hairpin, there's no need for Crown Prince Junheng to trouble you. Farewell."
Without pausing, Mu Chenshuang strode towards the door.
Fu Junheng sat on the edge of the bed, unmoved, his handsome face cold and indifferent, his eyes dark and unfathomable.
Mu Chenshuang rode away alone.
On her way back to the Marquis's residence, she had no idea what was weighing on her heart, so much so that she was so lost in thought that she didn't realize she was being watched.
call out!
An arrow was shot directly at Mu Chenshuang's vitals.
Just as the hidden arrow approached, Mu Chenshuang instantly sensed the sudden killing intent. Her eyes sharpened, and she nimbly turned to the side, the hidden arrow passing straight past her with a gust of wind.
Immediately afterwards.
Several arrows shot in from all directions.
Mu Chenshuang tore open her outer robe with one hand, and the robe spun rapidly in her hand, forming an invisible barrier that deflected the incoming arrows back intact.
Sudden.
The man in black jumped down from the roof and attacked with a sword. Mu Chenshuang turned around and dodged the attack. In the instant she did, she struck the man in black in the chest with a palm strike and took the sword from his hand. Then, she kicked the man in black behind her away with a quick and accurate kick and landed steadily on the ground.
A cold wind howled, carrying with it a strong sense of murderous intent in the silent night.
"Who sent you?" Mu Chenshuang asked sharply.
A man in black said, "The one who will take your life."
Mu Chenshuang's eyes darkened, revealing a fierce glint in them. She gripped her sword, her fingers tracing its blade. The smooth, mirror-like surface reflected her murderous gaze. "If you don't talk, you'll all die here today."
The voice, cold as ice, echoed like a vengeful ghost in the silent night, its aura chillingly cold.
The men in black around them exchanged glances and then launched a joint attack.
Amidst the flashing blades, Mu Chenshuang gripped her sword, her inner strength surging from its blade. The sword danced and swirled, and streaks of white sword energy scattered with her movements. The black-clad men who rushed forward were severely wounded by the sword energy and sent flying to the ground.
However, when a man in black seized an opening in the sword energy and attacked from the other side, a pebble suddenly pierced his chest, blood spurted out, and his body crashed to the ground, dying with his eyes wide open.
The man in black sensed something was wrong. He saw a black figure slowly emerge from the darkness into the moonlight. The figure had silver hair that made him look like a god, but it exuded a bloodthirsty aura that was more terrifying than the Grim Reaper.
They couldn't even handle Mu Chenshuang, let alone now that there's an even more terrifying person in the mix.
"withdraw!"
The remaining men in black fled as if they were flying away.
With a flick of her finger, Mu Chenshuang sent a fragrant powder accurately flying into the waistband of the leading man.
The surroundings fell silent again, and a faint smell of blood filled the air.
With a loud clang.
Mu Chenshuang threw the sword in her hand to the ground.
Sudden.
A large hand grasped hers from behind, a warm sensation washing over her. A deep, gentle voice asked, "Are you hurt?"
Without the slightest hesitation, Mu Chenshuang withdrew her hand, took a step forward to create distance between them, and said indifferently, "You're not injured."
Fu Junheng did not press further. "I'll escort you back to your residence."
Mu Chenshuang did not refuse, but her horse had already run away in fright.
