The Empress raised an eyebrow, her face showing disbelief.
"real?"
Cang Xixue nodded and then began to explain.
"Everyone here is a witness; what I have said is not false."
The Empress breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. Although her expression had softened, she still did not believe what Cang Xixue had said.
The mother and son had long been in cahoots. Not only would she side with the daughters here, but even the current emperor would favor Cang Xixue in the face of the situation.
"In that case, you may get up."
Just then, a young eunuch placed a bowl of ginseng soup on the table.
"Your Majesty the Empress, Your Highness the Imperial Concubine, this is ginseng soup that has just come out of the Imperial Study."
Upon hearing this, Chen Quan walked over, picked up a spoon, stirred it in the mixture, and then nodded to the two ladies.
Empress Shen Biyun was angry and stepped forward without saying a word, going straight to the table.
She stirred the soup with a spoon, then spoke.
"You may all leave."
After speaking, the Empress carried the ginseng soup to the Emperor's bedside, intending to give it to him.
Just then, Cang Xixue spoke.
"Your Majesty, shall I do it for you?"
The Queen shook her head.
"You've worked hard these past few days. Now that I'm here, I can take over for you over there, and you can go back and rest."
Cang Xixue frowned slightly, hesitated for a moment, and then asked again.
"Thank you for your kindness, Your Majesty, but I will take care of serving His Majesty."
The emperor lay on his dragon bed with his eyes closed, not saying a word, as if he were asleep.
Cang Xixue's insistence made the Empress very uncomfortable.
"What? After the Imperial Noble Consort has stayed here for two days, does that mean I'm not allowed to get close to the Emperor?! It's only been a few days, and the Imperial Noble Consort is already trying to ride roughshod over me?"
Cang Xixue looked panicked and quickly spoke.
"Your Majesty, please forgive me. I had absolutely no such intention. I am deeply grateful. However, this ginseng soup has just been cooked and needs to be left to cool for a while before Your Majesty can consume it."
The Queen nodded, scooped up a spoonful, blew on it, and waited for the ginseng soup in the spoon to dissipate.

The Empress took the spoon and was about to feed it to the Emperor.
Cang Xixue looked very nervous.
"Wait!"

The Queen grew impatient and scolded.

Cang Xixue was truly at a loss for words, unsure of what to say. Just then, the Emperor, who was lying on the dragon bed, opened his eyes.
"Empress, let the Imperial Noble Consort feed me! The Empress is so angry, she probably won't be able to calm down and serve me."
The Empress looked at the Emperor in disbelief, her expression turning to one of surprise and delight.
"Your Majesty, you have awakened! This is wonderful! It is a blessing for our dynasty and for all the people!"
The Emperor spoke.
"I have just woken up myself."
The Imperial Noble Consort hurriedly walked up to the Empress and took the ginseng soup from her hands.
