After Mu Chenshuang got ready, she went to Qi Ye's room.
Seven nights spent soaking in the bathtub, surrounded by steam and the rich aroma of Chinese medicine filling the room. The Chinese medicine brewed in the bathtub helped stabilize the mind and emotions.
Mu Chenshuang walked up behind Qi Ye and asked, "Are you ready?"
Qi Ye sat cross-legged inside the tub and nodded in response.
"This time, we cannot guarantee that you will fully recover your memory, but depending on your recovery progress, you will need at least three acupuncture treatments."
"I know."
Mu Chenshuang didn't say anything more. She picked up the silver needles that were placed aside and inserted them into the acupoints on Qi Ye's head. With each needle, Qi Ye's brows furrowed more. Blurred images kept flooding into his mind: fighting, screams of pain, flashing swords, and blood staining the sky.
When these images flooded his mind like a tidal wave, it was like a wild beast trying to devour him; he even wanted to escape.
Qi Ye gritted his teeth, his body began to tremble, and his face grew increasingly pale.
Seeing that Qi Ye's condition was not right, Mu Chenshuang promptly stopped the needles, activated her spiritual energy, and covered Qi Ye's head with her palm. As a stream of energy flowed into his mind, his emotions gradually stabilized.
Mu Chenshuang withdrew the silver needles, looked at Qi Ye who was breathing rapidly, and asked, "Did you see anything?"
Qi Ye hung his head, his ink-black hair cascading down, the ends damp and clinging to his chest. He raised one hand to cover his eyes, his breath becoming weak. He shook his head, his mind suddenly blank, like a tangled mess, leaving him unsure where to begin.
Seeing his condition, Mu Chenshuang didn't ask any more questions. "That's enough for today. You can soak for a while longer. Get a good rest tonight, and you might have your memories tomorrow morning."
Qi Ye nodded.
After packing her things, Mu Chenshuang left the room. As soon as she stepped out, she saw Linglong waiting outside with a food tray in her hands, and she looked worried.
"Miss, how is Qi Ye?"
Mu Chenshuang smiled faintly and replied gently, "He's fine, you don't need to worry."
Linglong breathed a sigh of relief and didn't ask any more questions. "I'll help Miss wash up."
Mu Chenshuang saw through her thoughts, and she had no mind to serve her now. "Go in and check on Qiye. I'm going out in a bit."
Linglong was taken aback. "Miss, where are you going? Will it be dangerous to go out?"
Mu Chenshuang reassured her, "Go to your appointment, it's alright."
Linglong was stunned for a moment, but quickly realized that her young mistress could only be going out at night with Crown Prince Junheng.
"Go in!"
After urging them on, Mu Chenshuang turned and left, leaving the two of them alone.
Linglong looked into the room, her fingers tightening slightly as she held the food tray. After hesitating for a moment, she stepped into the room. When she saw the scene before her, she saw a man with disheveled hair in the bathtub, half of his chest exposed. His wheat-colored skin made him look even more powerful and sexy. His handsome features appeared even more mysterious and profound under the mist, and he had lost his usual roguishness, gaining a gentle and handsome air.
As Linglong watched, her heart pounded uncontrollably in her chest, and her cheeks began to flush.
Qi Ye looked up and saw the woman standing not far away, motionless, her face flushed. He suddenly reached out and grabbed the edge of the bathtub, and said with a teasing smile, "You can see clearly from so far away, do you want to stand a little closer?"
Upon hearing these teasing words, Linglong's cheeks flushed instantly. In the past, she would have definitely retorted and run away, but now, for some reason, she wanted to escape but also wanted to stay.
She said irritably, "Fine, I'll look."
She strode forward and stood beside the bathtub. She placed the food tray on the wooden table next to her. After setting it down, Linglong stood still, head bowed, looking as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.
Qi Ye glanced at her, concealing the roguishness in his eyes, and asked, "You have something to say to me."
Linglong paused for a moment, then turned to look at him. "What did you remember?" she asked casually, but her tone was unusually serious.
Qi Ye looked at her, a sly glint in his eyes, and beckoned with his finger, saying, "Linglong, come here!"
Linglong was taken aback, unsure of what Qiye was planning. She walked forward in a daze and stood beside the bathtub.
Immediately afterwards.
Her wrist was suddenly grabbed by a strong force.
With a splash, water sprayed everywhere, and Linglong cried out in surprise as Qiye pulled her directly into the wooden tub.
"ah!"
Linglong struggled fiercely, and when she regained her balance and stood firm, she said angrily, "Qiye, what are you doing?"
Qi Ye smiled teasingly, "I didn't do anything, I just felt that you seemed to like me, so I'll let you take a bath with me."
Linglong's heart sank suddenly. Looking at him, who resembled a prostitute soliciting customers in a brothel, she felt humiliated and angrily said, "Who likes you? Don't flatter yourself!"
