As Mu Yazhi spoke, she walked up to Lord Mu and knelt down, perfectly putting on a show of deep regret.
Lord Mu waved his hand irritably, about to speak, when Mu Chenshuang's voice suddenly came over.
"It is a great virtue to admit one's mistakes and correct them. Since you know you are wrong, then repent properly and don't worry your father anymore."
Upon hearing this, both Mu Yazhi and Lu Wei were stunned.
Mu Yazhi looked completely bewildered.
He had only said those words to please Lord Mu, but why did Mu Chenshuang go along with them?
"To know one's mistakes and be able to correct them is of utmost importance." What does this mean?
Does Mu Chenshuang intend for me to continue living here?
He had risked half his life to get out of there, and now all his efforts had been wasted because of what she said.
Swallowing hard, Mu Yazhi stared at Mu Chenshuang in disbelief.
What do you mean by that?
"You should be asking yourself that question. You keep saying you know you're wrong, but you should at least set an example. Otherwise, even the maids and servants in the manor will look down on you."
