Qi Ye remained expressionless, exuding a cold and aloof aura. After solemnly bowing to Mu Chen Shuang, he turned and left.
Watching Qi Ye's retreating figure, Linglong frowned slightly, looking preoccupied.
Mu Chenshuang could sense Linglong's thoughts.
Feeling that Qi Ye had already gone far away, Mu Chenshuang turned to look at Linglong.
"What's wrong? Aren't you happy that Qi Ye is back?"
It would have been better if Mu Chenshuang hadn't asked that question. Upon hearing Mu Chenshuang's question, Linglong's eyes immediately reddened, and her voice became choked with sobs.
“Miss, I feel that Qi Ye has changed. Maybe it’s because he’s thinking about those things from the past. I feel that he’s very scared now.”
Linglong was telling the truth; she wasn't exaggerating at all.

Mu Chenshuang slowly stood up and spoke leisurely.

"No matter what Qi Ye went through in the past, it is a part of his life. If you decide to be with Qi Ye, you have no choice in these matters."
"This is just a process. As Qiye's memories become more complete, he will change more and more. However, I believe that Qiye's nature is still good."
After Mu Chenshuang finished speaking, Linglong's tears began to fall.
At first, Linglong thought that what happened between them and Qiye was the whole story, but as time went on, Linglong increasingly felt that she was only a small part of his memories.
This feeling left Linglong feeling lost and bewildered.
That deep sense of loss almost filled Linglong's entire heart.
However, after hearing what Mu Chenshuang said, Linglong felt that she was just worrying unnecessarily.
She loves Qiye, the whole person, not just a small part of him.
Taking a deep breath, Linglong spoke with a thick nasal tone.
“Miss is right. There are some things I can’t choose. If I choose this person, I have to accept everything about him, the good and the bad.”
After saying this, Linglong smiled.
Mu Chenshuang reached out and gently poked Linglong's forehead with her index finger.
"You, your mind works faster than anyone else's, yet you still make me say these comforting words to you."
Linglong felt embarrassed by what Mu Chenshuang said and whispered, "Miss, it's not what you think. If you hadn't said that, I might not have known what to do."
"Alright, now you know what to do, right? You're allowed a short break. Go!"
Before Mu Chenshuang could finish speaking, Linglong froze, completely bewildered.
Taking a step forward, Linglong cautiously asked.
"Miss, why do you want me to rest?"
"Are you asking a question you already know the answer to? Of course, it's to give you and Qiye time to spend together, isn't it?"
Upon hearing this, Linglong's face turned bright red, her cheeks as red as apples.
"Miss, please don't make fun of Linglong. It's enough for Linglong to stay by your side."
