Chapter 415 You really don’t know how to play
On a sailboat next to La Ciotat Pier, Xiao Peng was lying on the deck, holding a fishing rod, drinking beer and humming a little tune, looking very leisurely.
"Xiao, what happened to you?" Fabian missed a step when he was getting on the boat. If Walter hadn't grabbed him, he would have almost fallen into the sea.
"Damn it!" Fabian cursed.
Xiao Peng looked up at Fabian who threw him a can of beer and said, "Have a beer to calm your nerves."
Fabian frowned and said, "Xiao, what's wrong with you? You were having a great time on the yacht that day. I saw you even wanting to hug two girls when you went to the bathroom. Why are you like this now?"
Xiao Peng yawned, "I just feel bored. You said I can't wait to hug two girls when I go to the bathroom? It should be that girls always rush in when I go to the bathroom! What's wrong with me these days? I'm still me. The only change in the past two years is that I'm rich. When I didn't have money, girls would avoid me when they saw me, but now that I'm rich, girls are desperately trying to get close to me!"
After hearing this, Fabian did not answer directly but opened the can, and the white foam inside sprayed all over his face.
Xiao Peng laughed so hard at this scene that he almost fell off the sun lounger. He had been shaking the can of beer for a long time!
Fabian was confused and a little angry at first, but when he saw Xiao Peng laughing so happily, he was silent for a while, and suddenly burst into laughter.
Deborah, who was cutting fruit in the cabin, saw the two men laughing so hard and asked Bruch, who was sitting nearby, puzzled, "Bruch, why are the boss and the others laughing so happily? Why are you laughing here too? What's so funny about that?"
Bruch spread his hands and said, "A man's happiness is just that simple."
Deborah curled her lips and said, "I really don't understand it. To me, this is just stupid!"
Bruch curled his lips at Xiao Peng and said, "Go tell the boss that they are stupid and see what he says."
Deborah shook her head vigorously. "I'm not going to tell you! But you can tell he's genuinely happy. The boss wasn't that happy even when he was surrounded by all those girls on the yacht."
Bruch said, "Of course, compared to the sense of accomplishment of pulling off a successful prank like this, being followed around by a bunch of 'guys and bastards' is not a happy experience at all."
Deborah curled her lips after hearing this and said, "Isn't it fun to be surrounded by so many girls?"
Bruch nodded. "How can I explain this to you? Men! They're so difficult! Things that are too easy and lack any challenge won't excite a man. Men are only happy when they feel a sense of accomplishment!"
"Ugh!" Deborah clearly didn't believe Bruch's words. "Who was that person on the yacht that day who couldn't take his eyes off those girls?"
Bruch's desire to survive instantly exploded: "Beautiful woman? Was there any beautiful woman on the yacht that day? Oh, it's all your fault. Ever since you were born, everyone looks ugly to me!"
"Hey, you have such a sweet mouth!" Deborah said, "What if..."
Before she could finish her words, Bruch interrupted her: "No ifs! Even though the boss has never been in a serious relationship, people who read a lot are sometimes different. He made a very good point the other day. He said that many arguments between men and women start with 'what ifs'. Women are born to fantasize, and their favorite topics are: what ifs, what ifs. They think about stupid questions like 'If your mother and I fell into the sea at the same time, who should I save first' in their minds all day long. Why bother setting a relationship on fire for something that may not happen in the future? So, in order to make the relationship last, resolutely avoid topics like 'what ifs'!"
Deborah curled her lips and said, "It seems you don't love me anymore..."
"Pfft!" Bruch spat out blood. "Before you said that, I really loved you. After you said that, I was really shaken! What's that phrase the boss always says? 'Don't act like that!' Isn't it better to live a good life?"
"Good for you! You're like this before we even get married. I can imagine how you'll treat me in the future!" Deborah said angrily, but her voice was a little loud, so Xiao Peng outside heard it. It was he who saved Bruch: "Deborah, is the fruit ready? Ask Bruch to help bring it out!"
"Okay, boss! I'm putting the dishes on!" She lowered her voice and said to Bruch, "I'll settle the score with you tonight! Don't come into my room from now on!"
Bruch curled his lips and said noncommittally: "Give me the plate, the boss asked me to take it out."
But Deborah said, "Where can I go with such a small sailboat? Don't I have to go on the deck?"
The two of them went to the deck while arguing with each other, carrying the fruit plates.
Xiao Peng and Fabian had stopped laughing at this time. They tilted their heads and looked at the two of them. "Walter, remember to remind me next time not to go out without these two people! I thought I was bringing them out to relax, but it turns out that these two people are causing trouble!"
"No!" Bruch shouted. "Boss, how am I going to get my bonus if I don't go out to sea? And how am I going to buy Deborah a gift without my bonus?"
Deborah also became anxious: "Boss, we are not quarreling, we are in love!"
"Romance?" Xiao Peng shook his head after hearing this: "Seeing the 'romance' between you two has only made me more determined not to fall in love."
Deborah heard this and asked curiously, "Boss, there's something I've been wondering about. I saw you having a blast on the yacht the other day, and I thought you were going to keep going and indulge for a while. But why are you so much more passive now? You don't usually sit on the boat and fish every day!"
Xiao Peng sighed after hearing this. "Deborah, let me be honest with you. I'm really annoyed by those women. Every single one of them has their own agenda written all over their eyes. I feel like I'm letting myself down by hanging out with women like them."
Deborah shook her head after hearing this. "What a shame. When you were on the yacht the other day, I thought you had the potential to be a scumbag."
Xiao Peng gave Deborah the middle finger: "Don't talk about scumbags! If I'm a scumbag, what about those women on the yacht that day? Women have reasons to be scumbags, but men are just scumbags by nature. Aren't there many men who are hurt by women these days? It's just that men don't go around complaining and grumbling like women do, feeling ashamed. As a result, it seems like there are only scumbags in the world, but no scumbag women. Don't laugh at each other. These days, whether it's a man or a woman, they're all just a bunch of idiots competing with each other - they're all the same!"
Fabian then asked, "So you plan to be alone for the rest of your life?"
Xiao Peng smiled and said, "We'll talk about the future later. Let's not think too much about it now. It's better to live well now than to worry about the future! I'm still young and can afford to be single. Besides, what's wrong with being single? I spend my own money and can have fun however I want!"
"But the problem is: you don't play now!" Fabian sighed.
