Chapter 619: Her Account Is My Fault

Chapter 619: Her Account Is My Fault

The lady was very unhappy about being interrupted: "What? Do you think the tip is too little? Can't you see we are discussing something very important?"

The waiter hurriedly shook his head: "Ma'am, you misunderstood. I came to tell you that your card has been frozen!"

"What?" The lady was stunned after hearing this: "This is impossible!"

"Ma'am, I'm telling the truth!" The waiter handed the bank card to the lady with both hands. "I don't want to bother you with something like this. How about you try another card?"

The lady took the bank card and impatiently took out her handbag. She took out another bank card from her wallet and handed it to the waiter: "Use this card!"

Watching the waiter leave with the bank card, the lady smiled slightly and said, "I'm going to seriously consider switching banks. This incident tells us: Don't put all your eggs in one basket."

The young man smiled and nodded.

"This is my first time in this shop. I've never liked the decor here. This neoclassical style doesn't suit our German aesthetic. I prefer Baroque or Rococo styles. I used to prefer drinking at Derbyshire House or Bismarck's Wind," the lady said. "Of course, the wine here is quite good. It's well-preserved, which is commendable. The sommelier here is excellent. I wonder if I could hire him to serve me at my house."

After hearing this, the young man lamented the lives of the rich. They thought that if the wine was good, they would hire people just to serve them. Shouldn't the quality of the wine be determined by the wine itself? What does the sommelier have to do with it?

All I can say is that you can do whatever you want if you have money.

He thought this in his heart but did not express it. He smiled and said, "Thank you so much for bringing me here to taste wine. I could never have imagined such an occasion."

"What's the big deal? It's just a couple of drinks. We'll go to the Orania-Berlin Hotel later. I like the performances in the bar there." The lady smiled.

After hearing this, the young man started to smack his lips again. How much does it cost to stay at the Orania Hotel for one night?

Thank God, thank my parents, for giving me this handsome face, and for making such a rich woman like me. A good life is waiting for me in the future!

The method they taught me really worked. I signed up for a membership at a high-end gym, and sure enough, there were lonely young women waiting for me. And they were all high-quality—and by "high-quality" I mean not in terms of looks or figures, but in terms of wealth! How many years of hard work could I save by being with a wealthy woman like that?

At this moment, the waiter came back again: "Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you again."

"What's the matter?" asked the lady.

The waiter handed the bank card to the lady with an apologetic look on his face: "Ma'am, your card has been frozen too!"

"That's impossible!" The lady raised her voice after hearing this: "Did you make a mistake somewhere?"

The waiter shook his head. "I'm sorry, I hope this is just a misunderstanding. We've tried this many times!"

"Is there something wrong with your machine?" asked the lady.

The waiter shook his head: "We have tried it, everything is normal!"

The lady frowned, took out her wallet from her handbag and said, "I'll go with you to take a look, you wait here!"

She said the following words to the handsome boy.

The handsome young man nodded in agreement, but as soon as the lady left with the waiter, he rolled his eyes and stood up to leave. What if this woman really had no money? Would he be in trouble with her here?

I really can’t afford to spend less than 20,000 yuan!

But what's the saying? 'A thief never leaves empty-handed,' right? The handsome young man glanced at the table. The lady's handbag was still there. He took the bag and walked out while no one was paying attention.

As soon as he left the bar counter, he heard an argument: "This is impossible! My cards can't all be frozen! There must be something wrong with your machine."

Her voice was quite loud, attracting everyone's attention. Someone impatiently made a 'hush' gesture to her: "Madam, please don't make any noise, no matter what."

The lady wanted to refute after hearing this, but she took a deep breath to control herself and then said gracefully: "I think there must be some misunderstanding here. So, can I call my husband?"

The waiter smiled and said, "Of course!"

Although he had a smile on his face, he was complaining in his heart: Calling your husband? What for? To pay for you and your lover's expenses?

Rich people really know how to have fun! They say nine out of ten rich people are psychopaths. I used to think that was an exaggeration, but I didn't expect it to be so true!

"My phone is in my bag, I'll go get it." said the lady.

The waiter smiled and nodded: "I'll go with you."

The lady had no choice but to take the waiter back to her table. As soon as she got there, she was dumbfounded: "Where is the person with me? Where is my bag?"

The waiter shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe your companion took it away!"

"How could you let him go?" the lady was anxious.

The waiter was also aggrieved: "Ma'am, we don't know what your relationship is, how could we stop him? After all, you came here together. What if you asked him to leave?"

"How could I let him take my bag and leave? This is the first time I see him today!" The lady shouted without caring about making any noise.

The waiter said helplessly: "Ma'am, if you have any questions, you can ask the police to handle this matter. But now, please pay the bill first."

"How can I pay the bill? My bank card has been frozen!" the lady shouted!

The waiter spread his hands and said, "I'm sorry, ma'am, but because your bill is so high, we have no choice but to contact the police to handle this matter!"

"Damn it!" the lady snarled. "It's only 20,000 yuan. How can I not afford it? Do you know who I am? I'm 'Princess of Hedingen' Esther Friedrich! My husband is Prince Wolfgang von Friedrich of Hedingen."

The waiter smiled and said, "Ma'am, we are a republic now. Even if you are a princess, you still have to pay for your purchases! Can you pay the bill? If not, I will contact the police and help resolve the issue of your stolen bag."

Now it was the lady's turn to choke. Call the police? Let everyone know about their family scandal? Although she and Wolfgang didn't care about each other, what would happen if others found out? She had just revealed her family's identity in a fit of rage, and now she regretted it so much!

Just as she was getting anxious, someone next to her said, "What's wrong with the Republic? Are we going to forget our ancestors and culture just because we have a republic? This lady's bill is on me."
