Chapter 898 Walter is afraid of seeing the boss’s wives
While visiting Dublin is a must, the Trinity College Library is a must-see. It's truly unique in the world. It houses over 200,000 books, many of which are Irish national treasures, including the Book of Kells, Ireland's most valuable book.
However, it has now lost its original function and has been converted into a place for tourists to visit. Even if teachers and students of Trinity College want to read the books here, they must submit an application before they can read them.
But now, the entire Trinity College Library has been suddenly closed and no one is allowed to enter. Many tourists who came here because of its reputation left disappointed. I heard that this process will last for a long time!
There were people sitting at the door chatting idly.
"Boss, do you regret coming back now?" Khedira asked.
Walter said: "I think it's pretty good. It's really strange. I really hated this feeling when I was at sea, but when I got off the boat, what I thought about most was life on the boat. Damn it, the bed didn't shake anymore, but it was uncomfortable to sleep on! Getting used to this thing is really terrible! Besides, it's not the first time I've accompanied the boss to read a book, I'm used to it."
Khedira said, "Boss, you won't be here for a year or two, right? Let me do the math. Let's assume he reads a book every two minutes, eight hours a day. It would take him more than half a year to finish reading all the books here, right?"
Walter said, "Don't worry, the boss won't read for that long. He will only read selectively. He always says that if you can't tell the truth from the false when reading a book, it's better not to read it. So he should be able to come out in less than a month. Wasn't that what happened in Belarus?"
Khedira said: "Aren't you going to make a movie? Why haven't you done anything yet? I was hoping to see myself on the big screen!"
Walter replied, "Ireland is taking this very seriously. They've asked Jim Sheridan, the Irish director of 'In the Name of the Father' and 'In the Name of Love,' to write and direct it. It's quite a feat for a 70-year-old man to want to shoot a movie at sea. And now there's a problem with the casting."
"What's the problem with the casting? Is there no one to play the role?" Khedira asked puzzledly.
Walter sighed and said, "It's not that there are no actors, it's just that there are too many choices."
“Too many choices?”
Walter nodded. "This time, the Irish side said they wanted a big production. That means they wanted big-name stars. I just realized that at least half of Hollywood has Irish ancestry! They showed the boss a list, and I took a look too. Wow, the likes of 'Iron Man' Robert Downey Jr., 'Captain' Chris Evanson, 'Rocket Raccoon' Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Liam Neeson, and more are all of Irish descent! They're all on the shortlist."
Khedira's eyes lit up when he heard this: "Oh my god! What about the female stars? Aren't there many female characters?"
Walter spread his hands and said, “There are too many to count! Almost all the big-name white actresses are there.”
Khedira took a deep breath and said, "So many? Who will come then?"
Walter shook his head and said, "How should I know? We're casting right now. One of the conditions the Irish agreed to with the boss was that he could freely read the books of Trinity College Church. It seems the Irish have done their research on the boss and know how to cater to his preferences."
Khedira looked envious: "Boss, can these big-name movie stars come?"
Walter spread his hands: "Why not? They are not having a good time now."
"Not having a good time? What do you mean?" Khedira said.
Walter said helplessly, "Khedira, don't you usually pay attention to entertainment news? Did you watch this year's Grammy Awards? How many white people were there? Even the audience alone accounted for less than one-fifth! If there are no black characters, and they must be the main characters, do you think this movie can be released in the North American market? Although I don't have any racism, how many of our colleagues in the army back then were black? They were all good soldiers! But now it's too much and it's disgusting!"
Khedira, however, seemed to have not heard Walter's words, and his face was still full of longing. Suddenly, he slapped his forehead and said, "Boss, is Rihanna coming? Her relationship with the boss..."
Walter blinked: “Shouldn’t it be?”
But he himself wasn't sure about the tone of his voice.
"Forget it. If she really comes, it will only be a headache for the boss and has nothing to do with us!" Walter said, "Khedira, can you think of something useful? Even if a bunch of beautiful women come, their target will be the boss!"
Khedira smirked, "The boss is really into misogyny right now. He's got the three boss ladies so scared of women now! It's strange, we've been making quite a bit of noise here, so why haven't the three boss ladies come yet?"
Walter slapped Khedira on the head: "I wish they wouldn't come, why do you still want them to come?"
"Huh?" Khedira was stunned. "Boss, why do you sound like you don't want to see the boss ladies?"
Walter almost cried after hearing this. He lit a cigarette and took a puff and said, "Don't mention it! The boss and they had a quarrel that day. I was there, right? In the end, I couldn't stand it anymore, so I scolded the boss's wife."
"Ah?" Khedira was stunned: "You scolded them?"
"It's not really scolding. I just couldn't stand it so I taught them a lesson. I told them to act up as much as they want. After all, I only have one boss, and you may or may not be the boss's wife!" Walter said.
"Pfft!" Khedira laughed. "Boss, you always tell us that we bodyguards shouldn't interfere in our employer's family affairs. What's wrong with you?"
Walter sighed and said, "If you hadn't reminded me, I would have forgotten that we are bodyguards! Maybe the main reason is that I like this job too much. I'm afraid that if the boss and the boss's wife reconcile, the boss's wife will tell the boss about this and whisper in his ear, and I might lose my job!"
"Oh, that won't happen. I think you did a good job and what you said is right!" At this moment, Xiao Peng's voice came from behind the two of them.
"Boss?" Walter and Khedira turned around at the same time: "When did you come out?"
"You just mentioned how you educated Abby and the others," Xiao Peng said. "That was a good education! What's with 'If you love me, don't reason with me'? What about them? Are they responsible for making trouble? Okay, let's go eat!"
"Eat? You don't want to read?" Walter asked puzzledly.
Xiao Peng sighed deeply. "Don't mention it. I just read some secret stories about the British aristocracy back then. I need to wash my eyes—they're so damn dirty!"
