Chapter 1, Teaching Assistant
"Youyou, over here!"
As soon as they entered the classroom and were still looking around, their roommate Li Yanyan got up and called them over. Without hesitation, the two of them grabbed their books and followed the crowd up the steps.
"Why are there so many people today?" Zhang Youyou looked around. The spacious classroom was packed. Was the finance department that popular?
Li Yanyan gestured for them to sit down, then leaned over and whispered, "I heard that the teaching assistant who came with the professor today is young and handsome. Everyone's here to see him!"
"Teaching assistant?" Zhang Youyou was full of questions. When did their old professor start taking on teaching assistants?
"Yeah, yeah, I heard he's a PhD, that's pretty impressive!"
Zhang Youyou scoffed dismissively. A young and handsome PhD teaching assistant? Did he think she was a three-year-old?
Bored, Zhang Youyou flipped through her book to glance at what she was going to learn that day when she heard the classroom door open, followed by a burst of excited noise. Curious, Zhang Youyou looked up and saw a man wearing silver-rimmed glasses, a white T-shirt, and black casual clothes walk in. She almost screamed when she saw his face.
How could it be him?
The visitor was none other than Li Donghao, the eldest grandson of the Li family, who had a long-standing family relationship with Zhang Youyou's family. Of course, he also had another identity: one of the candidates for Zhang Youyou's future husband. The other candidate was his younger brother, Li Dongshuo. This is a rather dramatic story, which I will tell you later. Right now, the most important question is: how did he become their professor's teaching assistant? Wasn't he pursuing a doctorate?
etc!
A PhD? Young? Handsome? How could she not have thought of that? Good heavens, he's become their professor's teaching assistant, how is she going to ask for leave now? Won't he know all her exam scores?
Thinking about having to study under his nose for the next four years, Zhang Youyou regretted listening to his grandfather's advice to apply for a finance major.
Seeing her shove her head into the desk drawer, Li Yanyan and Liu Ping quickly pulled her out and reminded her, "Are you planning to shove yourself in there?"
Zhang Youyou looked at them with a bitter expression, but didn't say anything.
To be honest, she didn't want to squeeze herself into the desk drawer, she wanted to squeeze herself into a crack in the ground. It was terrifying, more frightening than a horror movie.
You see, back in school, when they encountered a problem that neither she nor Li Dongshuo could solve, they would rather call the teacher than knock on his door. Even though he was a very good student and skipped a grade, his cold aura always made them feel breathless. For the sake of their own safety, they basically didn't bother him.
However, reality is cruel, and they can't escape it by simply not bothering each other, especially her. Because she's bad at science, every winter and summer vacation is like hell. Every time this happens, she drags Li Dongshuo along, since he's one of her future husband candidates, and they'll suffer together if they have to. Unfortunately, his science is much better than hers, so she's always the one who suffers the most. So every time she gets scolded, she beats up Li Dongshuo. Later, when they both encounter a problem they can't solve, Li Dongshuo will take the initiative to ask Li Donghao for help, and then teach her when he gets back.
Zhang Youyou thought this kind of life would end completely after the college entrance examination, but little did she expect that he was waiting for her here. Just thinking about living in this environment for four years made Zhang Youyou want to beat up Li Dongshuo, but unfortunately he was far away at H University, so she could only beat him up during the winter break.
Zhang Youyou bent down, almost lying on the table, and looked at the podium through the gap between two classmates. Seeing that he was just sitting silently in the corner listening to the lecture, Zhang Youyou was slightly relieved. He probably hadn't noticed him.
The professor's voice was strong and clear, and his handwriting on the blackboard was neat and orderly. However, most people in the classroom were still focused on Li Dongshuo, but he seemed oblivious, continuing to listen attentively and occasionally helping the professor prepare PPTs and organize materials.
Zhang Youyou watched silently, praying in her heart that he would only appear this once.
