Chapter 103, Confession
After all that, she still didn't consider him as a potential candidate, and Li Donghao suddenly felt that his thoughts were somewhat ridiculous.
Zhang Youyou sat there, looking at his tense face, not daring to breathe loudly. Even though the heating was on, why did the house always feel so cold?
Zhang Youyou rubbed her hands together involuntarily, and after hesitating for a long time, she timidly said, "I won't disturb your normal friendships, and you shouldn't disturb mine either, okay?"
She's already been very accommodating; if he still gets angry, there's nothing she can do.
Suffocating, Zhang Youyou felt like she couldn't breathe. Just as she was plotting how to escape, Li Donghao, who had been silent for a long time, finally raised his head and looked at her. His tightly pursed lips parted slightly, and his voice was low and hoarse.
He said, "Have you never considered me as a potential marriage partner?"
Zhang Youyou's tangled hands stopped, and she stared into his eyes as if she had lost her hearing.
What did he say?
"open……"
Before Li Donghao could say anything more, Zhang Youyou stiffly stood up and walked awkwardly toward the second bedroom, saying as she went, "I'm tired, I'm going to sleep now, goodnight."
Lee Dong-ho couldn't help but laugh at her awkwardness. Was his confession really that hard to accept?
Only after the door closed did Zhang Youyou breathe a sigh of relief, but her heart was still pounding wildly; she was nervous and panicked.
What did Li Donghao just say? Was that a confession? No way! Who would confess like that? But if it wasn't a confession, what did his words mean?
"Ouch~~~" Zhang Youyou covered her ears with both hands and paced back and forth in the room. Before she could finish the sentence, she remembered that Li Donghao was still in the living room, and she immediately shut her mouth.
Good heavens! What is all this about?!
Zhang Youyou paced around the bedroom for a while before finally throwing herself onto the bed. Looking at the ceiling, she said to the little dinosaur lying beside her, "Longlong, I think I have hysteria. What should I do? Should I tell Mom and Dad?"
Unfortunately, the little dinosaur couldn't give her the answer.
Zhang Youyou rolled over and hugged the little dinosaur to her chest, recalling Li Donghao's words, a blush creeping up her cheeks.
The next day, Li Donghao was worried that his confession the day before had hurt Zhang Youyou, so he thought about how to ease the tension between them. He got up early to prepare breakfast for her and wrote an apology. However, he waited for her for a long time but she didn't come. With the departure time approaching, Li Donghao finally couldn't help but knock on her door. However, there was no response. Li Donghao had a bad feeling. He turned the doorknob and the door opened easily. He looked around and found that Zhang Youyou was no longer in the room.
Unlike before, the curtains were open and tied with ribbons, the quilt was neatly folded and placed at the head of the bed, even the dolls on the bed were arranged, and even the ornaments on the table were as neat and uniform as if they were in military training. However, all the things she usually used were gone.
Is she trying to completely sever ties with herself?
Li Donghao stood there, somewhat regretting his impulsiveness last night. But if he didn't speak up, what would he do if she really ended up with Meng Xiao?
Regret and no regret were intertwined in his mind. Looking at the breakfast on the table, Li Donghao lost his appetite, covered it up, grabbed his bag and keys, and went out. However, what followed was the most difficult part.
If he wasn't in their class every day, Li Donghao couldn't find Zhang Youyou at all. She wouldn't answer his calls or reply to his WeChat messages. Even when he sent messages in the class group, she would just obediently write "received" like everyone else. Li Donghao later regretted being so rash back then, but he also felt that if he didn't say anything, he might lose her completely—although that's still the case now, at least he let her know his feelings.
Teacher Jiang handed Li Donghao a piece of chocolate as he sat in a daze.
"Eat up, something sweet will lift your spirits!"
Lee Dong-ho stared at the chocolate in front of him for a moment before reaching out to take it and asking curiously, "Do all girls like to eat chocolate?"
After thinking carefully for half a minute, Teacher Jiang replied, "It depends on the person. Some people like milk tea too!"
Li Donghao looked at her blankly, and Teacher Jiang burst out laughing.
