Chapter 14, Reminder
The supermarket was crowded on the weekend. Li Donghao pushed the shopping cart, his eyes constantly following Zhang Youyou. When she walked away, he would hurriedly call her back or reach out to grab her. If he could, Li Donghao really wanted to learn the art of being in two places at once, so that Zhang Youyou wouldn't "let go and disappear."
However, Zhang Youyou, the person involved, was completely unaware and continued to linger in the snack area.
"Nuts are good for the brain, red dates are good for the blood, spicy strips are delicious, hawthorn is good for the appetite..." Listening to her nonsense, Li Donghao only came to one conclusion: This girl is craving something again.
Back home, snacks were always plentiful, so she only ate them occasionally. But everything was different at university; it was normal to crave them. Li Donghao didn't stop her, letting her fill the shopping cart. After paying, he loaded the snacks into the car and went back to buy groceries. This time, Zhang Youyou obediently followed him, not saying a word.
When they passed the liquor section, Li Donghao put another case of mineral water into the shopping cart. Seeing her lingering in the beverage section, he asked her to take a few bottles of drinks, saying that she would drink them herself. He also asked her to recommend a few flavors. So Zhang Youyou happily took a few bottles of her favorite drinks and put them in.
Lee Dong-ho couldn't help but laugh at her smug expression. Even at her age, she still couldn't hide her feelings on her face.
The two returned with a trunk full of stuff. Because there was so much, they even had to ask the butler to help them move it twice. When the butler saw all the snacks, his eyes reddened. He patted Zhang Youyou's head and said, "My Youyou has suffered!"
Li Donghao ignored their grandfather-grandson affection and went to the kitchen with the vegetables, where the butler grandpa went to help.
"Uncle Qi, you go and rest. I can manage on my own!"
"No need, look how happily those two are chatting, I'd better not be a third wheel!" Uncle Qi laughed, breaking the celery stalks apart one by one, glancing at Li Donghao's profile and cautiously asking, "Is Youyou doing well at school?"
Li Donghao was washing the meat and placed it on the cutting board after washing it. Hearing Uncle Qi's words, he subconsciously replied, "It's alright, I haven't heard anything about her."
After saying that, as if he had thought of something, he added, "With her like that, it's one thing if others don't suffer a loss, but who would let her suffer a loss?"
Uncle Qi laughed after hearing this, but seeing that Li Donghao was off guard, he subtly suggested that he take good care of Zhang Youyou, make sure she wasn't wronged, and contact her often. Li Donghao agreed to everything.
They enrolled Zhang Youyou in this school so that someone could take care of her. Even Li Dongshuo's application to the same school followed hers. If Li Dongshuo hadn't cheated halfway through, the three of them would probably be in the same school.
In the kitchen, Uncle Qi was passing messages to Li Donghao, while in the living room, Grandpa was brainwashing Zhang Youyou.
"There are too many people and too many eyes at school, and the dorms are too small. How will you get used to it? I think Donghao's place is pretty good. Wouldn't it be nice if you lived here and went to and from school with him every day? Or, Grandpa can buy you a car and you can drive yourself to and from school, okay?"
Grandpa always felt that living in the dormitory was a waste of his precious granddaughter's time, but Zhang Youyou was doing very well in the dormitory.
"Oh, Grandpa, my dorm is great, and my roommates are all so kind to me. I can't get up in the morning, so they wake me up every day and take me out to eat. They tell me where to find cheap food around the school. They've taken me to all the places I know since I came here. Grandpa, they're all very nice people, so don't worry!"
That being said, Grandpa was still unwilling to give up, so he compromised and said, "How about this, whenever you don't want to stay at school on weekends, you can come and stay here, okay? Youyou, don't make Grandpa worry!"
Zhang Youyou knew that his grandfather was stubborn, so he could only agree verbally, thinking to himself: Anyway, it's impossible for Grandpa to come every week.
Hearing her say that, Grandpa was a little relieved, but he still told her to go to Li Donghao if she encountered any problems. If he couldn't solve it either, then Grandpa would do it himself. Zhang Youyou hugged Grandpa's arm and kept saying "Long live Grandpa!"
