Chapter 142, Making Trouble
The two entered one after the other. A waiter came over and asked if they had a reservation. Li Dongshuo said no. So the waiter led them to an empty table. As they walked over there, Zhang Youyou, with her sharp eyes, went straight for Ji Yuxuan, who was already seated. Ji Yuxuan was startled when she saw her.
"Zhang Youyou, what are you doing here?" Ji Yuxuan stood up, and the boy sitting opposite her looked at her and then at Zhang Youyou, and also stood up.
"I've come to eat!" Zhang Youyou said happily. "Not only me, Li Dongshuo is here too!" As she said this, Li Dongshuo had already come to her side, smiled at Ji Yuxuan, and Ji Yuxuan couldn't help but blush.
Zhang Youyou glanced at the boy sitting opposite Ji Yuxuan and asked with a smile, "Am I disturbing you?"
The boy shook his head, and Ji Yuxuan said no. Zhang Youyou's eyes lit up, and she casually asked if they could have dinner together. Li Dongshuo knew she was up to something but didn't expect it to be like this, so he quickly stopped her. The boy didn't say anything, but Ji Yuxuan politely said it was okay.
Zhang Youyou said with a wronged look, "I only did this because we're all familiar with each other. Okay, then I won't bother you anymore. You must come and play with me tomorrow!" Before leaving, Zhang Youyou reminded Ji Yuxuan, who readily agreed.
Li Dongshuo pulled Zhang Youyou to the table the waiter had found for them. Their table was two rows away from Ji Yuxuan and the others. Since it was lunchtime and there were many people, it was inconvenient for them to keep looking over, so they could only peek over from time to time.
"Your friend?" Ji Yuxuan had just sat down when the boy opposite her spoke. Ji Yuxuan nodded indifferently.
"Is he a friend or a boyfriend?" the boy asked again.
Ji Yuxuan's blush, which hadn't yet faded, looked even more charming under the light, and her voice became sweet and alluring, "Brother!"
"Okay, I'm just teasing you. That guy seems nice. What's his family's financial situation like?"
Seeing that he kept asking more and more questions, Ji Yuxuan shouted again in dissatisfaction, and the boy finally shut up and ate with her in peace.
Sitting on the other side, Zhang Youyou and Li Dongshuo kept glancing at them. Seeing them chatting happily, Li Dongshuo felt uneasy, but he couldn't cause any trouble, so he could only endure it.

"Otherwise what? Do you expect me to go over there right now and ask her who that man is and what his relationship is with you? Am I crazy?" Zhang Youyou ordered two of her favorite dishes, and after thinking for a moment, she ordered a sauerkraut fish dish and asked the waiter to send it over to Ji Yuxuan's table.
Li Dongshuo looked at her in confusion, while Zhang Youyou gave him a knowing look, picked up the hot water in front of her, and took a small sip.
Ji Yuxuan looked at the pickled fish served by the waiter with great confusion, but the boy across from her laughed. Ji Yuxuan quickly asked what it meant, and the boy looked at the plate of pickled fish and said, "Don't you understand? Pickled fish, it's sour, bland, and superfluous! Hey, you and him really don't have anything going on?"
Ji Yuxuan looked at the plate of pickled fish, unsure of what to say. She glanced timidly at them. Li Dongshuo simply nodded slightly. Zhang Youyou turned around as well, and upon meeting Ji Yuxuan's gaze, immediately smiled and waved.
The boy looked at Zhang Youyou and said with a smile, "This girl is interesting!"
Ji Yuxuan knew her brother's temper well and immediately stopped him, "Don't get any bad ideas, she has a boyfriend!"
"Having a boyfriend and still going out with other men, that's something else!"
Ji Yuxuan's face darkened. "This is her childhood friend, and also her boyfriend's younger brother."
The boy's eyes widened. "My boyfriend's younger brother?"
Ji Yuxuan suddenly felt that the relationship between Zhang Youyou and Li Dongshuo's family was too complicated, but she was afraid of hurting her if she didn't explain clearly, so she had to patiently explain. The boy couldn't help but shake his head. He couldn't believe that there were still arranged marriages in this day and age. It was really bizarre.
I glanced at Zhang Youyou again; she was talking intently to Li Dongshuo, the light shining on her and casting a glow.
