Chapter 162, First Kiss
After dinner, Zhang Youyou wanted to stay overnight, but she hadn't brought any clothes and hadn't told her family yet, so she had to give up.
"Take me back!" Zhang Youyou ordered, sitting at the dining table and watching Li Donghao tidy up.
Lee Dong-ho had some doubts about his own attributes, but since it was his own choice, he had to stick to it.
"When do you plan to move in?" Before being controlled, it's best to find out her plans first.
Zhang Youyou, looking bored, rested her chin on her hand and played with a tissue. "I don't know, my mom is preparing for the New Year, I might have to go with her..." After saying that, Zhang Youyou looked around and continued, "Do you want to decorate this place?"
Li Donghao, who was about to wash the dishes, shuddered when he heard this. He frowned as he thought of his home in F City.
Zhang Youyou, having waited in vain for a response, gave up. Instead, Li Donghao returned from cleaning up the kitchen, rested his hands on the dining table, and stared at her, asking, "How do you want to decorate?"
Zhang Youyou glanced around and said seriously, "It's nothing much, just buying some Spring Festival couplets and the character '福' (good fortune)."
"So, do you want to go with your mom or with me?"
Zhang Youyou didn't notice the problem in his words, and casually said with a quick glance, "Why don't you come with us?"
He silently withdrew his hand, got up to grab his coat, and said without turning his head, "Let's go!"
Zhang Youyou didn't understand why his mood changed so quickly, but she still obediently put on her coat and went downstairs with him.
Li Donghao remained silent the entire way. Zhang Youyou didn't know what she had done to offend him. He didn't speak, and she remained silent as well. It wasn't until they arrived at her building that Zhang Youyou asked him before getting out of the car if he wanted to go shopping for New Year's goods together the next day. Only then did Li Donghao turn his gaze to her. Zhang Youyou felt uncomfortable under his gaze, and her tone became a bit harsh.
"What are you looking at? Are you going or not?"
Li Donghao said helplessly, "Zhang Youyou, I'm your boyfriend now, have you ever seen a couple bring their parents on a date?"
Something seemed to flash overhead, and Zhang Youyou froze.
Li Donghao hooked her chin with his index finger and gently brushed her lips with his thumb. His voice was deep, husky, and seductive. "Zhang Youyou, we're dating, not playing house. Can't you be serious?"
His eyes seemed to possess a kind of magic, drawing Zhang Youyou deeper into them without her even realizing it.
Li Donghao's face drew closer and closer until a faint sandalwood scent reached his nose. Before he could even speak, soft, slightly chilly lips captured his. Time stood still, his heart raced, and Zhang Youyou sat there dumbfounded, his mind a complete blank.
After an unknown amount of time, Lee Dong-ho's fingertips brushed against her lips, a smile that lingered in his eyes.
"Would you like to come back with me?"
There seemed to be a sound in her ear, but Zhang Youyou couldn't hear it clearly. When he approached again, Zhang Youyou suddenly woke up, pushed him away forcefully, frantically ripped off her seatbelt, opened the door, and got out of the car in one go. By the time she realized what had happened, the elevator was almost at her floor. Only then did Zhang Youyou realize that she had just kissed Li Donghao.
Kissing? Does touching lips constitute a kiss? Zhang Youyou didn't understand.
It felt as if his breath was still lingering around her nose and mouth. Zhang Youyou was flustered and confused until the elevator stopped with a "ding" and the doors opened. Zhang Youyou was still a little dazed, but her legs had already stepped out.
When she got home, her mother asked her a few questions, but Zhang Youyou's answers were nonsensical. Fortunately, she recognized her room and went straight back to her room and closed the door. However, she leaned against the door for a long time before she slowly calmed down.
It seems she really is with Lee Dong-ho.
