Chapter 165, Staying Overnight

Chapter 165, Staying Overnight

In the end, she still called and asked to stay at his house overnight. Besides the fact that his pasta was delicious, the main reason was that she had bought too many things and needed to arrange them. Although Zhang Youyou knew that this was just an excuse for Li Donghao to ask her to stay, she really wanted to stay there.

Zhang Youyou looked at him reproachfully. He hadn't stayed overnight before because he hadn't brought any clothes, and he was staying overnight today because he still hadn't brought any clothes. Li Donghao raised his hands in surrender and went to his room to get her a set of clothes.

Zhang Youyou, holding the clothes, asked him if he had bought new clothes. Li Donghao said he had ordered them. Zhang Youyou waved her hand, too lazy to talk to him, but Li Donghao didn't let her go. He pulled her arm and made her look at him.

"Aren't you planning to bring a couple of pieces of clothing with you since you're staying here?"

Zhang Youyou, with her chin held high, said arrogantly, "Shouldn't you be the one buying it for me?"

Knowing that she had agreed, Li Donghao nodded repeatedly and said he would go tomorrow. Zhang Youyou then took her clothes to wash up and said that she wanted the biggest bedroom, to which Li Donghao agreed.

Lying in bed, looking at the ceiling, Zhang Youyou felt particularly relaxed. Although living at home was okay, it was far from as good as living at the Li family's house. After all, the Li family's old house was very large and had good soundproofing, so even if servants passed by, they wouldn't make a noise.

As for Lee Dong-ho, such a big house wouldn't be too noisy with only two people, especially since Lee Dong-ho is a quiet person—except when he bullies her.

Actually, she missed him a lot, but she wanted to keep it a secret. She didn't want to expose herself too early, but it seems she couldn't hide it.

A blush spread from her neck all the way down to her cheeks, and eventually she couldn't stand it anymore, so she simply pulled the blanket up to cover her face.

Li Donghao in the next room wasn't much better off than her.

After a long-awaited good night's sleep, Zhang Youyou woke up and wanted to check the time, only to find that her phone was dead and turned off. Her eyes widened in surprise. She searched both bedside tables but couldn't find a charger. After a three-minute silence, she remembered that this was Li Donghao's house, so she had to get up and look for him.

"Charger!" Zhang Youyou said bluntly when he saw Li Donghao standing in front of the bookshelf.

It wasn't until he turned around that he realized he was on the phone, and Zhang Youyou couldn't help but shrank his shoulders.

"In the room." Lee Dong-ho made no attempt to hide anything, his voice remaining unchanged.

Zhang Youyou said "Oh" and went to his room, grabbed the charger, and went back to his room.

When she finished washing up and came out, Li Donghao had already hung up the phone and invited her to eat.

Zhang Youyou thought he had just spoken to the Li family on the phone and was happily eating steamed buns when he heard him say that he had spoken to his classmates in the lab. Zhang Youyou almost choked.

"Can't you slow down? You always choke or swallow when you eat. Are you a child?" Although she complained, she didn't slow down her actions of rinsing her back with water.

"It's all because you scared me!" Zhang Youyou retorted.

If you're talking to a classmate on the phone, don't speak so loudly to her. What if the classmate hears you and everyone knows that she lives with Li Donghao?

—Except for her roommate.

"What's wrong? Are you scared?" Li Donghao asked, placing his hands on her shoulders and pressing his cheeks against hers.

"Of course not!" Zhang Youyou's rebuttal was utterly weak.

"Oh, in that case, it's alright!" Li Donghao reached out and took a tissue to wipe the soup from the corner of her mouth.

This time, instead of going around to the other side, he sat down next to her, looked at her profile, and said, "Actually, there's nothing wrong with telling people that we're together. At least it will deter those with ulterior motives!"

"What 'someone with ulterior motives'? Your junior from school?" Zhang Youyou thought of his classmate whom he met when he bought the phone.

It was rare to see her jealous, so Lee Dong-ho responded accordingly.

"Her? I suppose she's one of them!"

Zhang Youyou had no appetite and stubbornly turned her head away, only to hear him sneer.

"Just kidding!" A hand draped across the back of her neck and onto her shoulder. "I wanted to ask you, now that you've moved in, shouldn't you prepare some clean clothes, and also, a charger?"

Zhang Youyou then realized that she had nothing here, and her fighting spirit instantly deflated.

"I might have to go home."
