Chapter 26, Brother

Chapter 26, Brother

Lee Dong-ho leaned back on the sofa, casually scrolling through trending topics on his phone. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at Zhang Youyou, who was standing blankly to the side, and asked curiously, "Aren't you tired?"

Zhang Youyou was genuinely scared because he had to change the sofa covers again.

"I'm fine, I can stand." She didn't want Li Donghao to change again.

"If you feel embarrassed, sit more politely!" Li Donghao reminded her, suddenly sitting up and looking at her. "It doesn't matter here, but you must be careful when you go out. You're a girl, you should be polite, understand?"

Li Donghao believes he has a good upbringing, so how did Zhang Youyou go astray?

"As expected of a teacher, he really loves to lecture!" Zhang Youyou muttered to himself as he stood there. Li Donghao gave him a look, and Zhang Youyou immediately shut his mouth and nodded obediently.

Li Donghao was both amused and exasperated.

In the silence, Li Donghao's phone rang. It was the takeout they had ordered. Zhang Youyou wanted to flatter him and go downstairs to pick it up, but when she got to the door to change her shoes, she saw that she was back with her bare legs and smiled very awkwardly.

"I... I think I'm having some kind of inconvenience."

Li Donghao had already stood up, and he had seen everything she did. However, he didn't warn her. Fortunately, she wasn't stupid and knew she couldn't go out like that. He gently squeezed her shoulder with his large hand, then lifted her chin, forcing her to look at him, and said, word by word, "When will you grow up?"

After saying that, he changed his shoes and went downstairs to pick up his takeout.

Zhang Youyou returned to the living room and looked at his hoodie, muttering to himself, "What's with the act of being so profound? He's only seven years older than me, acting like he's been through so much!"

She said that, but when Li Donghao came back with the takeout, she still fawned over him and went to help. Li Donghao didn't know what she was up to, but he knew that what she was trying to do was completely ineffective.

"Wow, it smells so good!" Zhang Youyou couldn't help but take a deep breath of the aroma after untying the bag.

"Go wash your hands!" Li Donghao gently tapped the back of her hand. Zhang Youyou reluctantly went to the bathroom, while Li Donghao went to the kitchen, washed his hands, and grabbed some dishes.

When Zhang Youyou came out, she saw the table was full of food: grilled skewers, rice noodles, dumplings, steamed buns, soy milk, and pizza? What kind of combination was this? Was it a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine, or a combination of a main meal and fast food?

Seeing her lost in thought, Li Donghao handed her chopsticks and reminded her, "What are you looking at? Aren't you hungry?"

Zhang Youyou took the chopsticks and said awkwardly, "I... I don't know which one to eat?"

Lee Dong-ho looked at her expressionlessly and said, "Didn't you order all of these?"

“Dumplings and xiaolongbao are not the same!” Zhang Youyou denied.

Li Donghao nodded, "Okay, I'll eat these two." He was about to reach for his chopsticks when Zhang Youyou stopped him with her chopsticks, making his smile even more fake.

"Brother, brother, good brother, don't do this, I'm not feeling well right now, please be gentle with me!" Force was definitely out of the question, so she could only lower her stance. Little did she know that her "brother" was disturbing Li Donghao's mind, making him feel like he was floating on air.

While he was spacing out, Zhang Youyou simply took a plate of steamed buns and placed a box of rice noodles sizzling with chili oil in front of him.

He was so focused on eating rice noodles that he forgot about his physical condition, and now he had to make do with what he had. However, Li Donghao, lost in thought, didn't notice that his dinner had changed. He picked up his chopsticks and started eating. Li Donghao, who usually doesn't eat these kinds of things, actually finished a whole bowl of rice noodles. Fortunately, Zhang Youyou was grateful and, seeing that he was sweating, gave him two steamed buns from her plate. Li Donghao ate them too, and Zhang Youyou smiled even more happily.

Sure enough, there's no one she can't win over!

Li Donghao ordered dumplings, steamed buns, and soy milk for her. Although he didn't say anything, she seemed to understand and ate them all. So after dinner, only the untouched pizza and a few skewers of grilled meat remained. Zhang Youyou touched her round belly and didn't want to move at all.
