Chapter 44, Apology
Although she was the youngest of them all, Zhang Youyou was the quickest to regain her senses. She nudged Li Donghao and said, "Teaching Assistant Li, could you please take a look at the contents inside?"
Then she said to the girl, "Could you please let Assistant Li check your USB drive?"
The girl, who had studied at the school for a year, naturally knew Li Donghao. She gave him the USB drive, and Li Donghao plugged it into his computer. After opening it and seeing the courseware inside, he called out to Teacher Jiang.
Originally, Ms. Jiang was so angry with Zhang Youyou that she turned liver-colored, but when she saw the USB drive, her face turned ashen. Although there was no name written on the USB drive, the smudged sticker on it told her that it was her child who had put it there. Without even looking at the contents, she knew that the USB drive belonged to her.
Teacher Jiang walked heavily to Li Donghao's desk, looked at the courseware inside, and nodded listlessly.
Li Donghao pulled out the USB drive but didn't hand it to Teacher Jiang. Instead, he asked Zhang Youyou what she planned to do. Zhang Youyou glanced at the USB drive and said, "I want her to apologize!" Not only that, she also wanted to call the counselor to join her. The three of them had sat together to interrogate her before, and now she wanted the three of them to stand together and apologize to her.

About ten minutes later, Zhang Youyou's counselor arrived, looking quite surprised to see them.

Zhang Youyou took Li Donghao's hand and said to the counselor, "Teacher Jiang's USB drive has been found."
Before the counselor could recover from the shock, Zhang Youyou continued, "This student found it in the classroom."
The counselor looked at the girl curiously, and the girl nodded.
Zhang Youyou said to them expressionlessly, "That day you called me over to question me about whether I took Teacher Jiang's USB drive. I said I didn't, but you not only didn't believe me, but you even suspected me to others. Now that I have witnesses and evidence, I want you to apologize to me and issue a statement to the whole school to clear my name!"
Finally, Teacher Jiang, who had been holding back, couldn't help but shout sternly, "Zhang Youyou, don't go too far!"
"Am I going too far or are you going too far? You accused me of taking your things without any evidence, not only interrogating me privately but also spreading it around. Did you consider my reputation when you did those things?" Zhang Youyou showed no intention of admitting defeat. "As a teacher, how can you frame a student without any evidence? Is this what a teacher should do?"
After enduring several days of this, Zhang Youyou finally exploded at this moment. Li Donghao tried to pull her away, but she shook him off.
"I demand an apology!" Zhang Youyou forced out the words through clenched teeth, her eyes showing no sign of backing down.
The counselor only knew a little about the matter and assumed that Zhang Youyou had been misunderstood. When he heard that she wanted to apologize, he spoke up without hesitation. However, Li Donghao bowed his head and admitted his mistake before he did.
"I'm sorry, Zhang Youyou, I misunderstood you!"
The counselor repeated what he said, and when it came to Teacher Jiang, although she didn't want to back down, the facts were the way they were, and it wouldn't be good for her to be stubborn, so she reluctantly said "sorry." But Zhang Youyou deliberately turned his head away and said impatiently, "I didn't hear you."

Zhang Youyou saw the USB drive in Li Donghao's hand, took it, examined it carefully, and said quietly, "What a piece of junk USB drive, might as well throw it away!"
The USB drive contained the fruits of Teacher Jiang's hard work over the past few days. If it were just thrown away, all her hard work would be wasted.
