Chapter 5, His Home
He knew the girl he'd watched grow up, so what did he not know? But she had already agreed, so what could he do? He could only hurry home and cook for her.
This was Zhang Youyou's first time visiting his home. He knew his home was near the school, but he didn't expect it to be so close, only two intersections away. The question was, why drive when it was so close?

Holding the still-warm KFC in her arms, she obediently followed behind him.
Li Donghao lived in a building with two apartments per floor. His apartment was just a right turn after exiting the elevator. Before opening the door, he reminded her to remember his apartment number. Zhang Youyou complained, asking why she needed to remember it, since she didn't live there. Li Donghao looked at her thoughtfully and then invited her inside.
Although she didn't expect his house to be bright and shiny, it shouldn't be too dark and gloomy either, right?
"There are no women's slippers, wear mine for now!" Li Donghao took out a new pair of men's slippers for her, and Zhang Youyou's small size 37 feet slipped in with a third of the space between them.
She stared at her tiny feet and asked curiously, "Why are your feet so big?"
If he weren't afraid she would complain, Li Donghao would definitely have kicked her.
"Because she's tall." Li Donghao casually placed the car keys in the storage basket on the shoe cabinet for her to go in, and then took the groceries to the kitchen.
They're looking down on her height again, ugh!
Zhang Youyou slowly walked towards the living room in oversized slippers, taking a look around his home.
His home is decorated in black, white, and gray tones. The dark gray curtains look somewhat oppressive, and the floor tiles are also gray. In front of the snow-white walls is a dark blue four-seater sofa with a large green plant on one side. The TV wall opposite is white and gray, with glass doors on both sides, inside which some of his trophies are displayed.
Lee Dong-ho was outstanding from a young age. In his old house, there were two bookshelves in his study specifically for displaying his trophies and certificates. She and Lee Dong-seok never went there because it was too stimulating for them.
“You’ll sleep in the second bedroom tonight.” Li Donghao came out of the kitchen and saw her still standing there holding the KFC, so he couldn’t help but go over, take the KFC, and put it on the dining table. He also gave her another bag containing her toiletries.
“This is the restroom,” Li Donghao said, pulling her over. “You can just put your things in here.”
Before Zhang Youyou could put her things in, he dragged her to the door next to the bathroom and said, "This is your room. I'll get you a blanket in a bit."
"Why is it the shady side?" Zhang Youyou complained, as her room in the old house was the best one.
“Because I live here!” he said, pointing to the room across the hall. Zhang Youyou glanced at him, then pushed the door open without any politeness. Her room was clean and tidy, although the curtains and sheets were still so plain. She stepped back, then looked at the pink curtains in the second bedroom and accepted it, but she still wouldn’t let it go.
"Why would a grown man use pink curtains?" But the next second, she exclaimed upon seeing the little green dinosaur on the bed, "Oh my god, so cute!"
Li Donghao watched her jump onto the bed with a cheer, picked up the little dinosaur and kissed it a few times, unable to suppress a smile.
She's still that same little girl.
After kissing him a few times and realizing Li Donghao was still there, Zhang Youyou squinted and turned to ask him, "How did you get these? Are they your girlfriend's?"
Zhang Youyou and Li Dongshuo were very resistant to the arranged marriage, but they also prepared for the worst. Only Li Donghao remained silent, but they were used to him being like this, so they never said anything. Now, seeing the pink curtains and the toy dinosaur in his house, Zhang Youyou suspected that he already had someone he liked. If so, they were one step closer to resisting the arranged marriage.
Seeing that she was about to show a gloating expression, Li Donghao suppressed his smile and said coldly, "It was prepared for you."
"Huh?"
