Chapter 56, Peeping Through the Screen

Chapter 56, Peeping Through the Screen

When Li Donghao came out, he didn't see the person at the dining table. His heart clenched, thinking she had left. He subconsciously walked out, but then he caught a glimpse of someone leaning against the sofa playing on their phone. Only then did Li Donghao feel a little relieved.

"Dongshuo said he's coming over next week, do you want to meet him?" Knowing that her temper wouldn't subside so easily, but still needing to find some topics to ease the atmosphere, Lee Dongshuo's call was the best buffer, might as well use it.

"We'll see." Zhang Youyou was too lazy to pay attention to him, but she was still very enthusiastic when dealing with strangers on WeChat.

Lee Dong-ho was now filled with regret, but there was nothing he could do. He came up behind her to give her a massage, but when he glanced at the chat box, his nerves immediately went on high alert.

"Do you have plans for next week?" With his eyes fixed on her phone screen, he changed the subject. Zhang Youyou, engrossed in chatting, was completely unaware that the other person had read her and her new friend's conversation.

"I don't know." She then texted the other person: "What are your plans for next week?"

Meng Xiao: Not at the moment.

Meng Xiao: You can meet if you want.

Zhang Youyou: I'm not sure about next week's plans yet, we'll see.

Meng Xiao: It's okay, but I have a basketball game next Tuesday. You can come and watch if you want.

Zhang Youyou: I will cheer you on!

After sending that sentence, he added a cheering emoji.

Li Donghao clenched his fist as he watched their conversation, the veins on the back of his hand barely visible.

It was rare to meet such a cheerful guy, so Zhang Youyou thought she could get to know him. She closed the chat window with him and went to find Li Dongshuo instead.

Zhang Youyou: Do you have a girlfriend?

Lee Dong-seok probably wasn't on his phone. After waiting for a while and receiving no response, Zhang Youyou logged out of WeChat. When she sat up to get a drink, she noticed Lee Dong-ho standing next to the sofa. Zhang Youyou glanced at him and went straight to the refrigerator to find a drink. As soon as she took it out and turned around, Lee Dong-ho blocked her way, and Zhang Youyou almost fell against the refrigerator.

Neuropathy!

She turned to walk past him, but he stopped her with his hand, instantly shattering the good mood Zhang Youyou had managed to build up.

"Li Donghao, are you sick?" Zhang Youyou couldn't help but shout out.

Although he was burning with rage, Li Donghao held back, not wanting yesterday's events to repeat themselves.

Seeing that he didn't dodge, Zhang Youyou angrily slapped the drink in her hand into his arms. Li Donghao subconsciously reached out to catch it, but Zhang Youyou took the opportunity to slip out from the side, grab her phone from the living room, and go straight back to her room. Li Donghao sighed inwardly.

Why can't you just say a proper apology?

Zhang Youyou sat on the bed in anger, picked up the little dinosaur and gave it a good beating, but then felt sorry for the little dinosaur that had suffered an innocent disaster, so he hugged it and gently comforted it.

About ten minutes later, Zhang Youyou couldn't stand it anymore and got up to go out and argue with Li Donghao. As soon as she opened the door, she saw a bunch of red roses standing at the door with a card stuck on them. Zhang Youyou had to bend down to pick up the card and opened it to see two lines of elegant handwriting.

"Princess Youyou, please be magnanimous and forgive the ignorant Donghao."

She was initially very angry, but upon seeing this sentence, she couldn't help but burst out laughing. Was this really the aloof Lee Dong-ho she remembered?

Zhang Youyou squatted down again and picked up the bouquet of roses. Although she didn't know how many there were, it was very heavy. When Zhang Youyou carried it to the living room, she saw Li Donghao standing between the living room and the dining room in a suit and tie. He had a handkerchief stuffed in his suit pocket, making him look like a butler. More importantly, he was holding a long-handled umbrella in both hands, making him look very strange.

"What are you doing?" Zhang Youyou was bewildered by his series of actions.

"I made you angry, so I should be punished. But we don't have a ruler at home, so you'll have to hit me with an umbrella!"

Zhang Youyou, who had been keeping a straight face, was amused by his words.
